28/07/2025: We didn't enjoy the pizza very much. The fried calzone was very oily and the flavor was nothing special. The anchovy pizza was made with pickled anchovies; it wasn't very good, although the dough was decent. The beer was good. The staff was a bit indifferent.

Very good and tasty pizza, on different days of the week it is prepared from different dough. The desserts are amazing, I loved tiramisu. The food is prepared very quickly, we didn't wait too much, high level service. Both of the times I preferred to eat on the terrace, but also inside the restaurant is very cute.

19/08/2025: The view from the restaurant is very impressive. It's a shame that the mushroom tagliatelle, while not cheap, lacked flavor. The French fries weren't the best either.
12/08/2025: We arrived at 12:30 and waited an hour and a quarter for just the first courses.
I had the dumplings, which looked good, but tasted like nothing.
For the second course, after another half hour of waiting, I had the sausage with polenta, mushrooms, and melted cheese. The cheese was cold, and they added a beer to the bill, which I hadn't ordered.

UP. The review was left on the very first day, but the owners are so cowardly that they responded to it only after we checked out.
The photo of the room, the terrible roof where our windows looked out and the mold, that's a fact. But when we asked to change the room, they offered us an even dirtier and more uncomfortable one.
The attitude towards guests is the same as in the response. Rudeness and rudeness.
This was the worst place imaginable. The horror began even before we realized the full extent of what was happening.
The last straw that broke our patience was dinner, which turned into a real nightmare for our son. The administrator assigned us a table. We left our eight-year-old son at the table while we went for food, naively believing he was safe. But within minutes, he found us, pale, confused, and deeply upset. Tears welled in his eyes as he whispered that he had been "kicked out of the table." Strangers, staff speaking a foreign language, had thrown out a small, defenseless child. We were given a second table. And do you know what happened next? After 10 minutes, people approached us again and asked us to leave, and the administrator, seeing this, ran away.
Just imagine this level of service and safety for you and your children\! This is not just neglect – it’s something far more disgusting.
As for the hotel itself, booking through Booking.com promised a beautiful room. Instead, we received something out of a nightmare: an old, dirty, mold-covered room with a view of some creepy roof. The level of conformity to what was declared: 0 out of 100. An absolute failure.
There was no internet in the rooms at all. Neither Wi-Fi nor mobile connection – nothing worked. We felt cut off from the world. The room was permeated with dirt and dampness. Mold all over the bathroom.
Parking? It was somewhere around the hotel, thankfully free. But near the hotel itself, there were very few spots.
And the staff... From the indifferent reception to the frankly hostile dining room workers – it was the worst I have ever seen and could imagine. Their faces radiated antipathy, their actions – contempt.
Never. Under any circumstances. I do not recommend it.

23/07/2025: Disappointing stay – the hotel manager yelled at guests!
Just read the reviews about this hotel to know that the manager is defending himself as best he can, blatantly lying.
PLEASE THINK BEFORE BOOKING.......
We were very dissatisfied with our stay at the Hotel Principe Marmolada. Instead of professional and courteous service, we encountered completely unacceptable behavior – the hotel manager (or guest services manager) yelled at guests, including us. This should never happen, especially in a place that calls itself a hotel.
The dampness in the room.
We felt completely uncared for, and the atmosphere in the hotel was tense and unpleasant. Instead of relaxation, it was stress.
Add to this the mediocre food quality, outdated rooms, and the cold attitude of the staff – we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone expecting even basic respect and hospitality.

18/07/2025: I bought three sandwiches and two packs of cold cuts to make a packed lunch. I asked if they could kindly open the sandwiches. They replied, "We don't cut the bread, but if you want, I can sell you the knife."
All this after having breakfast and spending €18 on two cappuccinos, a croissant, and everything else above.
Too bad, when I'm on vacation in Sappada, I always have breakfast there, for years...

01/04/2025: Locale accogliente, trovo la pizza ben cotta e da gustare. Forse la proprietaria a volte è troppo insistente nel proporre altre portate. Comunque in tutto il personale c'è la cortesia di chi sa fare il proprio lavoro.
Bagni puliti e cosi il locale.
Prezzi nella norma.

Chiedo e mi dicono pieno. Ok grazie. Possiamo per lo meno bere una birretta e goderci 10 minuti di sole in giardino? No , BAR CHIUSO

05/08/2025: Siamo arrivati in una giornata piovosa e per fortuna siamo riusciti a trovare un tavolo con poca attesa (no prenotazioni)...cibo nella media e prezzi decisamente più elevati della Valle, ma ci sta visto il luogo! Peccato però che il servizio sia stato molto confuso (primi appena portati gli antipasti) e frettoloso (sono venuti 4 camerieri diversi per sparecchiare, mentre ancora stavamo mangiando!) E non capisco proprio come facciano in piena stagione a effettuare chiusura pomeridiana dalle 16 alle 18!!!
Ultimo rammarico....mia nipote di 5 annoi aveva lasciato un bastone dentro e, tornata a cercarlo, ho sentito una addetta che diceva alla titolare di averlo buttato, mentre poi lei mi ha riferito di non averlo trovato.... Capisco che per loro non fosse importante, ma per la bambina sì!
31/07/2025: Assolutamente da provare i Wurstel con fritte. La posizione è eccellente, proprio in riva al lago. Noi abbiamo mangiato dentro.

22/03/2025: Ho tanti bei ricordi legati al Rifugio Scoiattoli, dove vado abitualmente fin da quando ero piccola con i miei genitori, ma il trattamento di sabato 15 marzo è stato molto deludente. La direttrice di sala e una delle cameriere ci hanno trattato con scortesia e prepotenza, evidentemente con l'obiettivo di far mangiare il maggior numero di persone nel minor tempo possibile e liberare i tavoli velocemente. Nonostante fosse in corso una nevicata e stessimo aspettando un’amica in arrivo, una delle cameriere ci ha intimato di mangiare in mezz’ora, una richiesta che non è stata fatta agli altri tavoli arrivati dopo di noi. La situazione è degenerata con un'aggressione verbale della direttrice di sala, solo perché cercavamo di fare partire l’ordine della nostra amica un po' dopo il nostro, per far sì che potesse mangiare al suo arrivo. Nonostante avessimo ordinato vari piatti e dolci, ci continuavano a mettere sotto pressione per liberare il tavolo, anche se ci stavamo mettendo lo stesso tempo degli altri tavoli (in tutto un'ora e 10 minuti, incluso il pagamento del conto). A un certo punto, la direttrice ci ha detto, in malo modo e con toni alti, che forse avremmo dovuto andare a mangiare in un ristorante stellato. Questo trattamento ha rovinato la percezione di un posto a cui eravamo affezionate e non è certo il trattamento accogliente che ci si aspetta nelle Dolomiti. Non è ammissibile trattare male i clienti e mettere questo tipo di pressione per accomodare più persone possibili. La reputazione che il rifugio si era costruita era basata sulla qualità del cibo e l’accoglienza. Si invita la direzione a una seria riflessione su che tipi di trattamenti e messaggi vogliono mandare ai clienti.
16/03/2025: Estábamos de excursión en la zona de montaña Cinque Torri y paramos para almorzar aquí como nos recomendó nuestra recepcionista del hotel. Era un día soleado glorioso, así que estaban muy ocupados. Por suerte consiguieron encontrarnos una mesa fuera de la cual era perfecto. ¡Tenía los mejores raviolis caseros de remolacha! De hecho, todos los platos que se estaban sacando se ven fantásticos. El pan era excelente también - siempre el signo de un buen restaurante. Recomendaría encarecidamente este rifugio para el almuerzo en las montañas!
