26/07/2025: Like every year, we were at the Patriarch with friends yesterday and let the fantastic culinary delights of your establishment melt in our mouths. It's a real treat to enter your beautiful, tastefully decorated establishment. When the staff, like me at your place, greet you with a friendly "Grüss Gott" paired with an unmistakable smile, you notice that people matter most here, both as employees and guests. This truly pleasant, friendly atmosphere extends into the kitchen as well. In the restaurant industry, it's often particularly difficult to remain pleasant, because the times we live in seem to bring more and more dissatisfied people to light. Therefore, we would like to restore balance and thank you for the lovely evening. Life is beautiful; yesterday was the best proof of that. 09/08/2025: What's that? We waited 45 minutes for the salad! Did the leaves still have to be picked? Value for money? There are far better restaurants in Tirolo. The interior is like a train station bar. We won't be back. Not recommended. The website promises more than it can deliver.

13/07/2025: Cozy wine bar in the center of Tirolo. They offer a variety of wines and cocktails. You'll receive a warm welcome and good, friendly service. Everyone is very nice.

06/09/2025: Very cozy, upscale decor. The food was very good, except for one minor issue (shards of glass in the food), but that can happen to anyone. The food was, of course, replaced immediately. Nevertheless, the food was very good, and the staff very, very friendly.

03/08/2025: The ascent between Merano and Tyrol is a walk with a slight incline. It's ideal for a refreshment stop halfway through and a beautiful view of the Merano region.

31/08/2025: Great hut. Highly recommended even if you're not hiking, as it's easily accessible by gondola. Beautiful views over the Adige Valley. Very friendly staff, good food (dinner and breakfast), and gluten-free options. Nice rooms too.

21/08/2025: A must stop while in the area. Take the gondola up and enjoy some hiking then a cold beverage with a beautiful view. Staff is friendly and attentive.

21/08/2025: We've been to the Wenzl-Hof three times now. It's a rustic Törggele wine tavern. The food is hearty and freshly prepared. We were there in August and were able to sit outside on the veranda thanks to the sunny weather. My favorites are the bacon dumplings and, for dessert, the apricot dumplings.

16/08/2025: Fantastic food, great for kids. The best apricot dumplings I've ever eaten. Awesome view.

06/09/2025: We ate there twice while on vacation. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was top-notch. You should definitely eat there if you're in the area.

01/09/2025: My wife and I came for a Sunday dinner to celebrate our last day on vacation in the area. This was the most expensive and bland meal we had in the area. Our waiter Tom made a mistake and brought us a different meal than we ordered. I tried to catch his eye to let him know but several minutes went by and it became uncomfortable to have our food just sitting there so I began to eat it anyway. After several more minutes I caught Philip’s attention and asked him what the plate was. He explained in detail, and then I let him know it is not what we ordered. By this time our drinks and meal were half consumed. Phillip asked if he could bring the correct meal . I tried to not make my wife more uncomfortable by saying it was okay and we will keep it. The conversation did make her uncomfortable and I did not want to create a scene so we just dropped it. I would have thought the owner would offer a drink or desert to make up for it, but Phillip did not. When we returned to our hotel I called Phillip to personally let him know we had a bad experience at his restaurant. I spoke with both Tom the waiter and Phillip the owner. Yes, mistakes happen and no one is perfect. I am writing this review because I don’t think the owner cared what kind of experience we had.

25/07/2025: We stayed here for a total of seven days—a wonderful hotel with breathtaking views of Merano and the valley below. The breakfast and dinner are fantastic, topped only by the wonderful and motivated staff. The rooms are new—and the pool above the hotel offers a wonderful view of Tirol Castle and Thurnstein. The location is ideal for cycling. We will definitely come back.

09/07/2025: A lovely experience, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and dinner, average rooms, but with a lovely flower-filled balcony. Excellent location for visiting Merano and the surrounding area, nestled in a small, very quiet village, but with all the services, bars, and restaurants.
