08/01/2025: Since we discovered it, we can't do without it. As soon as we are in Siena we have lunch at this Hostaria. Obviously we don't miss the Carbonara (really good) but also the fried pecorino with honey or the platter of both pecorino and cold cuts. Overall, highly recommended!

14/12/2024: An ice cream parlor located on the side of the road in a pink house, with a large terrace which was crowded with many locals. People with lactose intolerance are offered a wide choice of sorbets, each more delicious than the last. The prices are really fair and the portions are very generous. As for people with celiac disease, the waitress took care to bring out a cone protected in plastic and went to get separate tubs of ice cream in another room after I was able to choose from a list of almost 10 flavors. I really recommend it for people with dietary restrictions who can enjoy quality products and very good value for money.

15/02/2025: Didn't really know what to expect of ciaccino in this place, but wow - not only the person there was super nice, but the quality (and size) of the ones we ordered were a-ma-zing! We thought that ordering the smaller ones (250s) for each of us will be more or less enough, but we couldn't even finish one of these and had to take the other back home. Had to wait maybe 15ish minutes to get them ready, then sat outside on the steps and enjoyed it. Great place, great food!

13/01/2025: An authentic experience among the flavors and landscapes of Tuscany Our visit to Agriturismo Casa al Vento was simply enchanting, an experience that combines the best of Tuscan tradition with warm and authentic hospitality. We were welcomed with great kindness by Francesca, who proved to be impeccable and welcoming. With his smile and his professionalism, he immediately put us at ease, making us feel at home. Francesca accompanied us through the tasting experience with evident passion, carefully explaining every detail of the wines and telling us the history of the farmhouse and its wine production. The wine tasting was one of the most memorable moments: a selection of local labels of intense and full-bodied Reds, each paired perfectly with our charcuterie board. The latter was a riot of authentic flavours, with very high quality cold cuts and local products that spoke of tradition and territory. Every bite and every sip was a real pleasure for the palate. The farmhouse itself is a jewel. Immersed in the Tuscan hills, it offers a breathtaking view of vineyards, olive groves and gentle slopes that seem painted. The spaces are designed down to the smallest details, with a rustic but elegant style that reflects the character of the place. Walking around, breathing the fresh air and enjoying the silence of the countryside was a regenerating experience. I highly recommend Agriturismo Casa al Vento to anyone who wants to live an authentic and relaxing experience, among unique flavors and a postcard landscape. It is a place that knows how to conquer the heart and the senses! We'll be back soon ❤️

A place where it seems that time has stopped, the rooms make you feel at home and take you back to a time when everything was hectic... in short, in this splendid village you can recharge and regenerate Extremely kind and knowledgeable staff...the passion and dedication for this splendid land shines through. Thanks to Andrea for the excellent advice, now all we have to do is drink the wine he recommended, confident that it will be delicious

26/01/2025: Fantastic restaurant, beautiful location in a magical country. Absolutely go there. You can eat like a star at very honest prices for the highest quality. Probably in my wandering around top quality restaurants which I have been doing for 25 years now, this is by far the place with the best value for money! Fantastic❤️

16/01/2025: In the magnificent square of Monteriggioni, a restaurant surprising for its taste and elegance. The somewhat modest entrance perhaps does not do justice to the beautiful internal room, furnished with extreme care and extremely welcoming. The service is characterized by friendliness and professionalism (and even the background music does its part!). The cuisine is simply exceptional: raw materials processed with skill and preparations that reveal talent and creativity. Truly a great dining experience - we will be back!

For the main course, we shared an array of exceptional farmed meats—veal, pork, and chicken—each sourced from the finest regional producers. The pork, in particular, carried the legacy of DOP (Denominazione di Origine Protetta) certification, a mark of origin that guarantees traditional breeding methods and quality. Our waiter, passionate about Montepulciano’s food heritage, described how Tuscan pork is raised with the utmost care, following time-honoured practices that ensure tender, flavourful meat. This was not just veal but a product of centuries-old regional expertise, where breeding and rearing techniques have been refined to perfection. Paired with a Montepulciano DOC wine, known for its deep ruby hues and balanced tannins, the meal unfolded as a celebration of local excellence. Every bite spoke of tradition, every sip a reflection of the land, and together, they formed a dining experience that did not disappoint. This was more than a meal—it was a taste of history, heritage, and the senses all at once.
