29/03/2026: Just come back from this wondeful place. The most amazing views from the bedrooms windows and all the common areas. We had half board and the food was amazing. Four course dinner and great choices for breakfast. We were there in the last opening week of the hotel but from the service all round you would not have been able to tell. The hotel offer a shuttle service which pick you up and drops you to whereever you need to go around the place, whether for skiing or anything else. Super fast and efficient you just call and they are there within minutes. In general all the staff from the restaurant, reception to the spa are super nice and accomodating. Family run with a personal touch. Will definitly come again!

04/03/2026: We've been going to the Hermitgae as a family for many years and it's one of my favourite hotels. Why? It's family run, big enough to have everything you need including a not huge, but swimmable decent indoor pool and spa, but small enough to be personal. The location is in a quiet wooded spot just outside Madonna with stunning views. Rooms are good and service excellent and there is a friendly minibus to take you into town or the lifts always available Most people go half board - the breakfast is excellent with delicious fresh breads, home baked patisserie, hams, salamis and mountain cheeses along woth perfectly cooked eggs to order, pancakes etc, yoghurts, fresh juices - only complaint is they could do with a decent museli, but you can order properly made porrage - and the coffee, top, along with teas. The dinner this year was the best we have had, strating with a grilled veg and salad buffet with hams, smoked salmon and cold roast beef, then choices of pasta/soup course, brilliant main course and stunning desserts - they also do excellent home-made tea time pastries included Madonna itself is medium-sized, low built resort full of, 3 and 4* family run hotels with some very good cafes and shops - the slopes are varied, maybe not Val d'isere, but pretty good with some v demanding blacks and excellent independent-run ski restaurants. Efficient lifts and snow making means conditions are always good, even though it sometimes gets busy at peak as the area is popular now with Poles and Czechs - overall, magical place, very friendly, the Dolomites beat the Alps in my view and as long as you are not into glitzy 6* spiv hotels, Bio Hermitage is the best you can get!

17/05/2026: We ordered the main course with four choices and dessert, and we loved everything: corn pasta with zucchini, eggplant parmigiana, chickpeas with coconut and vegetables, and leek frittata. The Sacher torte was especially good.

23/05/2026: Dinner from the menu was great. Delicious pizza at fair prices. The breakfast buffet was so-so. At the start of the holidays, it was simply too crowded and they couldn't keep up with refilling.

28/03/2026: There's nothing better than a good, traditional kitchen, a pleasant atmosphere, warm hospitality, a bit of a beer garden or terrace, plates lovingly and creatively arranged because presentation is key, and your apricot dumplings will stay with me forever... The menu is really something special, my dear! Anyone who drives past is missing out! Yes, I'll certainly reveal the secret in my heart; our fellow travelers are always hungry anyway. 19/01/2026: If you want to eat typical, delicious, and plentiful dishes, this is the place to be. It's not a Michelin-starred restaurant, and there's no kitchen crew, so the stars are related to the rustic, family-friendly atmosphere. I think it was the best dinner I've had in these parts, in any case. The dishes were beautiful and delicious, the house wine was up to par, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

02/05/2026: The bar, right in the city center, is a must-see for those who love aperitivo in a comfortable and welcoming setting. The location is super strategic: easy to get to and perfect for a break. It doesn't have a lot of outdoor seating, but you can sit both inside and out without any problem. I often go there for aperitivo, especially for their wide selection of Spritzes: there really are all kinds! (The basil one is a must-try... AMAZING!) They also offer a good variety of canapés, perfect for rounding out an aperitivo. Plus, the girls are really kind and super cute.

11/04/2026: The bread rolls were dry and had probably been sitting behind the counter all day. Overpriced. Friendly service.

30/10/2025: We were pleasantly surprised by the Rableid Alm! While most hikers bypass this rustic hut and continue on to the often overcrowded Eishof Hut, we enjoyed a wonderful break here. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and authentic. The magnificent view of the Ötztal Alps is particularly impressive. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

19/10/2025: Beautiful alpine pasture with a fantastic mountain panorama. Good value for money. I had gluten-free roasted potatoes with fried egg and bacon.

05/05/2026: My wife and I visited Thurnstein Castle for the first time. We'd often walked past it but never stopped in. This was a huge mistake, because this time we were able to enjoy everything: the excellent food with great wine and an aperitif; the staff's absolute friendliness; the excellent value for money; and above all, the view. Since we visit Merano several times a year, we'll definitely include Thurnstein Castle in our itineraries from now on.

07/04/2026: We stayed at Ahner Berghof over Easter and were absolutely thrilled. The location and the view are breathtaking. The farm is modern, family-friendly, and pet-friendly. The host family and staff are so warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. The playground, the swimming pond, and the ponies were fantastic!

10/03/2026: A heartfelt recommendation! We spent a week at the Ahner Berghof with our one-and-a-half-year-old son and were absolutely thrilled. The family and team are incredibly welcoming, the rooms are very stylish, the view is stunning, and the food is divine! We'd love to come back again and again! 🫶🏻

01/05/2026: We had a wonderful time! A first course, a second course with a side dish, homemade bread, two desserts, coffee, and a herbal licorice liqueur—all excellent! Impeccable service, courteous, discreet, and discreet. The place exudes a welcoming, almost intimate feel, without being overbearing or lacking in any way. There's a small reserved parking lot right in front of the entrance. Prices are reasonable; in fact, for the quality, as a customer, I'd say excellent! Oh, and the radio or playlist is absolutely classy, ​​and set at the right volume in the background. Highly recommended!

25/04/2026: The atmosphere is intimate, the place is clean and well-decorated, and the service is professional. Guests feel pampered, and during dinner, the chef and hostess comes to your table and asks if everything is okay. The dishes are amazing: we had several different first courses, each one tastier than the others. And to finish, a strudel with top marks and a cookie with cream ice cream. TOP!!!
