29/03/2025: THE BEST PAELLA!!! AND A VERY KIND STAFF!!!

16/03/2025: I just went to this Casa Fernandez restaurant and ate a Valencian paella which was the bomb! They speak Spanish and therefore they are really Spanish and it is not the classic improvised restaurant, The rice was perfect, with the right flavor and ideal cooking. The mix of meat, seafood and vegetables was really good, every bite was super tasty. The staff was really friendly and made us feel like we were at home. Strictly Spanish music, the atmosphere is very welcoming, ideal for a quiet dinner with friends! If you are in the area, I absolutely recommend it, the paella is a must try! I can't wait to go back!

02/10/2024: Unfortunately now closed as of 29/9/24. We thought this was the best bar in Malcesine. Great music, the Doors were playing as we walked in, nice atmosphere and friendly people, we found ourselves playing pool with the locals who seemed to make the Rock Cafe Pub their own. Jeanette and Emilio are born bar people who made us more than welcome I hope the future is kind to them.

20/09/2024: We loved it here! Jeanette is a friendly host who is happy to chat the night away whilst allowing you to pick your own music. Great drinks, atmosphere and customer base, amazing!

17/12/2024: Ein tolles Restaurant in direkter Seelage. Riesige Auswahl an Pizza und Pasta. Freundlicher und schneller Service. Die Kinder waren auch ganz begeistert. Preis/Leistung stimmt.

16/10/2024: Update 2024: improved service and food, too bad that next year the temporary closure for works is planned. We will wait for 2026! 2022. Always a nice place but: slowness and distraction in the staff. A diner's dish had been forgotten, none of the waiters had noticed that it was missing from the table... Dry and burnt pizza, good linguine allo scoglio but a little lacking in pasta. Let's hope it improves and returns to being our ---> 2021: favorite inn on the lake!

29/08/2024: Here three different restaurants share the beautiful space under the chestnut tree. We were under the impression that we were consuming ice cream from the gelateria located on the square, but we only realized later that our table was run by the Bar Vagabondo. Bad points for a completely overpriced Fragola cup with only two scoops without whipped cream for ten euros.

15/09/2024: I can highly recommend the Alla Rama restaurant! The service was extremely attentive and friendly, they really took excellent care of us. The food was good and was served surprisingly quickly after ordering. I was thrilled that a delicious limoncello was served after the meal - a generous gesture that perfectly rounded off the visit. The prices are more than fair and offer excellent value for money. All in all, my visit to the Alla Rama restaurant was a nice evening. The friendly staff, food, free limoncello and view make this restaurant a good choice.

07/11/2024: Excellent food, I ate with the family, from spaghetti with swordfish to tagliatelle with meat sauce, bruschetta, red wine and it was all excellent, last but not least the kindness of Alberto and his boys!!! Top highly recommended

21/10/2024: Stunning location, superb food and excellent service. The breathtaking view was a fabulous backdrop to our lunch, tucked away at one end of the town. Easy to find but easy to miss.

05/10/2024: Super schönes Restaurant mit tollem Blick auf den See. Das Essen war leider nur durchschnittlich. Wir hatten Muscheln als Vorspeise und sind uns nicht sicher ob diese überhaupt noch gut waren, der Geruch war eher unappetitlich, der Geschmack des Suds war ganz ok. Danach gab es Gnocchi und Tagliatelle beides ok eher durchschnittlich. Wir würden deshalb nicht noch einmal zum Essen dort hin.

02/04/2025: There is nothing to complain about, from the food to the service. The waiters are very friendly and provide great service. The atmosphere is also great and the food can't be described as more than perfect.

27/03/2025: We had a huge salad and a calzone... very tasty and combined with the very friendly waitress Adil and the incredible ambience it was a real experience.

07/10/2024: Arrived for a late lunch just before they closed to get ready for the evening, but never felt rushed, service was wonderfully polite and food arrived beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Watched as they cleared tables and prepared the room so know how immaculately the staff worked on keeping everywhere clean. Sat in the courtyard where it felt really peaceful, as Malcesine as lovely as it is tends to be a little crowded, but the inside looked pleasant too. Lovely.

12/11/2024: The Osteria alla Rosa in Malcesine is a true gem! As soon as you enter the cozy restaurant you are greeted by the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu offers an excellent selection of traditional dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients. I particularly liked the fish. We particularly recommend the homemade pasta dishes, which are simply delicious. The combination of taste and loving presentation is impressive. The wine selection is also excellent, with many local wines that pair perfectly with the food. The service is attentive and courteous, so you feel comfortable at all times. The location of the Osteria, overlooking the picturesque Lake Garda, makes dining an unforgettable experience. Overall, Osteria alla Rosa is a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a relaxed meal with friends. I highly recommend a visit!

12/11/2024: We went there on the recommendation of our host from Parkresidence Lago di Garda, where you can eat regionally, there are no tourists and it's cheap. We ordered the tasting menu - we didn't like the food. The food is slapped onto the plate and served quickly so that the table can be given away again in the next hour. The dessert "grappa sorbet" was horrible and in my opinion, had an aftertaste of other foods. When paying, when we showed the 20% voucher we got from the accommodation, the boss was very angry. For us and for a consumption of around €100, the behavior was incomprehensible. We will never visit Osteria alla Rosa again and will not recommend it.

22/12/2024: The only five stars are the location and atmosphere. The service is terribly incomprehensible, long waits for everything, no interest in the customer. The food is terribly average, you can see that everything is made for tourists, the drinks are weak and expensive, the food is expensive and I can make better ones at home, nothing is right.

23/09/2024: Two stars for free liminchello and good bear. Otherwise i would say touristic trap maybe? High prices for location but the food was horrible! Pizza was soaked with oil and Vongole? Honestly the worst in my life:( Staff wasn’t that nice and it took them long time to notice that we are finish.

04/10/2024: als Nichtstammgast bekommt man die eher unangenehmen Plätze zu gewiesen, obwohl unreservierte Tische vorhanden sind, an denen man sich wohler fühlen würde. Lange keinen Service, der dann sehr freundlich. Das Essen für eine italienisches Restaurant bzw. Pizzeria unappetitlich angerichtet, wenig Geschmack und bei der Pizza (von uns 4 haben 3 Gäste Pizza bestellt) muss man sagen, dass dies die schlimmste Pizza überhaupt gewesen ist. Das ist ein Massenabfertigungsrestaurant.
