Taverna dei Capitani In Malcesine

I was there last night. We were touring Malcesine for the traditional Ferragosto (August 15th) trip, and we were struck by the name, the menu, and the location. We found a table and didn't regret our choice. Good food with a wide selection, a lovely courtyard with a lovely atmosphere, and friendly waitresses—everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.

This evening at Taverna dei Capitani, we had a simply perfect dinner, undoubtedly the best ever. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and meticulously maintained. The cuisine deserves applause: extraordinary dishes, top-quality ingredients, and exceptional mastery in the combinations and cooking. Each course was a true explosion of flavors. Special praise also goes to the staff: impeccable service, attentive, smiling, and never intrusive. You can sense all the passion and dedication they put into their work. If you find yourself in Malcesine, Taverna dei Capitani is a must-see. We'll definitely be back!

An incredibly beautiful restaurant with excellent food! Simply a special atmosphere! Special compliments to the waitstaff, who did a tough job in the extremely hot summer heat and a packed restaurant, and were always friendly.

The restaurant is tucked away in a courtyard, very quiet and charming. The service was very attentive and efficient. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good. The fish in orange sauce was overcooked; apart from two orange slices, there was no other indication of the sauce. A real shame.
