21/10/2025: We already knew it was a "special" place, but the fact that over time everything was only amplified was pure magic. A small, well-kept space, where the feeling upon entering is like stepping back in time. Checkered tablecloths, sparkling glasses, and meticulously ironed and folded napkins... Saturday evening: no menu, just Tony's expert explanation, detailing the two types of menus, meat or fish. Homemade bread, no pre-packaged or processed products, just the mastery of the chef kneading and baking amazing bread. A "small" space with soft lighting, a few tables, and only the energy and knowledge of the raw materials behind each dish he presented to us. We were six friends, and each of us replied: this deserves to be in the top five of places to eat well in the area. Reservations are recommended; in fact, I highly recommend booking and spending a wonderful evening with your friends, because in addition to Tony, his wife will be there to welcome you, and with her sweetness and infinite patience, she will accompany you on this culinary journey. 10 stars!!! 18/09/2025: A fine restaurant with an eye for detail. The food is well-prepared, and the service is impeccable. However, with its Michelin-starred restaurant, it's not suitable for those on a tight budget. Booking ahead is recommended.

17/09/2025: I am used to good restaurants and am relatively demanding. But here, I am amazed by so much mastery. Whether in the kitchen, the service and the atmosphere in general, nothing is left out at Hazard. I have never eaten gnocchi and a fillet of beef (ceps) so well prepared and so good. Even more surprising is the price which is very affordable in any case for the quality offered. I only have one word to say: bravo to you and congratulations. Remember to book, they are victims of their success.

29/10/2025: I discovered it by chance while browsing restaurants in the Domodossola area on Google Maps, and in the end I decided not only to eat there but also to sleep there, and I must say it was the perfect choice. First and foremost, the helpfulness and hospitality of the staff. The lady who welcomed me made me feel at home right away and accommodated all my requests, even before I arrived. The hotel is rustic in style, housed in the rooms of an ancient palazzo in the small historic center of Vogogna. The furnishings are basic, but the rooms are very spacious and warm. It's wonderful to wake up in the morning to the sound of the bells of the nearby church and the mountains of the Ossola Valley. The price is incredibly affordable (€50/night in a single room + a croissant and cappuccino for breakfast). As for the restaurant, I was lucky enough to try it for dinner upon my arrival, and I must say the dishes were all delicious, from the marinated Fassona beef tartare with truffle mustard to the raviolini del plin with fondue and saffron sprouts—everything was exquisite and prepared without being pretentious. I really enjoyed the menu, featuring local specialties. Well done! The atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by, with the typical warmth of a tavern. I highly recommend this place, both for the food and as an excellent stopover for nearby Domodossola and the foliage train. I'll be back. Thanks for everything.

10/10/2025: I'll start by saying that it was recommended to me by locals, so despite the high but mixed reviews, I decided to try this Osteria. The road to get there, in my opinion, is accessible and typical, but only if you have no particular driving difficulties. We're not in the plains, so it's typical mountain roads, weather-beaten... but they're easily passable. If you have trouble parking in Milan, leave your car on the main road and take a walk that won't ruin your appetite. As for the restaurant itself, I'd say it's worth a visit; it's very characteristic and offers a truly evocative view. Personally, I think the location is worth the effort. As for lunch, I have to say I enjoyed it; the dishes were good and the portions were normal, except for the platters, which I found a bit on the small side. Sometimes tastes can confuse the perception of flavors. I found the first courses to be very light and delicate; I personally had the linguine with porcini mushrooms, and I usually find more bold flavors. For the platters, I think it's different... the cured meats were good, as were the jams, but the portions were very small. The dessert was good, but described differently than it was when it arrived. There was ice cream, but it wasn't mentioned. It didn't detract from its deliciousness; in fact, being an apple tart, it paired perfectly. Sometimes, however, different expectations can be confusing and risk disappointing. I would return, for the location—certainly, it's best if it's a nice day, but it's still beautiful regardless—to better understand the flavors and dishes. Sometimes in certain places, you expect strong, bold flavors, while here everything is very delicate. Worth a try...

07/07/2025: Serata tra amici, una ventina, il ristorante ha qualche tavolo occupato oltre al nostro. La proprietaria (credo) ci consiglia di prendere Max 3 risotti perché e’ più semplice per loro organizzarsi. Scegliamo i 3 risotti e …. Non uno se ne salvava! Veramente pessimi tutti e 3. Era una base di riso bianco troppo cotto con sopra ma totalmente slegato il lieve condimento. Il tutto insapore ed insipido! In uno c’era anche un capello! Onestamente le recensioni sono tutte ottime e quindi siamo stati molto delusi ed abbiamo pensato o a recensioni fasulle fatte da amici o che in cucina non ci fosse il cuoco e qualcuno avesse improvvisato (male!) per evitare di disdire le prenotazioni! Purtroppo devo valutare l’esperienza terribile!

03/07/2025: I was for dinner a few weeks ago, the restaurant is located above Lake Mergozzo, a truly beautiful place. There were two of us, a black risotto and a lake fish, all good... good value for money... it is better to book and go a little early because there is little parking... the staff is kind and friendly.

17/11/2025: The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a unique style. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the dishes, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in the VCO area.

09/10/2025: The waitress was very nice and friendly. The bar is certainly OK for drinks right by the lake. The food, however, is at least disgusting. The dishes served bear no resemblance to the pictures on the menu. Instead of tuna sauce for Vitello Tonnato, a thick smear of mayonnaise is served on the plate. Underneath, there's dried-out meat and on top, three mini cans of capers. The schnitzel tastes like cardboard; it's actually been cooked in a deep fryer and is anything but crispy. The breading is absolutely sticky and disgusting! The fries look appetizing, but taste like burnt oil that probably hasn't been changed in years. Only edible with a good amount of ketchup. So: better to go a few meters further for your meal if you want it to be edible!

25/10/2025: Breakfast was very plentiful. Reception was very helpful and friendly. German was also spoken. Dinner was also good.

20/10/2025: The owner and the entire staff were incredibly nice. The hotel's location is simply fantastic. With the slightly cooler temperatures, the room was very cold because the windows weren't airtight. Breakfast was good, but not great. Overall, I can recommend the hotel.

07/10/2025: The dishes were prepared with care and taste. Although the portions aren't very generous, the prices are quite high. The place is small and fills up quickly, and the noise level can get very loud. Friendly service. Good vegetarian options.
