08/06/2026: The view from the sun terrace is indescribable. You have a fantastic panoramic view over Merano, Dorf Tirol, and the Adige Valley. The homemade smoked sausages and the Kaiserschmarrn were delicious.

05/06/2026: We passed by here on the Merano High Trail. We ate a delicious Kaiserschmarrn there. Friendly staff and a fantastic view of Merano.

09/06/2026: We always love visiting Restaurant Schloss Thurnstein during our holidays. Beautiful ambiance! Fantastic view of Merano. The food is outstanding! You can tell that the dishes are prepared with great care. We highly recommend the veal Wiener Schnitzel, the coleslaw is a must-try, and the Kaiserschmarrn deserves a full 10 points! The staff is very attentive and always friendly. Cash and card payments are accepted. Table reservations are recommended! We wish all the staff continued success!

03/11/2025: A very tidy, clean house, as are the rooms. We always receive a very warm and friendly welcome and feel very comfortable with the Somvi family. We have everything we need at breakfast, and it's regularly replenished. Free parking is available. A refrigerator stocked with drinks is available on the ground floor. You simply write down what you take and pay at the end.

06/06/2026: Well, actually we don't want to leave a review 🙈 because we'd love to come back spontaneously. Some of the reviews are laughable, but seriously, people, be glad there are still places like this. We'd gladly give it 10/10, but Google won't allow it. The best, warmest, most charming service combined with amazing food. Sorry about those silly reviews about the shrimp being fried too crispy, but for heaven's sake, people, let's take a look behind the scenes. Here, a chef is at the stove who appreciates down-to-earth, good quality ingredients and conjures up creative, traditional dishes. We found the dishes to be top-notch in terms of taste and presentation, and quite unusual. The balance was perfect. What particularly appealed to us was the absence of pork on the menu. Anyone who's done a little research knows that there's no such thing as as much pork as bacon offered in South Tyrol. The menu is impressive for its regional focus. Yum! Absolutely fantastic, reservations highly recommended – you guys are great, thanks for the wonderful evening! We would love to come back again 😍

We were particularly impressed by the newly renovated rooms, the fantastic location with its stunning views, and the welcoming, family atmosphere. The absolute highlight, however, was the cuisine – every day we enjoyed freshly prepared, incredibly delicious dishes made with great attention to detail. We have never experienced such quality and flavor in any other hotel. We would love to return!

Beautiful hiking trails begin right at the doorstep – ideal for anyone who loves nature and relaxation. This family-run hotel impresses with its exceptional warmth and service, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are superbly equipped, spotlessly clean, and offer truly breathtaking views. The food is an absolute highlight: The owner conjures up delicious dishes every day, each one a delight! And then there's the excellent, estate-grown wine – simply perfect. The pool area is also fantastic, especially the infinity whirlpool with its panoramic view, which is incredibly inviting. Friendliness and service are truly paramount here – you can't help but feel completely at ease! 🤭

This family-run hotel is a truly lovely establishment where hospitality is genuine. We received a warm welcome and were made to feel right at home upon arrival. The hotel is situated above the village center and offers breathtaking views. The entire team goes out of their way to ensure guests' comfort. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the cuisine is a true delight. A huge compliment to the chef! He truly spoiled us with his culinary creations for a whole week.
