25/05/2026: "A slice of true South Tyrolean happiness" – You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend! There are places that touch your heart, and the Aichnerhof is exactly one of them. Even upon arrival in St. Leonhard, you're captivated by the phenomenal view over the Brixen Valley. But the real highlight is the family itself. Eugen, Theresia, Barbara, and Martina radiate a warmth that's rare these days. You immediately feel welcome and right at home.
The old walls breathe history, and the rooms are so lovingly and cozily furnished that you simply don't want to get up. And the food? Absolutely divine! Every dish – from the perfect Schlutzkrapfen (filled pasta) to the sweet Krapfen (doughnuts) – tastes of genuine tradition, handcrafted quality, and a whole lot of love. Here, they don't just cook; they serve up the South Tyrolean way of life.
Many thanks to the entire Messner family for unforgettable visits and your wonderful hospitality. You make the Aichnerhof truly special! We are already counting down the days until our next visit with our South Tyrolean friends during the Pentecost holidays in 2026.

01/06/2026: The food was good. However, the service could be improved. We had the lunch menu, which included salad, main course, coffee, and water. We never received the water, and the coffee only came after we asked for it. In general, we rarely saw the waitstaff.
31/05/2026: Located on the promenade in Brixen, the restaurant has a good concept, but it won't be immediately obvious to everyone.
The daily risotto looked interesting, but had absolutely no flavor. A shame. Even the pumpkin seed oil couldn't save it. The sweet potato fries were nice, but nothing special. The truffle dip was appropriate and interesting.
The friendly waiter urged us to order, as the kitchen was about to close. Fifteen minutes later, new guests were seated at the next table and were able to order without any pressure. That wasn't exactly clever.

15/03/2026: A very nice restaurant. Extremely child-friendly. There's a changing and breastfeeding room. The waitresses were all incredibly kind to us and our daughter. The food was very good. I had a salad with chicken, my husband had potatoes with cheese. Great bread basket. Beautiful view.

05/04/2026: I had a very nice lunch here (asparagus risotto and salad), both were tasty and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. As I sat outside, I can't judge the atmosphere inside, but outside was relaxed and peaceful (Easter Sunday).

Prezzo sopra la media! Posizione molto centrale, quindi di passaggio.

Ristorante La Finestra

14/07/2025: In una delle giornate trascorse alla Plose abbiamo fatto sosta pranzo in uno dei bar ristorante che frequentiamo quando siamo in zona e La Finestra sorge proprio a ridosso della cabinovia.
Ci siamo accomodati nel dehor, ma il locale è anche molto carino all’interno, mentre il menù è più simile a quello di un ristorante cittadino (e quasi stellato) che a quello di un rifugio di montagna e ciò, oltre che per opportuna premessa, anche per farvi capire il livello del bar ristorante.
I piatti non sono moltissimi, ma mediamente gradevoli agli occhi e al palato, con tocchi stagionali e, giustamente, alcuni di essi legati alla tradizione tirolese.
Noi abbiamo optato per una porzione (primo: € 17) de La finestra di canederli con insalata di crauti, assolutamente delizioso nel sapore e molto accattivante nella presentazione (è proprio servito in una piccola anta di finestra!) ed un’ottima insalata di avocado.
A chiudere condividendo un fresco e delicato dessert (€ 6), un Sorbetto estivo con menta, cioè una pallina di gelato alla fragola, una pallina di gelato al limone e sciroppo di menta. Ad accompagnare il pasto due birre (una piccola ed una media) chiare alla spina e due caffè per un totale di € 54. Con ottimo servizio e cura dei particolari.
Mi sento di consigliarvelo, anche solo per un aperitivo o colazione, se voleste regalarvi una coccola ai piedi delle Dolomiti...in questo magnifico scenario della Plose!
