18/09/2025: love from Tokyo this is note to self; visited around 3pm on Wednesday ,17 Sep, 2025. with 2 sons(6 and 5yrs old) Really surprising their style. Everything we ordered was lovely taste - they use local fine ingredients and good at taking full advantages of original flavor of each ingredients. thanks to well balanced amount of oil, it's not as heavy for the stomach as other Napolitan restaurant's food.(they're good though) and I truely re-learned how flavor of tomato(piennolo?) is beautiful. MUST GO PLACE after enjoying view from castel Sant' Elmo. Many thanks for the kindness and being a part of precious memory of our journey in Napori! Lots of love to all staffs in Locantina!!!

The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming, making it feel like you're dining at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend the perfect dish. Excellent value: a place worth discovering and returning to! Pictured: risotto with cabbage, chili pepper, and parmesan. Recommended!

13/10/2025: I'm giving it 5 stars because that's the best I can give, otherwise they would deserve many more. The sfogliatella accompanied by coffee cream was amazing. But the real difference, compared to other places, was the staff: our table was served by Gennaro, extremely kind, friendly, precise, and professional. He always served us with a smile, making our snack a truly enjoyable experience. Like him, Annamaria and Giuliano also showed kindness and professionalism, revealing the care and precision they put into their work. Highly recommended.

Ps: per chi si lamenta della gran folla di persone su via Tribunali, mi sento di dire a tutti che il centro storico di Napoli è così signori, gran quantità di persone che si divertono e mangiano bene e grande atmosfera di festa sempre 🙂

03/10/2025: If you are staying at Napoli City Center Apts and receive a breakfast ticket to this place, be very specific with your order. Most people do not speak English, so use your phone to translate. 2 out of our 3 mornings they gave us food without our coffee. To their credit I did order the croissants first, so maybe I needed to order the coffee first. We did enjoy the pistachio and chocolate croissants. They were very delicious. On the last morning when we finally got our cappuccinos they were also very good. This place moves very quickly and gets busy. If you're a tourist you have to be on point before you get there. Please remember, Italians speak Italian. They are not obligated to speak English. Treat people respectfully and you will be treated kindly as well. Everyone who helped us was nice.

27/06/2025: Ci ha accolti la gentilezza e professionalità di Raffaele, accomodati all'interno di una sala che sembra raccontare ai clienti il carattere di Napoli. Consigliati sapientemente abbiamo scelto una frittura alici, calamari e gamberi accompagnati da una delicata maionese al lime che ci ha stupiti. A seguire la pizza che era da provare doverosamente...e che vi dico? Una poesia! Consigliatissimo anche per il rapporto qualità eccezionale/prezzo. 12/10/2025: I came today around 11pm with my partner (being Saturday it closes at 2am) I found myself on a hill full of potholes and I found the place closed, without any notice on social media or outside, nor a light or anything, I followed the instructions of the navigator, I drove 28 minutes for nothing, I tried to call but it said that the number was not available, the messages on WhatsApp only loaded a bar, bitterly disappointed

14/09/2025: Kids lined up, jumping over people, and security doesn't say anything. The road is at the limit of traffic (full of rocks that could also damage cars). I was there for the musicology evening.

22/08/2025: I ordered an aperitif for two and forgot to mention that I can't tolerate onions. When the aperitifs arrived, I asked if they could be substituted with ones without onions, and they were immediately available. Excellent quality and products. Extensive menu with a wide selection. Excellent courtesy and service. Perfectly clean. Definitely excellent prices. Perfect atmosphere.

05/07/2025: A gift from the boss, Zucchini flower with fish and mayonnaise, perfect. Delicious. Aromatic. Antipasti, grilled squid, delicious. Crispy and delicate. Tuna steak, delicious. However, the salad was charged separately at 4.50e. Spaghetti with shrimp tartare, the best. Delicate. Noticeable orange peel. Delicious wine. Great service. The boss personally comes, talks and creates an atmosphere. A revelation. I recommend it. ❤️

15/10/2025: I've never written a negative review in my life, but the fact that no one in this place is clear that catering also means hospitality deserved an exception.

05/09/2025: The other night, I went to this place for a drink and to celebrate my birthday with some friends and my parents (there were about 10 of us). Unfortunately, the welcome wasn't the best. Even though there were several free tables (it was 8:30 PM), the owner told me they were all booked, and I, along with the other diners, were invited to sit at the high tables with stools, or else we'd have to leave since there were no other options. I tried in vain to explain to the very friendly owner that my father has a serious health problem and that we'd settle for just a low table for two, at least for him and his partner, so that we could guarantee him, given his condition, a seat with a backrest, but there was no availability; once again, "all the tables were reserved." After a long wait, the owner finally came to our second-rate table, with an attitude that was honestly, in my opinion, unnecessarily hostile. We ordered a bottle of wine (there were only four of us, waiting for everyone else) and an appetizer. As my friends arrived, even the mere request for a stool or simply more glasses and plates was annoying and was repeatedly ignored, so much so that in the end I took the stool myself. We ordered, in addition to more bottles of wine, some appetizers for the main course. We received plates and silverware only after asking for them. Furthermore, when I asked for yet another glass for the last person to arrive, the waiter said, "I'll check if they're available" (the place was half empty). Needless to say, the tables next to ours (all, he claimed, hopelessly booked) remained empty the entire evening, and I repeat, not a single person was seated, not even by mistake, from 8:30 PM until 12:30 AM. I understand that there may be rules, I understand everything, but in this case, a little more flexibility and attention would have made a difference. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, the tables on the other side were all half-empty, too; the excellent owner didn't even bother to come to the cashier to ask how the evening had gone. A terrible impression, with no professionalism or manners, and my birthday was ruined.

We evaluated this venue among many elite options, chose it, and we were not wrong: excellent cuisine, exceptional fried fish, and a refined and elegant atmosphere. 06/08/2025: The food (the chicken) was undercooked. The bruschetta was dripping in oil, the ravioli was swimming in sauce, the fries were very salty but tasty, and the steak (4 pieces) was swimming in sauce and was rare instead of medium. In short, not recommended.
