28/12/2024: Bella location in ottima posizione panoramica con vista sul Mottarone e il Lago di Orta. Interno molto curato ed elegante, personale attento e cordiale ci si sente subito a proprio agio. Ottimo cibo e strepitoso carrello dei dolci e formaggi. Ovviamente tutta questa attenzione si paga un po' di più ma ne vale proprio la pena. Sicuramente torneremo.

19/10/2024: Congratulations to the Manager! Guy... nice, kind and polite! Location..very nice, colorful and particular! Even relaxing...eating an excellent sandwich with live music in the center of Stresa...listening to it from the particular balcony of this place! I'll tell you more.. you can eat a sandwich of any size you want.. And above all you are a stone's throw from the lake...and the pier...special!! Bravo!! Here are photos of the sandwiches.. they are not needed.. they are good.

13/11/2024: The Dining Manager was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and menu, and gave us great advice. Exquisite cuisine: we really enjoyed Mamma Rosso's meatballs and the meat fillet, cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back, it's a really nice place. 01/11/2024: Restaurant très mignon dans une petite rue au calme. Personnel tres gentil et très accueillant, parle français en plus de ça. Le service était super. La qualité de la nourriture très bonne vraiment du vitello tonato aux polpettes passant par les raviolis à la crème de parmesan. Je recommande 100%

06/01/2025: 4 of us went for lunch and chose to try the first round. It wasn't the first time we came to eat here and we had never been disappointed, in fact we always had a great time, but this time the positive review was a must. The formula includes the possibility of tasting first courses present in the à la carte menu but also in the chef's advice menu, in a random order chosen on the spot by the chef; this allows you to both try many different flavors and taste foods that perhaps you wouldn't have chosen to completely change your mind about your tastes 😂 The portions are not exaggerated but more than fair and each course was a pleasant surprise. We note the search for local and seasonal raw materials, but also for new and unexpected combinations. We ate: - Ossola gnocchi - ⁠tagliatelle with venison ragout - Pumpkin, rosemary and amaretti risotto - ⁠pappardelle with artichoke sauce - ⁠braised ravioli with boscaiola sauce - ⁠dumplings with local cheese and truffle fondue - ⁠ricotta and spinach daisies with nettle sauce - ⁠legume soup - pumpkin and ricotta daisies with butter, saffron and marjoram - ⁠onion soup - local tripe - lasagna with meat sauce - ⁠carbonara with salmon trout One dish better than the other! And the first round includes lemon sorbet, a necessary and highly appreciated finishing touch. Many compliments to the chef for the idea and the execution, thanks to the dining room staff, made up entirely of young, polite and smiling guys, who welcomed us very well and complied with our every request, and to you who had the patience to read everything, let me recommend this place and I assure you that you will not regret it.

02/11/2024: I went there with friends and after a long time I also saw the two upper floors of the place. In addition to the typical beer we also tried to eat a 700g pizza and it was excellent. We saw some desserts going around that were nothing short of exceptional in terms of quantity and appearance. I confirm that I like the place and it is furnished in a retro style of a tavern of the past with wooden tables and chairs "type of tavern of the past" and it is an aspect that I like. There is an excellent homely smell and a kind welcome. I will be back this Saturday for dinner. Visited in December 2012 -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- I had already been there many months ago for a dinner and now for New Year's Eve 2015 it was a pleasant confirmation. On New Year's Eve they have an à la carte menu, with prices identical to other days but above all with enviable service and quality, a sign of how well they know how to organize themselves even on special occasions. The starter tomini were exceptional, abundant in quantity and presented in a simple way but also tasty to the eye. My first course was Anzola gnocchi with chestnut cream and the taste was priceless and also in this case the quantity was very abundant. For desserts, as a sweet tooth, I took an average strudel and some chocolate salami. Little? I would say no because I was very full even though I would have liked to try a second one. Also note that we were brought a bitter, free of charge, and fresh and dried fruit included in the price. Obviously, it was New Year's Eve and it wasn't quiet, but the quality of the dishes, the courtesy of the waitresses and the speed of service make me give five stars for a wonderful and highly recommended pub/tavern. 10/12/2024: If I could not even give one star I would. I had booked the dinner to celebrate my daughter's baptism, more than a month in advance, but a week before the scheduled day they sent me an SMS (don't even waste a phone call) to warn them that they would not be able to accommodate us because they had organizational problems that then in the end their holidays turned out. I congratulate them for their "seriousness" in dealing with the situation with a banal SMS and for their zero sincerity. Until now I had never written anything, also because I never set foot there again, but for a week now the suggestion to review the place has kept coming to me because I walked past it... several years have passed since the fact but I was tired of biting the bullet and decided to tell my experience. I hope at least that in the meantime they have improved on a human, organizational and professional level because the location deserves it. In response: My husband, very kind and understanding, did not want to express what he really thought to avoid arguments with her who proved to be an arrogant, overbearing person and not very inclined to resolve the problem. I read the responses you gave to the negative reviews and I hope others do too because from there you really understand who you are dealing with. I wish you a good continuation, not that you can then say that I'm not kind!

02/12/2024: Recommended place, very nice and friendly staff! I went on a Saturday for lunch, the food is good and they also make very good wood-fired pizzas. Recommended and I hope to return.

08/12/2024: I went on a Sunday for lunch with the family. We took the house menu. We ate well and abundantly. The staff were very kind and attentive, even though the room was full. I would say that for what we ate, the price was commensurate. Compliments to the chef for the mushroom risotto which was excellent.

18/11/2024: I stayed at this hotel last month and had a great time it's right on the main road, with very convenient parking both next to the hotel and across the road the environment is very familiar but it is clean and the staff are friendly it is the typical mountain chalet with lots of wood, very well cared for and furnished the room not very large but welcoming with a nice balcony although given the season we didn't use it the bathroom spacious and clean normal breakfast although the croissants were very good and fresh we also had dinner at the hotel there were three first courses, a second course with a choice of meat, fish and more, dessert and coffee all very good I will come back for sure

The vegetable strudel and the tagliatelle with game ragù are absolutely worth trying! P.S. the road to reach the venue is very practicable with any car.
