25/04/2026: Table booked at 9.15pm. We entered the restaurant at 10pm because there was no table available. After ordering around 10.15pm, we had to wait over 50 minutes... I don't recommend it because after this wait, both your appetite and your desire to go and eat pizza go away.

31/03/2026: We went for lunch a few days after reopening after the winter break. Only one other table in the dining room was occupied by a couple. Punctual service, an updated wine list, quality ingredients (top-notch peppers and French fries), and sincere cuisine, not grandmother-style but country aunt-style, although the truly remarkable ingredients probably deserve more care and attention in their preparation. In short, high expectations weren't fully met, but the rating was more than met. A well-kept and very characteristic location. The price was fair.

07/01/2026: Family-run trattoria. Everything was excellent. Even the rosé wine. The appetizers and first courses were excellent: trofie with chickpeas and fennel, frizzuli with chickpeas and sausage, and the second course was excellent.

09/06/2026: Skip this place We had a really poor experience here. Almost every dish we ordered was inedible. The plate of pasta was swimming in oil, while the gnocchi and grilled vegetables were completely dry and choked down. To make matters worse, the meat was of very poor quality. The only saving grace of the entire meal was the mixed platter, which was actually good. Save your money and go elsewhere.

24/08/2025: Our experience at this pizzeria was negative. The owner is quite rude and disorganized. After waiting two hours, we decided to leave without eating the pizzas we'd ordered at 8:50 PM. Furthermore, and last but not least, a plate with four slices of spianata, four slices of bresaola, and three slices of prosciutto cost us €18. I recommend Mrs. Teresa take a course in good manners.

22/03/2026: I've been to Creperia Il Tulipano and had a really good time. The place is small but cozy, making you feel immediately at ease. The staff is friendly and quick, always available. The crêpes are their strong point: light dough, well-filled, and made with quality ingredients. They have a wide variety, both sweet and savory, so you'll always find something you like. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. I recommend it for a quiet evening or for a sweet treat after dinner. I'll definitely be back.

27/04/2026: If you want to be poisoned, you can visit this place. My husband, children, and I will never return. First of all, the staff doesn't understand English, which is quite strange for a 21st-century resort. The interior is quite interesting, but the wine collection with dictator portraits caught my eye – this is unacceptable these days. There's a massive understaffing – the same people who serve you prepare food in the kitchen, without professional kitchen attire. Furthermore, instead of using the restroom, my husband accidentally peeked into the kitchen – it was very dirty and smelled foul. We ordered toast and found moldy cheese in it. And most importantly, and most surprising – they don't know how to make coffee in Italy, especially cappuccino: it's just foam, no creamy consistency. The place is located right in the city center, in a fairly good location, but the lack of hygiene doesn't compensate. There are also plenty of tables – if someone else is sitting next to you, you feel like you're part of their group. So if you want to get food poisoning and ruin your Italian experience, this is the place. We came here for vacation and it was recommended, but it turned out to be a place to avoid.

22/04/2026: On the main street, a stylish place with outdoor seating. Excellent coffee at the counter, a friendly welcome. Next time I'm in Scalea, I'll try the gelato; they say it's excellent.

14/06/2026: The (unjustified) above-average prices don't justify the terrible service, and it's not the first time. The waitress never showed up; we went to ask at the counter. They never showed up. Our only order, a juice for the little girl, never arrived. However, tourists and acquaintances were served immediately, even though they arrived after us. Yet another confirmation.

04/07/2026: We had a Margherita pizza, split, beautifully made and delicious. Followed by tender and well-cooked lamb chops. The service was excellent. The owners were courteous. Thank you.

12/07/2026: Expectations were quite high, especially given what I'd seen and talked about on social media, but unfortunately, my experience largely fell short. The first problem was the wait times, which were truly excessive. It felt like a place with too many seats to manage compared to the resources available, especially in the kitchen, with inevitable repercussions on the service. The pizza, unfortunately, wasn't pleasant either, and gave me a general sense of lack of care in the preparation and balance of the ingredients. I ordered tuna and onion, but the amount of onion was so abundant that it almost seemed like an "onion pizza" rather than a pizza with onion. The mozzarella was also excessive, making the pizza very watery. Furthermore, in one piece I even found gorgonzola, an ingredient that wasn't part of the pizza I ordered and seemed to have ended up there by accident. Finally, the dough seemed slightly too salty. Of course, this is my personal experience over the weekend, but I think it might be a good idea to reduce the number of seats and focus more on quality service and attention to detail. It's better to manage a few fewer tables, but still offer customers an experience that lives up to their expectations. I'll definitely be back to try Giuseppe's products again.

12/07/2026: Lots of anticipation. The bruschetta was excellent. The pizza was rubbery and a bit heavy. I had high hopes, and unfortunately, they were disappointed. I hope it was just a bad night!
