Restaurant Schneeburghof In Tirolo

The restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We went back again on our second evening. You have to try the dumplings at least once in your life; otherwise, you'll have no idea how incredibly high the standards can be. The service is incredibly efficient, and the staff at the Schneeburghof are exceptionally friendly. The view from the terrace is also beautiful. If we ever come back to Merano (which we definitely will), we'll certainly stop by again. If you're in the town of Merano, you can easily reach the restaurant on foot from the top of the chairlift!

We had two excellent meals. The celery soup was fantastic, the dumplings amazing, and the apple strudel divine. The staff was incredibly friendly.

We stayed here with our campervan. Everything was perfect for us. The price/performance ratio is excellent 💪. The restaurant is top-notch 👍 – superb service, fantastic food. I'd say many other places could learn a thing or two from this establishment. Beautifully presented dishes, and simply a delight for the palate.

The Schneeburghof is a wonderful hotel in a perfect location in the village of Tirolo above Merano. The view is magnificent. Hiking and cycling trails lead through the vineyards right past the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but they don't have a TV and are a bit noisy. Nevertheless, the value for money is outstanding and absolutely fair, so you shouldn't expect luxury, which is certainly possible elsewhere in Merano. The value for money is the reason why the room still gets full marks. The restaurant is fantastic... it was still a bit too chilly to sit outside, but there's a large conservatory with a lovely gas fireplace and a cozy dining room. The menu offers a clear selection of local dishes that are beautifully presented and taste absolutely delicious. Breakfast offers all the essentials and tasty items and is served as a lovely buffet each morning. We booked the bed and breakfast, so unfortunately I can't comment on the campsite other than its fantastic location. The main reason for the excellent rating, however, is the welcoming atmosphere and the wonderful people you meet here, which makes your time here truly special. You feel completely at ease and want to return, which we certainly will. We were able to enjoy the opening weekend after the winter season here and felt very, very comfortable. The price-to-facility ratio is fine. The slight shortcomings are overcome by the pleasant hosts, excellent food and service. The icing on the cake is the location, the view is magnificent from every angle. I hope to come back soon. Highly recommended
