23/02/2026: We ordered a pizza (4 formaggio) and a carbonara pasta also a starter (8 different toasts. We were first served the pizza then after about 5 minutes after that the starter and then after another 5-10mins the carbonara. The pizza was fine but the carbonara wasn't too good. It was rather a scrambled egg with pasta and cooked sliced bacon. Not how it should be cooked I believe.

04/01/2026: Let me start by saying: thank you. Very welcoming and trustworthy, both inside and outside, surrounded by citrus and olive trees. The owner and her daughter made us feel at ease, and we enjoyed a meal of authentic, typical dishes from the Greek Calabrian tradition. We'll definitely be back. Well done, and thank you again for the wonderful day you gave us.

30/11/2025: Today we had a wonderful experience at this agriturismo. We enjoyed delicious food prepared with passion and skill. The cuisine is traditional, and all the dishes, from the many appetizers to the first and second courses, and finally the dessert, were freshly prepared with respect for tradition. Highly recommended. Kudos also to the owners for their kindness.

16/11/2025: It's been a while since I've been to Caccuri, but I was delighted to discover the Pitaro brothers, now renovated but still warm and friendly. The homely hospitality puts you at ease, and then there's plenty of hot chocolate, the smell of excellent Roman pinza that makes me feel at home, sweets and coffee—the more the merrier, the better. I recommend stopping by for a quick drink.

20/09/2025: I frequent this place regularly; the owners are incredibly kind and helpful, as well as highly professional. All their products are top-quality, from the desserts and gelato to the pizza and delicious pinsa. Definitely worth a try for those who have never been there before.

15/12/2025: Excellent bar and wine shop on the Scalea promenade. Tables under umbrellas with comfortable chairs and super friendly service. Excellent white wines by the glass 😋 The appetizers are excellent with an aperitif or wine. The salsa pairs perfectly with tacos; it seems so fresh you'd think it was homemade. Saturday: crepes with anchovies. Indoor seating for groups and celebrations. Ice creams for a fresh and tasty breakfast. Stop by, you won't regret it.

13/01/2026: Excellent food and good service. Fast service and a wide selection of dishes. The owner was very kind and helpful. He gave us a loaf of their bread, baked that morning. Everything was delicious.

31/03/2026: We went for lunch a few days after reopening after the winter break. Only one other table in the dining room was occupied by a couple. Punctual service, an updated wine list, quality ingredients (top-notch peppers and French fries), and sincere cuisine, not grandmother-style but country aunt-style, although the truly remarkable ingredients probably deserve more care and attention in their preparation. In short, high expectations weren't fully met, but the rating was more than met. A well-kept and very characteristic location. The price was fair.

07/01/2026: Family-run trattoria. Everything was excellent. Even the rosé wine. The appetizers and first courses were excellent: trofie with chickpeas and fennel, frizzuli with chickpeas and sausage, and the second course was excellent.

01/01/2026: We were here for the New Year's Eve party in 2026. The location is okay, and the entertainment was also okay. However, the food, drinks, and service leave much to be desired. The food was, frankly, a disaster: - The meat menu should have been on par with the fish menu. I think the pictures speak volumes: the appetizer was a great fish platter with a wide selection, but the alternative was a bit of ham and a small mozzarella. - Some of the other courses were ice-cold and disappointing in terms of taste; many of our plates were returned almost untouched. - The main course was an absolute joke (see picture). I've had better meals in German company and university cafeterias. Completely uninspired. - I think we got the worst waiter. He simply threw the plates on the table. He hit me in the head with a pill, which can happen, but that's no excuse. - The only non-alcoholic drinks available were water and cola. They could offer a decent alternative, especially for pregnant women who pay the same price. In summary, €120 per person is outrageous!

08/04/2026: We stopped in Scilla almost exclusively to return to this restaurant, where we'd been last year and had a wonderful meal. We began with the unmissable 15-sampling tasting menu: incredibly fresh fish with a unique flavor, meticulously presented and explained. The first courses, prepared with unusual combinations, were also excellent. The deconstructed cannoli was exquisite. We were greeted with great warmth and friendliness by the owners. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

10/12/2025: A very charming place with attention to detail. The owner, Mr. Vincenzo, and his wife are highly knowledgeable and made us feel at home, part of the family, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Dinner for 20 people was arranged with the owner, who was able to recommend the best options while respecting our requests. The dinner featured high-quality, fresh seafood, expertly prepared and presented. Everything was truly excellent.

07/01/2026: Il Melograno farmhouse restaurant and pizzeria: a traditional and welcoming place where you can rediscover the true flavors of home. 🍝❤️ High-quality products and authentic dishes like peppers and potatoes, rice and meat chops, parmigiana, and homemade pasta with authentic flavors. The pizza is also excellent, with a light dough and perfect cooking in a wood-fired oven. A true culinary experience, absolutely worth repeating. Ottaviano and Mrs. Graziella are wonderful people who welcome you not as customers but as family. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

02/04/2026: The first two times we ate well, but on Sunday the 29th, the appetizer was disappointing. While plentiful, it wasn't as good as the other times. The first course (Palm Sunday) was pasta and beans, mostly broth. The second course was good, but nothing exceptional. I definitely won't be returning. Oh, and the dessert was good.

18/12/2025: Every dish is exquisite. Fast service. Nestled in the countryside. Peace and quiet, surrounded by natural beauty. Highly recommended for a group lunch!

28/12/2025: AN AUTHENTIC DISCOVERY: a must-visit for beer and food lovers! We recently visited Ristorante l’Istrione in Stilo with a group of friends, and I can say it was a real pleasure. The owner's professionalism and expertise were immediately evident, but what really impressed us was his skill in craft beer production! Francesco, the master brewer, recommended high-quality beers to pair with our dishes, from red beers for meat to fresh white beers for fish. His knowledge of beer and cuisine was truly impressive! The cuisine was simply exceptional! We ordered both fish and meat dishes and were thoroughly satisfied. The appetizers were delicious and varied, the first courses were plentiful, and the second courses were cooked to perfection, as we requested. The restaurant is small but cozy, with a warm and inviting atmosphere thanks to the stone walls and rustic furnishings. We felt right at home and enjoyed a quiet, relaxing evening. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended. See you soon!

26/12/2025: Delicious and super friendly! We spent an afternoon in Stilo with our camper and ate pizza here with our two-year-old son!

22/02/2026: The guys saved our evening. Everything was closed, on the night Intercity train to Rome. They came to deliver 15 pizzas to the station in Vibo Marina, right on the platform, even waiting for the train, which was delayed past midnight. I'd say calling it top-notch service is an understatement. Add to that the friendliness of the young people I spoke to on the phone, and the result was a spectacular post-match evening in Calabria on the train. Thanks again 💪🍕❤️
