24/12/2024: Sono stato invitato in questa tenuta per il pranzo del matrimonio di alcuni parenti. Ho mangiato divinamente. Ottimi gli antipasti crudi, serviti in grande quantità. Ottimo anche il riso in polvere di clorofilla e i tortelli ai gamberi in spuma di porcini. Grande vastità di dolci e vino e drinks di buona fattura. Staff cordiale e preparato. Siamo stati coccolati. Consigliato!

19/01/2025: After a few attempts I managed to book for a lunch with friends. Beautiful location, rustic but welcoming. Good service, friendly staff and owners who are a pleasure to chat with. They offer a fixed menu with seasonal products, and I must say that at the end of the long lunch we all woke up satisfied with the quality and quantity. Don't miss the baked potatoes with onion and cream cheese, and the Aspromontana beans. The first ones are excellent. In general above what is expected from a typical restaurant. Adequate price. I will definitely go back.

04/10/2024: arriving in Gerace, we ask two gentlemen for a place where we can eat homemade ice cream, and we are immediately recommended the "sweet and savory bar" where they say it is the best ice cream in Gerace, we arrive at the bar and the very nice owner lets us taste it salted pistachio and saffron, FABULOUS ice cream, I think it is one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted, very honest price for two cones 5 euros, for the very high quality of the ice cream it is truly a very honest price, I highly recommend this place.

04/10/2024: arrivando a gerace, chiediamo a due signori un luogo dove poter mangiare un gelato artigianale, e subito ci viene consigliato il “bar dolce e salato” dove dicono che sia il miglior gelato di gerace, arriviamo al bar e il titolare molto simpatico ci fa assaggiare pistacchio salato e zafferano, gelato FAVOLOSO, penso sia uno dei migliori gelati che io abbia mai assaggiato, prezzo molto onesto due coni 5 euro, per l’altissima qualita del gelato è veramente un prezzo molto onesto, vi consiglio vivamente questo posto.

30/11/2024: Hübsches, authentisches Lokal - sehr zuvorkommender Service und gutes Essen. Wir hatten leider keinen grossen Hunger und assen nur ein Primo. Das war von sehr guter Qualität, wir würden wieder dort essen gehen.

09/02/2025: A pleasant surprise in the heart of Sila!!! Late morning walk on the Silano plateau and stop for lunch at I Ventura. The place was chosen almost as a bet, attracted by the menu displayed on the street, but the feeling was already good. And indeed, it was a very pleasant surprise! As soon as you enter, you immediately perceive the professionalism of the staff: kind, prepared and well informed about the ingredients and composition of the dishes (which is not so obvious in the area). We ordered two first courses: scialatielli alla pecoraia and tagliatelle with duck. Simply fantastic! Strictly homemade pasta, generous portions and excellent flavours. The quality can be felt throughout, and in fact... obligatory shoe! 😅 Unfortunately, no starters or main courses, but only due to a question of "space" (and not of will!). Final bill: €34.50 for two first courses, a water and two coffees. It may seem slightly high, but given the quantity and above all the quality, absolutely justified. Only note: the location could be improved, but nothing that would affect the dining experience. I will definitely be back!

08/02/2025: Beautiful evening! Typical location with attention to detail. Typical Calabrian and Sila quality food. Outstanding Picanha meat! Value for money in the norm. The waiters were all kind and helpful, especially "Beautiful hair"! Super recommended, we will definitely be back!

06/01/2025: Driven by the excellent reviews, I chose to dine in this place on my first evening in Sila. We ordered potatoes and grilled cheese. We were served potatoes that had been reheated I don't know how many times and yet still cold from the fridge and 1 slice of cold caciocavallo slapped on the plate. I had respect for the work of the gentlemen employed in this place and I gave it a second chance by asking for at least hot potatoes and for the cheese to be grilled. The dish was returned to me with the same potatoes as before but now the cheese was grilled... but it was sour. The so-called "professor" wanted me to believe that the all-milk cacio silano has this flavor... which is completely false given that I know it very well, I have eaten it in other places and above all I know how to distinguish the rancid taste. With extreme politeness we got up and asked for the bill which was also presented to us quite salty. We paid and learned where to never go again.

15/12/2024: Today I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Taverna del Gioachimita and I can say that I was pleasantly impressed by the experience. The dishes offered are delicious and traditional at the same time, very delicate on the palate and of great quality. The service is very attentive to customers, the owner is friendly and kind, and the atmosphere is joyful, attentive and professional. The internal location is well cared for, with attention to detail. I think it's a nice place to spend some peaceful hours, enjoying good food. I can therefore only recommend it. I will gladly return.
