13/06/2026: The place was excellent, the room was far too large and bare. To set up a table for 30 guests, they managed not to lift a single chair by dragging them around the room....when the guests arrived, the soundproofing was completely absent....just a lot of noise. It's a shame because the pizza is really good.

28/06/2026: Babalù is a restaurant that offered me pleasant moments of relaxation, with seating on a terrace offering a privileged view of the Trani harbor. All the seafood dishes, from appetizers to first courses, from main courses to side dishes, were a true delight. The visual presentation was also meticulously crafted. The table service was always pleasant and punctual. Maurizio, the manager, founder, and owner, was a passionate, professional, and warm presence, welcoming me to Babalù for many lunches and dinners, with the care and attention of someone who understands the needs of his clientele perfectly. Five stars for Babalù and Maurizio because they best represent the heart of Trani's restaurant scene and the Apulian spirit.

27/06/2026: They don't deserve the rating. €19 for a spritz and a beer. €3 service charge, €2.50 for olives, and €1.50 for chips. How embarrassing.

16/08/2026: We had lunch yesterday on Ferragosto, a real disappointment. The price per person was 60 euros. From the dirty water bottles to the chipped carafe, the food was equally disappointing. Almost all the dishes lacked salt and flavor. The pasta was tough or overcooked, as was the risotto. The portions were meager. The sea bream "on a small vegetable garden" was actually sea bream with two small steamed vegetables, not even seasoned. The meat menu was also tough and overcooked, and the first course had a meaty flavor of fish broth. The service was unprepared, the waiters forgot to bring water, one waiter in particular seemed annoyed by our requests. The children's menu included a cutlet as a main course, a frozen product thrown in the fryer, and chips covered in oil. There was a pool outside where some children had gotten close, and they were told there had been a "contamination problem." Overall, the smell was of filth, both inside and out. Even when we went to drink the amaro, we were given an amaro in an unlabeled bottle; I don't think that's legal. We also pointed out that the menu listed babysitting service for children, and we were told with an almost mocking smile that the babysitter had been outside in the play area for four hours, a play area that was practically unusable due to the extreme heat. Furthermore, no one had warned us, and no one had shown up to look after the children. Overall, a terrible experience; we definitely won't be returning. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a nice family evening.

05/07/2026: I had the Prugna and Lotus flavors. It's so delicious, seriously so good. The portion is huge, too. It's only 3 euros for two flavors, yikes. I lived in Italy for about half a year, and this is one of the best gelatos I've had since then. 😍😍
