10/01/2026: If you're looking for a place where time seems to have stood still, making room for conviviality and authentic flavor, this osteria is your ultimate destination. The owner makes everything magical. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were welcomed not as customers, but as friends. His passion is palpable. And then there's the food. To call it "fantastic" would be an understatement. Each dish is a tribute to Sienese tradition with a Roman twist (given the owner's origins), prepared with top-quality ingredients that explode in your mouth. Polenta with wild boar ragù and pici with wild boar ragù were the dishes I ordered. I can only describe them as majestic. If you want to eat divinely and feel part of a family, look no further. I would return to Siena just for this restaurant, even just to chat with the owner and rediscover that feeling of home that never fails to be found here.

23/12/2025: The cold cuts and crostini weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either. We ordered an off-menu entree recommended by the waitress, but we were disappointed by the final price. Of course, we hadn't explicitly asked for the price of the dish either, but a little rounding up in favor of the customer on the bill was appropriate. The atmosphere was nice and warm.

14/12/2025: A lovely osteria near Asciano. Perfect, homey atmosphere with excellent homemade dishes and pasta. Excellent value for money, definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

29/12/2025: A fairytale place, in the middle of the Sienese countryside, a little paradise on earth, the rooms are well heated and welcoming, the chef at the restaurant is exceptional, her dishes are perfection.... Very professional and available staff at any time, highly recommended!!!!

I always find myself in a dark area near the door without being able to see a light or a sign, and Maps doesn't guide me. If you explain, maybe I can find you. I'm giving a provisional opinion, but I don't know if Maps publishes it.

04/01/2026: We booked for Christmas Eve dinner weeks in advance. We were seated outside on the patio, and despite the heaters, we ate in the cold, wearing jackets and scarves. The cold made it hard for me to digest, and I had a sleepless night. Never again.

28/12/2025: This was our first meal of the day in Siena, and it set everything in motion just right. We arrived without a reservation and were welcomed anyway, with an ease and kindness that instantly slowed us down. The service throughout lunch was warm and attentive, friendly without trying too hard, carrying a quiet charm that stayed with us. The food followed the same honest rhythm. The Cacio e Pepe was simple and perfect—smooth, balanced, and deeply comforting. The fungi mushroom risotto was rich and earthy, cooked with care and perfection. Around the table, pork steak and pork pasta were met with the same quiet approval, plates gradually emptied between easy conversation. Dessert lingered in the best way and almost transcended us into a celestial reality. The cheesecake is a must-light, delicate, and satisfying without excess. The affogato came last, clean and effortless, sealing the meal gently rather than loudly. We left with our heart and stomach full but not heavy, content but still curious what day might still bring forward. A beautiful way to begin the day.

31/12/2025: This was one of the most delicious surprises of our trip to Italy in August. A Dutch chef who not only creates traditional Italian dishes but also brings a touch of refinement to the plate and a fun twist by choosing different, less common ingredients. And what a view from the terrace! Fantastic! 👌

05/01/2026: Good place for a quick lunch or aperitivo. They don’t serve cooked dishes ‘like pasta’. Had a plate with a variety of pecorino cheese with ricotta, but that was it. Me and my husband had both the ‘vegetables’ but arrived some preserved like zucchini’s, beets and artichokes. I think their price is expensive in proportion of what we ate. All of the above, €51 with 2 glasses of wine.
