And above all I am writing this review dedicated to a simple and special place, and in its own way secluded from the tingle saturated with noise and vitality that characterizes that stretch of Via Appia Nuova that passes through Piazza dei Re di Roma and runs straight to the Colli Albani metro stop. This truly perfect bar and pastry shop to start a new day with a tasty breakfast made of classic cappuccinos and espressos but also a sumptuous variety of very fresh and crunchy high quality desserts such as Danishes, croissants and pinwheels - filled with chocolate, raisins , pistachio, or honey, custard, and white chocolate and walnuts, - it's called IL DUETTO and is open from 6.00 am in Via Circonvallazione Appia, 1a. This place struck me immediately because it has the special magic of transmitting a clear sensation of calm and balance to the customers of the moment already sitting at the tables in the internal room even when - as ALWAYS every morning - it is full of other customers waiting patiently and in an orderly manner. to receive the foods required to compose the perfect breakfast according to everyone's intimate desires. But to obtain such a high standard professional result you need three very rare qualities pushed to the highest possible level, which is why I like to give my FIVE STAR approval to KINDNESS, COMPETENCE and extreme DEDICATION to the work and meticulous care of each individual customer expressed every single day by Mr. PAOLO, and by the kind ladies SARA and NICOLE, his precise and smiling collaborators at the coffee and pastry counter. But I also like to point out that the breakfast break here at the IL DUETTO bar takes on an even more special dimension for anyone who is a lover and lover of good reading, thanks to the possibility of sitting for as long as you deem appropriate and choosing a novel or an essay never read before from the shelves of the internal room, - perhaps even in a very rare edition and published in the past decades, - and in the meantime having the possibility of leaving one's smartphone to charge at one of the electrical sockets generously made available to the customers of passage from the ownership of the BAR and PASTICCERIA IL DUETTO. beloved I save Rome.

05/06/2024: Upon departure he doesn't let us take away our luggage because he fears not having the parking permit back.... The nice thing is that he tells us that we can go back to get them with the car, as at that time the restricted traffic zone would not be active (around 10:00 on Sunday morning)...Today I received a fine of almost €100!!! My wife calls her to ask for explanations and she replies that she never told us to come in with the car!!! Tuscania no longer exists for me!!! The lady (not very lucid) missed an opportunity...at least to apologise.

14/04/2024: 5 stars for Suzanne and her inn. A magical place in an enchanted setting. We have just spent a weekend as Suzanne's guests in the historic center of Tuscania. The restaurant that she personally manages offers guormet and out of the ordinary dishes. All very good. The wine list is also excellent. The room was clean and welcoming, there is no hairdryer, I don't know if you can have it upon request, there is no TV which can also be a plus. The location is at the gates of the park which offers breathtaking views and lots of relaxation. Another plus point is that the place has a permit to park just outside the walls (the parking lots are all paid) so I recommend asking for it when checking in. Overall our experience was very positive and we will definitely be back!

08/03/2024: The staff is amazing and the food is great especially the pizza. I lived up the street studying abroad and it’s the perfect place to go for an occasion or nightly. Would definitely recommend.

08/08/2024: Locale a Spinaceto. Ambiente informale ma simpatico. I ragazzi si tavoli sono attenti e cortesi. Abbiamo ordinato supplì e fiori di zucca per antipasto. Il fiore era buono i supplì discreti non eccezionali. La pinsa margherita ottima. Nella rossa con bufala il pomodoro sovrastava il gusto. Nel complesso le pinse sono buone anche se non particolarmente digeribili

23/04/2024: This is an excellent restaurant, a sort of oasis in a not-really-nice building. The young people working there are very gentle, professional, and talented. Their food is good, and the atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant.

24/08/2024: We ordered 4 pizzas, 3 of which were Benevento, the tomato was sour and inedible, the small pizza had too much seasoning on it, I was really disappointed, it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten.

21/08/2024: As for location ok...: while as regards cuisine and service 0 stars waiters with zero experience and very long waiting times people who arrive last eat first... the courses arrive in chunks, to make an appetizer I'm waiting for a hour and a half, something absurd perhaps works better as a canteen

24/08/2024: Ristorante all'interno di un agriturismo a pochi minuti dal paese; location molto carina con tanto spazio esterno. Non male l'antipasto del borgo, ma migliorabile; molto buoni i primi, con abbinamenti azzeccati e ingredienti di qualità. Molto buono il tiramisù fatto in casa, e prezzi non eccessivi

Absurdly hot without air conditioning.. in fact it was there but it hasn't been used since the 60s as the rest of the place has remained! No food even in the barracks canteen during military service. It was a nightmare! I went to the bathroom...I thought I was in a truck stop but the worst of all...I rated 0 on absolutely everything.

02/07/2024: NO. Rude service, almost non-existent, they are always on the ball, thin, pale, poorly seasoned pizza. One exit even smelled rotten... They didn't say anything, they didn't apologize and they never brought another one back. The only saving grace is the starter and the very nice entertainers.

27/05/2024: Siamo andati per un compleanno ma ci siamo trattenuti a cena. 45 minuti per prendere l’ordine x poi mangiare un primo, un secondo e una focaccia e pagare 42€. La focaccia sembrava un cracker andato a male! Le cose sgranocchiate al compleanno dure e tristi e la pasta salatissima. MAI PIÙ!
