27/07/2025: We chose this hotel for its location and cuisine. What more can we say? It's all been confirmed: a wonderful view of the Pian Grande (lentil fields and pristine mountains) and simple cuisine that showcases local produce.
It's located on a wonderful road for us motorcyclists.
The guys who run the hotel are passionate about it. Zoe is the real queen!

06/07/2025: The welcome and service were very good despite the influx of passers-by being truly continuous, without respite.
06/07/2025: We booked this restaurant the day before leaving to see the Castelluccio flowering, it was full but they kindly managed to make us a place for two. Enchanting place and amazing food! Appetizer, tagliatelle with wild boar ragù and above all the gnocchi alla Norcina recommended by Mauro with real truffle we will remember them for a long time! Fast service and friendly staff. Special credit to Mauro's wife who expertly manages everything! Price for the quality of the food excellent! The flowering was not at its best but Castelluccio and its people are a little gem to see all year round!

26/06/2025: Right in the center where you can stay away from the confusion. Young waiters but prepared to explain what is on the menu, which changes according to the seasons.
The very kind owner has a word for all her customers and the food, absolutely local, has the flavors that you find in a healthy cuisine made with love, which is no small thing

21/08/2025: We definitely WON'T be back! We had lunch here based on the reviews, but we had a terrible experience, starting with our requests at the time of ordering, which weren't met either due to the presence of items the waiter had indicated were missing, or the timing of delivery. We'd asked for a dish more urgently so our child could eat, but it was brought to us at the end of the meal. We also ate lentil soup in which the lentils were almost raw. Finally, the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom was jammed.
20/08/2025: We ate the best fried pizzas in the world!!! I'll remember them for the rest of my life. The pizza was also good. I tried the turkey and that was good too. What can I say? You can't go wrong, the prices are also great! Thanks!

Thank you Monica and Mariano, you pampered us, filling us with spectacular local food, all fresh and authentic, with super generous portions, so much so that we almost couldn't get up from the table. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
06/07/2025: Pizzeria, restaurant, grill. Good meats and cheeses. Good arrosticini. Neat and clean environment. Too bad it faces the road and is a bit noisy. Prices in line. (8 arrosticini 11€, salad 5€, appetizer of meats and cheeses 9.5€)

27/07/2025: After docking in Otranto with our yacht, we dined at Al Tartufo Restaurant. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and the staff was extremely professional. The dishes, many of which were enhanced with truffles, were a surprising discovery: balanced flavors and impeccable presentation. A restaurant worth a visit if you want to experience Otranto with a touch of exclusivity.

01/08/2025: The food was not the best to put it nicely, they had enough vegetarian options. But i would not take someone there who is a some what picky eater. The service was good, the server did not speak alot of english but everything went smoothly. We think the place was better before the earthquakes and that they might have lost money due to a lack of tourist

03/08/2025: Pranzo spettacolare con vista. Cibo di qualità eccellente, dopo ogni portata eravamo esterrefatti dalla bontà e dal sapore delle pietanze che ci sono state servite. Il ragazzo che ci ha serviti disponibile, cordiale e attento. Da provare assolutamente.
12/07/2025: Se la prima volta è stata una sorpresa tornarci è stato piacevolissimo... calda accoglienza.. in un ambiente caldo... buon cibo e abbondante ..

30/03/2025: Siamo ritornati dopo diverso tempo e abbiamo trovato le stesse ottime cose, accoglienza, qualità delle pietanze, cura, pulizia, attenzione.
Gnocchi e Pappardelle alla Castellucciana, Sacrpetta e Formaggi al forno, Dolci di ricotta e caffè....superlativi, buon vino buona genziana e buon conto.

16/02/2025: Abbiamo mangiato in questo locale per tre volte tra fine gennaio e febbraio prima di scrivere questa recensione. Questo per poter essere certi che la bellissima impressione avuta inizialmente, fosse poi confermata nel tempo.
La cucina è veramente Castellucciana, le pietanze sono preparate con prodotti locali e naturali (che si possono anche acquistare nel locale).
Sia i primi piatti che i dolci preparati con la ricotta sono veramente speciali.
Si mangia con vista sul Monte Vettore e su Pian Grande (impagabile).
Elemento molto importante, da non trascurare nella scelta dei locali dove si va per rilassarsi e godersi qualche emozione, è la gentilezza e la simpatia dei due titolari sia durante il pasto ma anche in fase di prenotazione del tavolo.
Credo sia una tappa imperdibile in un giro da quelle parti.
È consigliato prenotare perché il locale non è molto grande (anche se credo che con la primavera metteranno anche dei tavoli all'esterno).
C'è anche un'area di parcheggio al di sotto del ristorante stesso.
