The food might be good, but it's unacceptable that in this hot season, under the pretext of keeping it cool in the evening, they didn't turn on the air conditioning. This was clearly a cheap choice, as the temperature on the porch was sauna-like. To top it all off, some neighboring farmer had the smart idea of spreading manure right at dinner time, with the obvious stench that ensued. Obviously, dinner was a nightmare. If the air conditioning had been on inside, this inconvenience could have been easily remedied. Embarrassing service: the owners should explain to the waitress (in her already rustic manner, to say the least) that ladies should be served first, not last!

26/07/2026: On July 25th, I celebrated my graduation with lunch at El Portego, and I couldn't have made a better choice!
The venue has a beautiful outdoor park where we had an aperitif, and the interior spaces are also truly well-kept and beautiful.
A special thanks goes to the staff, who were super kind, helpful, and always smiling.
As for the food, everything was truly delicious and plentiful. The quality was truly high.
I also had some friends with food intolerances, and I truly appreciated the preparation and attentiveness of the staff, who handled everything with great professionalism.
I truly recommend this beautiful place. It helped make my graduation day even more special and unforgettable.

Il Cenacolo degli Euganei

18/10/2025: Piazza degli Euganei, thanks to its gardens, beautifully renovated a year ago with beautiful plants, flowers, new trees, and fencing, would be a pleasant space in Tufello. Alas, despite the heroic efforts of volunteers from an environmental association who try to keep them clean, the incivility of its patrons regularly reduces them to a landfill.
I try to console myself from the sad sight of the disaster by enjoying a good cappuccino, with a firm foam, at the café of the same name in the square, prepared by the affable Mr. Gigi, manager of this small and charming establishment (as of today, October 18, 2025, the drink still costs €1). Inside, you can see several cheerful gouaches by an unknown painter from Bomarzo, depicting pasta dishes with famous Italian comedians. Looking at them, they reminded me of Catherine Deneuve's words: "Italian men have only two things in their heads; the other is spaghetti." The bar is obviously a morning gathering place for authentic
"Tufellesi" (or "Tufellians"?).
