08/05/2026: I waited before writing this review because I also work with customers and know exactly how exhausting it is; but it's also true that 1) technically, we should enjoy what we do, and 2) we're perfectly capable of figuring out how to work to live well with ourselves and find the right balance. There were five of us, a little girl, and a 4-month-old puppy. 🐶 We came on a Sunday afternoon (and I expected it to be full, which it was), and they sat us at the only free table. They gave us the menu, which was quite extensive with plenty of choices, so it would have taken a few more minutes to figure out what to choose. Exactly two minutes later, a girl came to ask if we were ready to order. She was a Monday morning kind of girl, with a 7:00 wake-up call and a rush for who knows what. If there really was a rush, it could have been rushed by someone who'd been sitting there for hours (a completely flawed concept, but I still don't see why we should rush and rudely treat someone who'd just sat down!), so I asked for a few more minutes to choose. Apparently, the answer didn't go down well; the girl left feeling quite annoyed. When it was time to order, another girl came over. I asked for a brioche with ice cream, and was immediately told it included cream. I said fine, and chose my flavors. When it was brought to my table, I noticed the cream was missing. So I asked for an explanation, and it was taken away, and the cream was added. The problem was that I had to eat in a hurry because it took a long time to bring the brioche back, and the ice cream inside was already almost completely melted on the paper napkin my brioche was resting on, which was obviously already soaked in ice cream. Now, I certainly didn't expect the brioche to be remade, because I'm not that kind of person, but at least to let it firm up and fix everything a bit? I don't think I'll come back. I'm usually someone who gives second chances, but I just can't justify the fact that no one "apologized" even for the mix-up and the simple omission of cream in the ice cream brioche, which, I repeat, wasn't my addition but was already included. Ability to retain new customers: zero. Keep your regulars; I'd rather walk two more meters, but I won't be coming back!

25/04/2026: Last Sunday afternoon, we went to this bar/cream parlor, where we come every time we're in Giaveno. There were three of us: my wife, me, and my 93-year-old mother. We sat on the outdoor veranda. The place was quite busy, but there were still a few free tables. We consumed our usual amount (about 18 euros), also placing two orders, the last of which was a coffee and a small bottle of water. After about 40 minutes, as soon as we'd finished our coffee, the waiter, the only male member of the service staff on the outdoor terrace, approached us and asked us to vacate the table. Frankly, this request was incomprehensible and out of place, considering that: * we hadn't occupied the table for hours * we'd spent a fair amount * there were other free tables * an elderly woman was sitting with us It felt like they were trying to free up our table for other customers simply because it was more popular because it was near the open window. A disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. Honestly, it left me speechless. We won't be returning.

18/05/2026: Perfect for a quick lunch break, excellent value. The staff is always friendly and helpful; going there feels like visiting family. Everything is good, even the pizza.

14/06/2026: The hotel is located in an old castle. While the restaurant is high-quality, new, and modern, the rooms are furnished in a much older style. The pool is very nice. The grounds are uniquely beautiful. Weddings take place at the hotel on weekends, so it gets a bit noisy.

10/06/2026: We couldn't have chosen a better place for our wedding! The venue is absolutely stunning, but the real added value was Sara and Luca. Their availability, patience, and flexibility during the planning and on the big day were invaluable. They managed everything flawlessly, giving us a sense of peace of mind. Our guests were enthralled by the beauty of the place and the hospitality. A well-deserved five stars for a magical place and super professional management!

13/04/2026: Easter meal with family: prosecco as an aperitif with accras, 4 antipasti (gnocchi, ravioli), leg of lamb sorbet with potato, carrots, ice cream with strawberries, 1 slice of Italian Easter cake with cream, sweet wine, coffee and after-dinner drink, white wine, red wine, all for 50 euros, a treat.
