30/04/2026: Very good food. The atmosphere is simple but elegant, though a bit cold for my taste. A little background music would have been nice (I think there was music, but it was really too low, almost inaudible, so I don't remember exactly). The staff was professional but aloof and unwelcoming. Nothing to criticize severely, but there's room for improvement... like everything else!

10/05/2026: This has become our favorite place. Dining here is truly a treat. The atmosphere is relaxing, with the right lighting and elegant, beautiful decor. The menu is amazing; there's never a single dish to criticize; from appetizers to desserts, everything is always delicious. Stefano, the owner, is very knowledgeable and helpful; every wine pairing is perfect. The waitress is attentive, precise, and very kind. I can't find a single flaw. I absolutely recommend the vitello tonnato and the artisanal ice cream, which is simply breathtaking. Compliments to Stefano and his entire staff.

12/04/2026: I didn't know this place, I found it by chance and convenience, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! A quick lunch for our needs, but everything was perfect and delicious: the food, the place, and the staff. A truly beautiful place, and I'll definitely return when in the area.

07/05/2026: I've been wanting to come to this restaurant for a while, and I finally made it! The choice couldn't have been better; we had a great time. Already on the phone, when I asked if it was possible to have lunch à la carte, even on a weekday (when the set menu is the main attraction), I was impressed by the restaurant's integrity and professionalism. They warned me that I might have to wait. Anyway, we showed up at 12, and I must say they were super professional, and we didn't have to wait at all. We enjoyed a generous Novarese platter (salame della duja, fidighina, sweet and spicy gorgonzola, amazing sweet and sour onions, honey, and walnuts), followed by a delicious tartare (bacon tartare). I chose a beef tagliata with zola and hazelnuts; the meat was perhaps a little tough, but it was tasty. For the side, artichokes with potatoes. The dishes are truly generous. We also had an exquisite dessert, a bonet without chocolate, truly delicious. With an excellent Dolcetto, we reached the pinnacle of satisfaction. Service was fast, professional, and courteous. The bill? Light. We'll definitely be back; we're looking forward to some mouth-watering first courses.

03/05/2026: An excellent culinary experience with a slight lapse in style at the end ​I recently dined at Le 2 Suocere and I must say that, in many ways, the experience was memorable. ​Strengths ​Ambience and Hospitality: The restaurant is warm and welcoming, perfect for those seeking a refined atmosphere just steps from the city center. The convenience of free parking nearby deserves a special mention. ​Service and Baking: The staff is meticulous and attentive. The homemade breadsticks and bread (in various flavors) are very popular, a detail that demonstrates great care for the ingredients. ​The Cuisine: The meat served is high-quality, as are the other ingredients. It's been years since a restaurant surprised me so much with its food pairings. For example, the gorgonzola sorbet served with fruit is a masterpiece: a perfect balance where the freshness of the fruit undercuts the boldness of the cheese. Truly remarkable. The Sore Point: ​Unfortunately, the evening was marred by a detail I consider a real lapse in style. Toward the end of the meal, our half-full bread basket (which costs €3) was taken away and replaced with a new, full one, without us asking. Although the gesture might have seemed like a courtesy, I found myself billed for two baskets totaling €6. Regardless of the paltry sum, I find it unfair to charge for an unsolicited "reserve," especially if it's served after the meal is almost over. In a restaurant of this caliber, customer service should also include transparency regarding these little extras. ​In summary: Excellent cuisine and refined flavors, but be careful with the details on the bill, as they risk ruining the memory of a wonderful evening.

11/05/2026: I absolutely don't want to argue about the quality, even though we're not ice cream wizards, but what really bothers me is having to pay €3.80 for a cone with three flavors, which in other places maybe costs €2.80 at most. And anyway, it would be fine if at least the cone exploded, but instead, this is a meager ice cream that's already gone with just a few licks. You artisans, using the excuse of rising costs, are exaggerating the prices, so don't complain if people start disappearing.

18/04/2026: For this gastronomic investigation, Watson and I are in Briga Novarese, and the subject of our investigation is the Mottarone restaurant. After booking through Google, we arrive about 20 minutes early and, finding the restaurant open, we ask to be seated despite the time not yet being our reservation. We are granted a seat, and we take this courtesy as a plus for our investigation: not all restaurateurs are so generous! The staff, mostly female, is very young, but knowledgeable and courteous. We are provided with the menu and wine list: we decide on a cabbage and pikeperch roll, a surprising combination. We skip the first course and order a mixed fry, which adds tempura vegetables to the standard squid, shrimp, and calamari. We finish with two different desserts: Watson gets a tarte tatin, and I a sort of meringue with berries. We washed down our dinner with a bottle of Franciacorta Zero Spaccato and a bottle of mineral water, and finished it off with two complimentary coffees. We spent €63 each, with the bubbles alone costing us €36.

05/05/2026: The place was very spacious and nice. As soon as we arrived, the all-you-can-eat pizza buffet started, with great pizza flavors. The sweet pizzas weren't up to par with the savory ones.

25/04/2026: One because zero is impossible. Not for the quality, but for the service. Sunday evening, a store with a couple of customers besides me and my partner. We ordered and paid for two cups of ice cream (€6.60), served by a young man and a young woman of Spanish origin. I asked if the salted caramel flavor contained nuts, and the woman told me she had the allergen list in the kitchen and asked if I needed to consult it, and I said yes. First mistake: BY LAW, THE ALLERGEN LIST MUST BE CONSULTED BY THE CUSTOMER. The employee goes into the lab for a few minutes, but when she comes back, she tells me she can't understand what was written. She sent a voice message to the person preparing the cookies, but since it's 10:35 PM, they wouldn't respond. So I ask her if the cookies contained dried fruit, but again, the answer is "I don't know." Frankly, a little annoyed by the lady's lack of professionalism, I tell her that by law, she should know this, but the girl tells me to breathe. INDECENT AND INCOMPETENT! First of all, you don't treat customers like that, and after all, we're talking about health, not whims. Training and information on legislation and how to behave when performing a job that involves contact with the public should be mandatory requirements.

04/05/2026: Yara's father, I celebrated May 3, 2026 in this beautiful structure. The service was splendid, they have a very kind staff, always ready to please, but above all polite, the timing of the courses was perfect, but above all the food was fabulous, not to mention the price of everything, truly top notch. I would choose this structure a thousand times again and at the next event, I already have compliments from them again to all the staff and to the owner, very helpful as well and above all a person ready to satisfy you in every single detail.
