Hi, I really want to write a review because today, April 6, 2026, I went to eat Ligurian dishes (especially their focaccia Genovese, the Recco one, and the farinata) and to say that we were treated very well would be an understatement... the girl who served us was kind, helpful, polite, and professional... after 15 years since I had been there, we felt like we were at home... excellent quality of food and raw materials, and the owner was also friendly... congratulations, truly, and keep it up...

Every time we return to Rapallo, there's one stop we can't miss: Il Focacciaio.
It's not just focaccia... it's that aroma that overwhelms you as soon as you arrive, it's the first warm bite that instantly puts you back in the Rapallo mood.
Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just the right amount of flavor: simple, but done right.
It's one of those places that becomes a given.
You come back once... and then you never stop.
For us, it's become a tradition. And every time is like the first.

I'd love to write poetic phrases, technical analyses of what I ate, and so much more, but it's simply an exceptional cheese focaccia, served in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Try the pizzas, which taste like schiacciatas that you can't find anymore. Next time.
If you're in Rapallo and don't come for a cheese focaccia here, you'll regret it!
There's not much space inside, so it's best to book, but they also offer takeout.
Okay, I'll order another portion...enjoy your meal.

A must-stop. A taste of everything for a mix of rare tastes and flavors. Everything is truly delicious. The atmosphere is simple but welcoming.

An excellent place if you want to eat local Ligurian products, especially if you're seated and served.
Also available on Sundays are cooked dishes, focaccia, and more.
Prices, however, shouldn't be on par with a takeout restaurant.
Overall, recommended, but consider it an alternative to a good trattoria.
