12/03/2025: Pet-friendly place, very friendly staff, excellent tasty and plentiful dishes and really honest prices. The fried calamari is delicious. We also tried the goulash with gnocchi: the meat melted in your mouth, the gnocchi were good. I also like the pizzas they make: thin and crunchy, with tasty products on top. The sparkling Glera was also appreciable, with which I accompanied my calamari. We will come back for sure

16/10/2024: Ho provato per la prima volta questa gelateria e devo ammettere che sono rimasta sorprendentemente soddisfatta! Il prezzo è onesto (con 2€ è possibile avere una “pallina mista”, di 2 gusti), il gelato è risultato leggero e molto gustoso. Inoltre, la gelataia è stata cortese e il posto è ampio e tutto sommato tranquillo. Ci ritornerei!

30/09/2024: The yogurt and strawberry gelato were tasty and great, yogurt one was a bit creamy so not really on the frozen yogurt side. Was slightly disappointed with the lack of choice but it's a small shop so that was to be expected. Overall a good experience !

12/02/2025: Buffet tradizionale esistente dal 1996. Via Belpoggio è una strada in salita in fondo alle "rive" cittadine e il locale è un po' defilato, con parcheggio quasi impossibile; hanno anche un dehors, ma attaccato alle auto che transitano, per cui è decisamente meglio mangiare all'interno. Sorta di piccola osteria informale, tipica anche negli arredi. La triestinità è totale, l'affollamento è costituito da residenti (pochissime donne!) che parlano in dialetto, l'atmosfera genuina è garantita, ambiente caldo e simpatico. La vetrina dei cibi è ordinata, ricca, colorata e invitante. Si possono assaggiare specialità triestine quali il prosciutto cotto arrosto e la caldaia mista (bollito di musetto, porcina, cragno, vienna). Le tartine (2 € l'una) sono varie, carine e buone, preparate con cura (pane migliorabile) e contengono ad es. salumi, carne alla tartara, gorgonzola; lo spiedino (3 €) con tre polpettine di melanzane-formaggio non è granché; consiglio invece la golosa e saporita polpetta di carne (€ 2), ma non se odiate l'aglio! Vi sono anche paninetti a 2,50 € l'uno con salumi e frittata. I prezzi sono abbastanza giusti, ma è facile farsi prendere la mano (e la gola!) e spendere un po' più del dovuto. I vini sono quelli del territorio triestino (Carso), ma si trovano anche etichette friulane di pregio, come La Tunella. La ragazza che mi ha servito è stata accurata e gentile.

26/01/2025: I would give six stars for the quality of the food and the service, but unfortunately there is this overweight and naturally heavy man, perhaps the owner, who never leaves there. He always talks loudly and about frivolous, uninteresting, unfunny things... I don't know who is really interested in listening to him, but I doubt the whole place. It's a shame because it ruins the atmosphere which, thanks to the two behind the counter, is always wonderful. If you can not let this character get on your nerves, it's a place worth visiting with a top food and drink offering!

08/03/2025: It is a pastry shop famous above all for its "carsoline". Almost all products are very good or delicious. Fair value for money. The service is professional and fast, but not all staff are friendly. I totally advise against coming here on Sundays because it is almost always full of customers and there is no parking nearby.

10/12/2024: Ottima esperienza a cena. Locale molto accogliente pulito caldo, mise en place ordinata sobria anche elegante. Bella accoglienza da parte del personale . Monika ( ci abbiamo parlato un po') in cucina propone un menu ampio ispirato alla tradizione e comunque alla cucina classica di questa zona di confine. Scelta degli ingredienti del territorio molto accurata e assolutamente improntata alla genuinità ed alla qualità. Attenzione anche sulla stagionalità. Scegliamo tagliatelle al tartufo come primo e stinco di maiale cotto nel pane come secondo , contorno di "kifeleti"cioè pasta da gnocchi a forma di u fritta, putiza come dolce. Porzione di tagliatelle generosa solo tartufo vero niente furberie tipo creme tartufate, ottima la salsa di condimento (credo parmigiano tuorlo d'uovo crema di latte) che esalta le generose fettine di tartufo nero ,tagliatella perfettamente al dente e di qualità. Non si trova facilmente in giro una pasta al tartufo così corretta nella sua essenzialità.Stinco di maiale spettacolare, morbida la polpa all' interno umida e saporita,crosta di pane e cotica che lo avvolgono da sgranocchiare con calma per chi ama farlo con la salsa fondo (questa forse l'avrei vista appena brunita un po' di più) presentata opportunamente a parte e ottima anche per intingere i Kifeleti fritti impeccabilmente. Dolce: putiza. Come un dolce della nonna, della tradizione, ripieno soave, impasto attorno profumato. Ho scelto una grappetta ma avrebbe sicuramente accompagnato bene anche un vino da meditazione. Grappe della tradizione solveno carsolina: "Mediza" grappa di miele ( il proprietario è apicultore di qualità) , Brinjievec ossia distillato di ginepro non se ne trova in giro così buono. Prezzo assolutamente onesto , contenuto, abbiamo ricevuto sorrisi abbiamo mangiato bene siamo usciti contenti e sazi con il sorriso. Bravi! Se questo è il livello per me è un riferimento sul territorio.

05/10/2024: place is definitely inviting, but the cremino was totally disappointing. i asked cremino and the seller, which definitely has a nice smile, served me a nocciola. i of course said "but thats not cremino", she got a bottle of topping brown color and made couple of lines on top of nocciola. speachless. if i could, i d give minus 5. a real artesanal cremino icecream is a good mix of nocciola and cioccolato gianduia.

26/02/2025: Cozy place and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I tasted a very good filter coffee and by asking for details on the blend the girl was able to give me specifics on my coffee and other blends present, I will be back to try some desserts as soon as I pass through Trieste again

22/02/2025: Caffè Mug is a charming spot in Trieste with a cozy atmosphere and a great selection of coffee and pastries especially cupcakes. The latte macchiato was smooth and well-balanced, and the cappuccino mug with cinnamon and cacao on top was a delightful treat. We had cheesecake with apricot and brownie which were both delicious. The staff was friendly, and the interior is stylish and inviting, making it a nice place to relax or get some work done. Prices are also reasonable for the quality you get.

18/03/2025: Quality products nothing to say. The only flaw is the service and the cleanliness of the tables outside, you can do better to facilitate customers without leaving the tables dirty with bird droppings or leaving empty cups and glasses on the tables especially on weekends.

07/03/2025: Unfortunately I find myself there every Friday with my baseball friends, there are a dozen of us and we have to bring our own orders but we are not bad waiters.

16/02/2025: Great idea for a meal on the go! Wide choice of tasty piadinas, quick and technological service. Good location in the middle of the avenue, close to the main attractions. It is also possible to have an aperitif as they have a bar inside.
