09/10/2025: A beautiful restaurant with an ancient Aosta Valley theme. Impeccable service, and a lovely idea to offer their own spiced wine (killer) with a welcome plate. The menu is very extensive, especially the wine selection. I wanted to try the Favô, a very good and unique dish, while my companion had the Agnolotti, also very good. To round things off, we had a tasting of 18 cheeses accompanied by three sauces, plus polenta, salad, and potatoes. The potatoes were a bit of a letdown because they were just whole boiled potatoes. But what can I say? An experience worth having. To finish, a panna cotta with raspberries and chocolate, very good but overpriced. I'm giving it 4 stars only because the wine and desserts are a bit overpriced. If you're passing through Cogne, I recommend stopping by. P.S. It offers a great view.

07/10/2025: Exceptional dinner. Attentive and fast service. Professional and courteous. We had dinner this evening, starting with caponata and carpaccio. Followed by a hearty raclette. We finished with gelato and a delicious zabaglione, freshly whipped in a copper pot. An experience that left us happy and truly full! Highly recommended for anyone looking to sample delicious dishes in a mountainous yet elegant setting.

26/09/2025: A very beautiful, welcoming location with attention to detail, including the background music. We ordered a platter of typical Aosta Valley products and, of course, polenta. Excellent dishes! The staff is attentive, courteous, and professional. Good value for money. I recommend it.

12/10/2025: Review: After visiting Cogne, we ate at this restaurant with its warm, mountain-style atmosphere. For starters, we had a cheese, potato, and pomegranate dish—original and delicious. Then, we had a very good Italian risotto. All for €151 for four people, including wine, beer, and water. The place and the server were impeccable. It's a shame the copertos are charged (€12, or €3 per person).

05/10/2025: The food is good, no complaints there. But a platter for two with a dozen slices of cured meat, four (in number) pieces of cheese, two soups and two plates of pasta with sauce for the kids, half a glass of wine (€18)... total €100. I got up still a little hungry. This isn't a restaurant, which is supposed to cater; it's a rip-off. Goodbye.

29/09/2025: I visited this little place in late August, and I have to say it was delicious! I had polenta concia with butter and fontina cheese: a typical Aosta Valley dish only for those with strong stomachs and true connoisseurs! They bring bread and breadsticks so you can dip it in and enjoy. You absolutely must try the "Crema di Cogne," a sort of chocolate pudding, creamier than usual, served with homemade biscuits. What can I say? Attentive and friendly service, excellent value for money... I'll be back!

13/10/2025: I was truly impressed by the restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The restaurant's strong point is undoubtedly the cuisine. Here, you'll have the opportunity to taste traditional and non-traditional dishes, including reinterpretations with locally sourced ingredients. I tried the venison steak and it was an explosion of flavors. A dessert, the classic "crema di Cogne" with tegole, was the perfect finishing touch to a delicious dinner. The wine cellar offers a wide selection for all palates. I highly recommend this restaurant to all lovers of good food!

11/08/2025: Extremely disappointing stay and worrying lack of security and respect I stayed at this hotel hoping to have a pleasant stay, but the experience turned into a nightmare. During my absence, I had the very unpleasant surprise of discovering that my luggage had been searched. The arrangement of my belongings had clearly been altered, and some personal belongings had been moved. This type of situation is deeply shocking and unacceptable, especially in a hotel that is supposed to offer comfort and security to its guests. When I reported the problem to the reception desk, the staff's reaction was more than disappointing. No clear explanation was given, and management didn't seem to take the situation seriously. Instead of trying to understand or reassure me, I felt as if my words were being minimized, or even doubted. This lack of professionalism is unworthy of a hotel that claims to welcome its guests in good conditions. A hotel isn't just a place to sleep; it's also a place where you should be able to leave your belongings in peace. Here, trust was completely broken. I felt unsafe for the rest of my stay, forced to guard my personal belongings and fearing for their safety. This ruined my trip and prevented me from enjoying my time there. In summary, I strongly advise against this establishment to anyone who values privacy, the security of their belongings, and a minimum of consideration from the staff. There are many other hotels that, for the same price or less, will treat their guests with honesty, professionalism, and respect. For my part, this is the last time I'll set foot here.

29/09/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at the Valnontey restaurant in Cogne, and we can say without hesitation that it was an excellent experience. 🍽️ The menu features traditional dishes from the Aosta Valley, carefully prepared. In addition to a delicious appetizer of tomini, cured meats, and local cheeses, we sampled the creamy and enveloping fondue, the rustic and flavorful soça, and the famous Cogne crema con le tegole, a traditional dessert that ended the dinner on a perfect note. 🍷 The selection of Aosta Valley wines is extensive and well-cured. The Gamay we chose was a pleasant discovery: it paired perfectly with the dishes. 🎯 Attentive, courteous, and professional service made the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money. Our only small flaw: the room was a little cold.

15/09/2025: My stay at Hotel La Barme was very pleasant. Located in the beautiful hamlet of Valnontey, it is the result of a careful renovation of an old building, preserving its charm. The owners gave me a very warm welcome; with kindness and helpfulness, and most importantly, a smile, they make you feel immediately at ease. The rooms are beautiful, with plenty of wood for a warm and welcoming feel, spacious bathrooms, and impeccable cleanliness. The Ecolabel certification is very important and appreciated, making us feel more respectful of the surrounding nature. Half-board is available, with a dinner full of choices—something you shouldn't expect—featuring excellent-quality, locally sourced products and spectacular presentation. Breakfast is plentiful and full of homemade products, such as cakes, biscuits, jams, yogurt, savory dishes, fresh fruit, and coffee served at your table. The dining room staff deserves special mention, both at dinner and at breakfast, for their courtesy and helpfulness. Parking is available in the large garage. Excellent value for money. I definitely recommend it and hope to return soon to repeat this more than positive experience.

06/08/2025: Ciao a tutti Oggi dopo aver visitato Cogne ci siamo spostati in frazione Lillaz e ci siamo fermato per un break al bar ANAIS oltre alla cortesia ed alla gentilezza della signora Adriana abbiamo mangiato dei panini veramente ma non scherzo veramente eccezionali!!!!! 14/07/2025: Ho provato diversi panini gourmet del Bar Anais: tutti buoni, con ingredienti freschi e accostamenti di sapore molto ben riusciti. I panini gourmet sono caldi, con pane integrale croccante, ben farciti. Vale la pena assaggiarli. Li abbiamo accompagnati con un Radler (birra e limonata) fresco e dissetante. L’ambiente è piacevole, con tavoli all’aperto e all’interno, nel centro di Lillaz, frazione facilmente raggiungibile da Cogne con navetta gratuita. Servizio gentile e cordiale, grazie alla nuova gestione.
