26/10/2025: The ambiance and taste are simply outstanding. However, the portion sizes are very small, even for haute cuisine. The South Tyrolean down-to-earthness, which is emphasized throughout, might even give you hope that you'll be satisfied, even on a rather expensive evening.

09/10/2025: Highly recommended! This was our second time there and we were not disappointed. The service was extremely friendly and unobtrusive, always present, leaving no wish unfulfilled. The menu was perfectly tailored to the season, and we were treated to superb quality food, including cauliflower mousse with beetroot, pumpkin cream soup, tartar sauce, dumplings with porcini mushroom filling, and burrata. Everything was lovingly prepared and presented with great craftsmanship. The cocoa butter banana with banana cream was another eye-catcher at the end. Thank you for the wonderful evening.

24/10/2025: Since we discovered the restaurant on the Algund Waalweg path a few years ago, we've been visiting it every time we vacation in the Merano area. This time we "had to" eat in the dining room because it's already too cold on the terrace in October evenings. It's also very cozy inside, but understandably even cozier outside. The food is very good, and the desserts are always a highlight for us. Very friendly staff. We're looking forward to next year!

15/10/2025: We were really looking forward to eating here. Years ago, we had a delicious meal here. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed on October 15, 2025, with no mention of it on their website, Google, or Facebook. There was a sign outside stating they were closed. Disappointing, as we had driven half an hour to get there.

07/10/2025: The reception was very friendly, and even without a reservation, we managed to get a table for four people. (You have to be lucky sometimes.) The food (pizza) was super delicious and more than enough. Great hospitality and genuine hospitality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would definitely be back. Der Zufall führte uns in dieses wunderschöne Familien geführte Hotel abseits vom Trubel in herrlicher Natur. 3 Minuten entfernt ist der nostalgische korblift, über eine schöne Felsen Wanderung kommt man glücklich zurück zum Hotel

07/06/2025: Wunderschönes Hotel in einer außergewöhnlichen ruhigen Lage mit einem hervorragenden Restaurant. Hier passt einfach alles, vom freundliche Service, die Qualität und Geschmack der Speisen, der Ausblick bis hin zur Hausdame, die immer freundlich ist und die Zimmer auf Vordermann bringt. Die Halbpension beinhaltet ein umfangreiches Frühstück mit allem was Südtirol zu bieten hat, vieles davon wird auch selbst zubereitet oder kommt aus der näheren Umgebung. Das Abendessen besteht aus 3 Gängen und einem Salatbuffet, es gibt immer zwei Vor- und Hauptspeisen zur Auswahl und zum Abschluss ein Dessert. Auf Unverträglichkeiten wird Rücksicht genommen, soweit es irgendwie möglich ist. Wir waren 7 Tage hier und das Essen war jeden Tag (bis auf Donnerstag, da ist das Restaurant geschlossen) immer hervorragend.

14/10/2025: An original host who takes you back in time; the food is a bit unusual but delicious. Wine is the house drink, not beer. Everything is homemade. Reservations are required; otherwise, no change.

10/10/2025: A deep bow! Very, very delicious food and—this is the best and most precious thing—a whole lot of warmth. You have to experience it and be there to see it for yourself. Be sure to make reservations weeks in advance. You'll only find a spot if you're very lucky.

30/08/2025: The Gapphof is simply unique! Dogs and their owners are absolutely welcome here. There's absolutely nothing missing (a few dog hooks for leashes or hooks for dog towels might be useful, but they're not absolutely necessary). I can largely agree with the previous reviews and refrain from publicly praising it too much, so I'll be able to spontaneously book a vacation apartment like this in the future. We'll definitely be back, and not just once. Thank you so much for the truly wonderful stay we were able to spend with you. We really appreciated that we were able to enjoy your wonderful breakfast on the balcony or veranda back in March.

08/07/2025: We stayed at the Granny Apartment for ten days at the end of June 2025. A cozy, well-equipped apartment, well-maintained grounds, and warm service are important to us on our vacation. It couldn't have been better!
