21/09/2025: Thanks to Nicola Furly's (not so positive) review about the overly large portions, we booked a nice table!!! And paying a fair amount for large portions is better than paying a lot for ridiculous portions... the fresh pasta and typical Venetian cuisine were delicious, the beef fillet melted in your mouth, and the staff were friendly!!! Food is one of life's pleasures, so it's better to overdo it than to underdo it.

13/09/2025: The portions were truly oversized. There were 3 of us, so we ordered 2 starters and 1 main course, enough for 6 people. Frankly, for what I ate, it wasn't that fantastic. At least let them know that you're generous with the portions, because there really wasn't enough room for a main course.

05/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An experience worth repeating! It was my first time here and I was truly thrilled! The dishes were excellent, beautifully presented, plentiful, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients. Every course was a delight! A huge compliment also to the wait staff, always friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service was quick but unhurried, and they made us feel truly welcome. A place where you eat well, spend a fair amount, and are treated with kindness.

08/10/2025: I attended the presentation evening for Veneto regional presidential candidate Riccardo Szumki on October 7th. Everything was very well organized, starting with the aperitif, which was delicious, and then following the speakers from the garden with a top-notch audio and video system. Congratulations to the entire Portego staff for the organization!

28/09/2025: Nice location, a renovated former barn with a rustic porch, although close to the road but perfectly camouflaged with a small adjacent park, good and quality food, kind and fast service, abundant and tasty dishes.

30/09/2025: Approved. Truly a stunning location. The menu is very well-curated. I had the ragù and chanterelle pie and the fried chicken (even though it can't cost €16). Everything was good, and we wish we had more.

07/10/2025: Nice place, slightly dated vibe and clientele, but good food—slightly above average in quality. The chicken was very well cooked. The desserts were a sore point for me: small portions (see photo) for the prices. Also, the one pictured was a "crostatina" on the menu, a decidedly misleading term (I'd call it a "biscotto" instead). The waitress hadn't specified, since there was a tart both on and off the menu, that the one on the menu wasn't available, and we ended up with this one, which wasn't quite what we'd hoped for. In any case, it's commendable that they took one of the three desserts off the bill (though Alessandro Borghese would have turned his nose up—all or none, why just one?)

03/10/2025: A true delight. The Polletto al sugo marinao is the house specialty, and truly deserves the title. Tender, flavorful, and wrapped in a rich, fragrant sauce: a dish that wins you over from the first bite. Kudos to the restaurant for this delicacy.

13/09/2025: The dishes are delicious, all made with local ingredients. Wines at excellent prices.

09/09/2025: We fell in love with this place: almost exclusively vegetarian and vegan cuisine with an eye on tradition. Incredible location with a sunset view over the hills. We really appreciated the limited menu: a few choices with seasonal ingredients. We had: bigoli with vegetable ragù, gnocchi alla romana with zucchini pesto, millefeuille with farinata and vegetables, and crostini with smoked hummus. Everything we tried was made to perfection and delicious. I can only post a photo of the dessert because the rest of the dish didn't last long enough to be photographed.

03/06/2025: Why 3 stars: We went for dinner. The quality of the food was good, both the first courses, second courses and side dishes. Small but welcoming location. The first courses were definitely too small, from the photos in the reviews I expected larger portions. I would say the service definitely needs improvement.

03/06/2025: Perchè 3 stelle: Siamo stati a cena. Buona la qualità del cibo, sia dei primi, secondi che contorni. Location piccola ma accogliente. Primi piatti decisamente troppo contenuti, dalle foto nelle recensioni mi aspettavo delle porzioni più abbondanti. Servizio direi decisamente da migliorare.

18/10/2025: Piazza degli Euganei, thanks to its gardens, beautifully renovated a year ago with beautiful plants, flowers, new trees, and fencing, would be a pleasant space in Tufello. Alas, despite the heroic efforts of volunteers from an environmental association who try to keep them clean, the incivility of its patrons regularly reduces them to a landfill. I try to console myself from the sad sight of the disaster by enjoying a good cappuccino, with a firm foam, at the café of the same name in the square, prepared by the affable Mr. Gigi, manager of this small and charming establishment (as of today, October 18, 2025, the drink still costs €1). Inside, you can see several cheerful gouaches by an unknown painter from Bomarzo, depicting pasta dishes with famous Italian comedians. Looking at them, they reminded me of Catherine Deneuve's words: "Italian men have only two things in their heads; the other is spaghetti."
