03/12/2025: I go there often, and my order always includes garlic cheese and pork shank in a bread crust. Small and cozy, with a fireplace always lit (when it's cold). In the warmer or hotter seasons, you can enjoy the outdoor pergola and the lawn, where there are several tables. As I said, I go there several times a year, and I'm happy to do so. They've raised their prices a bit recently, but the service is also less "rustic" than it was when it started out as a farmhouse restaurant, open only during certain times of the year.

02/10/2025: Sicilians on vacation in Trieste, we have some excellent ice cream shops in Sicily. Being a pastry chef as well, I was fascinated by the layout, cleanliness, and order... The ice cream, of course, was amazing. 😋😋

04/11/2025: Great place! We spent a long time looking for a place to get deep-fried seafood on a Tuesday evening. Everything was delicious! We got takeout, and they packed everything in a large paper bag (a high-quality one). For me, that's customer-focused. I highly recommend it!

The staff is kind, friendly, and attentive. The place is small, intimate, and very well-kept.
The food is fantastic, with incredibly fresh fish and delicious ingredients. Each dish is conceived and made with love, with attention to the smallest detail. If you want to eat authentic Japanese sushi, go to this wonderful place.

09/12/2025: A lovely and very welcoming place, with super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. As for the pastries, nothing too special. They'll definitely change from season to season, but the pastries are very simple, nothing special. Excellent selection of vegan pastries.
It's excessive that table service costs €0.50 per person, and if you want to order cappuccinos, etc., you pay an additional €0.30.
Otherwise, everything was fine.
17/11/2025: Lovely staff and lovely cakes! My cupcake with "zucca" was delicious and very light. The candied ginger I bought to take home is great. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just a very nice place for a little break in Trieste.

14/10/2025: A great option if you're in Trieste and craving some Chinese cuisine. A lovely atmosphere, good service, and above all, very well-prepared and delicious food. The prices are also quite good and affordable. The menu is varied with excellent options of all kinds. Absolutely recommended 🤩

13/12/2025: This place is perfect for work, the atmosphere is cozy, the music not too loud, and the coffee really good. However, there’s this one waitress that is always kind of rude, doesn’t even look at you, walks away in the middle of your sentence, says no ‘good evening’ or ‘thank you’ and generally makes me feel like I should apologize for coming in and ordering a cup of coffee. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think waiters owe us special treatment, and they get to have a bad day too, but this woman is ALWAYS like this. The masochist in me keeps coming back waiting for some proof that she’s a human being. MUG, please talk to your staff and see why they’re so unhappy.

26/11/2025: We had a really good experience here. The food was delicious, and our server was very friendly and helpful. The pastas were incredible. And the spahettti-wrapped prawn appetizer was so unique and flavorful. We split a very rich pastiera for dessert (basically a ricotta cheese pie with candied fruit) and it was the perfect ending to our meal. Highly recommended!

12/12/2025: A very typical Trieste buffet, with a typical clientele, for those who want to enjoy a bit of the rustic Trieste lifestyle. The counter features cicchetti (small appetizers) and a menu featuring typical Trieste-style dishes. For lunch, I had a lovely large plate of cooked ham, porcini mushrooms, sauerkraut, and horseradish—all delicious! Friendly staff, excellent location in the city center.
13/11/2025: Perfect, both the hot dishes offered and the canapés and the like, not to mention the good wines. Everything is always excellent, as is the fast and always very friendly service.
