25/05/2026: "A slice of true South Tyrolean happiness" – You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend! There are places that touch your heart, and the Aichnerhof is exactly one of them. Even upon arrival in St. Leonhard, you're captivated by the phenomenal view over the Brixen Valley. But the real highlight is the family itself. Eugen, Theresia, Barbara, and Martina radiate a warmth that's rare these days. You immediately feel welcome and right at home. The old walls breathe history, and the rooms are so lovingly and cozily furnished that you simply don't want to get up. And the food? Absolutely divine! Every dish – from the perfect Schlutzkrapfen (filled pasta) to the sweet Krapfen (doughnuts) – tastes of genuine tradition, handcrafted quality, and a whole lot of love. Here, they don't just cook; they serve up the South Tyrolean way of life. Many thanks to the entire Messner family for unforgettable visits and your wonderful hospitality. You make the Aichnerhof truly special! We are already counting down the days until our next visit with our South Tyrolean friends during the Pentecost holidays in 2026.

08/05/2026: A very charming place, right in the center of Bressanone. Wide selection of wines and carefully prepared dishes.

12/04/2026: We had an aperitif with a selection of very good and particular cheeses but it was a shame that the staff did not enhance the dish with any explanation

01/06/2026: The food was good. However, the service could be improved. We had the lunch menu, which included salad, main course, coffee, and water. We never received the water, and the coffee only came after we asked for it. In general, we rarely saw the waitstaff.

31/05/2026: Located on the promenade in Brixen, the restaurant has a good concept, but it won't be immediately obvious to everyone. The daily risotto looked interesting, but had absolutely no flavor. A shame. Even the pumpkin seed oil couldn't save it. The sweet potato fries were nice, but nothing special. The truffle dip was appropriate and interesting. The friendly waiter urged us to order, as the kitchen was about to close. Fifteen minutes later, new guests were seated at the next table and were able to order without any pressure. That wasn't exactly clever.

15/03/2026: A very nice restaurant. Extremely child-friendly. There's a changing and breastfeeding room. The waitresses were all incredibly kind to us and our daughter. The food was very good. I had a salad with chicken, my husband had potatoes with cheese. Great bread basket. Beautiful view.

06/06/2026: This meal was a complete surprise. We had finished exploring the Val di Funes quite late that day and hadn't planned to eat so far away. Since many restaurants were already closed, we drove for over an hour through the dense fog of the mountains before finally arriving. It was past 9 PM when we arrived, and the restaurant told us their kitchen was about to close, so they could only serve pizza. To be honest, we were exhausted and hungry at that point and didn't care about being picky. The pizza was much better than expected. We ordered a Bufala pizza, similar to an upgraded Margherita. The buffalo mozzarella was very generous, with a rich, creamy flavor, and the aroma of tomatoes was particularly pleasant. It looked simple, but it was the kind of pizza where you could taste the quality of the ingredients. We also ordered a ham and mushroom pizza. The ingredients were very fresh, and the aroma of the ham and mushrooms was natural, without any sense of being half-hearted. After a whole day of hiking and a long drive, these two hot pizzas perfectly soothed our hungry and tired hearts. Often, the quality of a meal depends not only on the food itself but also on the timing, and this meal happened precisely when it was most needed. The staff were also incredibly friendly; even close to closing time, they still made us feel welcome and attentive. The only minor regret was that we arrived too late; it was pitch black outside, and we couldn't see the surrounding scenery at all. We later learned that this was actually a mountaintop restaurant. I believe that coming during the day or in the evening, enjoying the view while dining, would have made for a much more perfect experience. If I ever visit this mountain area again, I would gladly make a detour to have a pizza here.
