The positive reviews are incomprehensible.

In the mountains above Brixen...easy to reach by cable car...we ate well here and enjoyed the view...the staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating...everything was clean and hygienic...a beer garden and small children's playground are available...prices are reasonable and fair...
it's worth a stop, nice to have stopped here once...
21/09/2025: A lovely place with a great view, located right next to the Plose cable car station. Stopping for lunch, I enjoyed an excellent Wiener Schnitzel, made with turkey, accompanied by excellent blueberry jam and French fries. I would also recommend their mixed herb soup with stracciatella cheese and crouton. They also have an excellent wine selection. The waiter was very friendly and attentive.

30/10/2025: Our room are big with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The room is very new and comfortable bed. The location is in the middle of city. They provide private parking with short walking distance. Breakfast is so good at their restaurant and they have brewery and craft beer that so delicious.
We went in Aug that is summer. The hotel has no air conditioning and it’s still quite hot at night

12/10/2025: I would have expected considerably more hospitality from an Italian restaurant. Several of us were there and wanted to sit together at a large table in the sun. After being asked whether we wanted something to eat or just a drink, and I replied that we only wanted drinks, we had to sit at two small tables – even though the large table remained empty throughout our entire stay.
The iced coffee was unfortunately just as mediocre as the atmosphere – nothing special in terms of taste. The apple strudel looked pretty (even if the cream was a bit runny), but it tasted really delicious. The cappuccino was at least good.
In conclusion: Anyone who just wants a drink is obviously a second-class guest here. It's a real shame – that's how you drive away customers, not just thirst. There was probably a reason why all the tables outside were empty when we arrived...
05/10/2025: Extremely unfriendly, he didn't feel like serving us and said he wanted to take a break. Guests are not welcome here.

Ristorante La Finestra

14/07/2025: In una delle giornate trascorse alla Plose abbiamo fatto sosta pranzo in uno dei bar ristorante che frequentiamo quando siamo in zona e La Finestra sorge proprio a ridosso della cabinovia.
Ci siamo accomodati nel dehor, ma il locale è anche molto carino all’interno, mentre il menù è più simile a quello di un ristorante cittadino (e quasi stellato) che a quello di un rifugio di montagna e ciò, oltre che per opportuna premessa, anche per farvi capire il livello del bar ristorante.
I piatti non sono moltissimi, ma mediamente gradevoli agli occhi e al palato, con tocchi stagionali e, giustamente, alcuni di essi legati alla tradizione tirolese.
Noi abbiamo optato per una porzione (primo: € 17) de La finestra di canederli con insalata di crauti, assolutamente delizioso nel sapore e molto accattivante nella presentazione (è proprio servito in una piccola anta di finestra!) ed un’ottima insalata di avocado.
A chiudere condividendo un fresco e delicato dessert (€ 6), un Sorbetto estivo con menta, cioè una pallina di gelato alla fragola, una pallina di gelato al limone e sciroppo di menta. Ad accompagnare il pasto due birre (una piccola ed una media) chiare alla spina e due caffè per un totale di € 54. Con ottimo servizio e cura dei particolari.
Mi sento di consigliarvelo, anche solo per un aperitivo o colazione, se voleste regalarvi una coccola ai piedi delle Dolomiti...in questo magnifico scenario della Plose!
