Don't be disenchanted by the short dirt road leading upward to this beautiful little boutique hotel, because at the top of the knoll sits the charm and luxury you hoped for in Tuscany. We stayed in the deluxe king room with a view. We were so enchanted we stayed one extra night and even then, hated to leave. I underscore every compliment expressed by others, regarding the staff. They're fabulous and work diligently to make your stay comfortable and memorable, and they make all that look effortless. Kudos to Niccolo who shared fun conversation with us while still managing the operations. We felt like family. We did indulge in the 2 hour wellness experience and WOW! Do that! We also took a cooking lesson from the chef which was private, informative and simply delightful. This is located in the perfect place - away from the crowds but close enough to everything. Drive less than an hour in almost any direction through the gorgeous Tuscan countryside and your pick of wineries and history are at your fingertips. What adjective best describes this place? Fantastic? Awesome? Luxurious? Charming? yes - yes-yes!

06/01/2025: A 5 star stay. Structure located in a small town with a beautiful view of a medieval village surrounded by nature. Large and elegant rooms that combined a modern taste with historic environments. Private restaurant and exceptional dishes. Excellent buffet breakfast with wide choice and intimate. Professionalism and seriousness of the staff. A relay that pampers the customer from the moment of his arrival. We especially appreciated the little customer-friendly details, from parking with video cameras to welcome gifts.

05/01/2025: Very pleasant experience, we had two pizzas, very good, excellent dough, the place is also beautiful and the staff very professional and kind, I highly recommend it, it is difficult to find such good pizza in Siena and the surrounding area, the menu also includes Tuscan cuisine, very inviting dishes , I'll be back!

02/01/2025: Persi nella campagna toscana, due signori gentili ci hanno consigliato questo ristorante. Un suggerimento prezioso ! Abbiamo trovato un locale di una raffinatezza semplice ed accogliente, un cibo ottimo. Dolci da leccarsi i baffi. Raccomandatissimo.

04/11/2024: Ristorante vicinissimo Siena, in un bellissimo e caratteristico casale, la signora che ci ha accolti simpaticissima e cortese. Abbiamo mangiato dei piatti caratteristici e spettacolari, tutto buonissimo, dall’antipasto al dolce, consiglio vivamente. Prezzi in linea con la qualità e la ricercatezza degli ingredienti.

04/01/2025: Spectacular Sunday lunch trip out of town. Well done and congratulations to chef Cristian and family. We ate everything based on raw and cooked fish, sensational Stellar cuisine with modest prices, Perfect. We will return to try the meat. Well done and keep going 👍 Update, the restaurant has changed management since July 2024 and so I can't tell you how the food is now. It's a shame that the old Familiare Civale management has closed. 😪

22/12/2024: I had been there a few years ago and I liked it. I went back a few days ago and everything was confirmed, even better. Very good and plentiful dishes, impeccable service and honest bill. The fried food is truly excellent, very good mixed starter, excellent and homemade walnut gnocchi. Very good and equally plentiful desserts. Furthermore, what should not be underestimated is the environment and the context: quiet and friendly where you feel good and eat with pleasure. Restaurant to recommend and to return often.

24/11/2024: Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante su consiglio di un'amica che aveva già mangiato qui. Tutto ottimo ma segnalo i crostini di polenta al ragù, l'arrosto misto e la carne fritta. Servizio veloce e cortese, prezzo giusto.

02/02/2025: Location semplice, ma curata. Accoglienza calorosa. Crostini di milza: 12!!!!!!Tonno del Chianti (e' maiale speziato e cotto a bassa temperatura!!!!) molto buono. Pici all'aglione e con sugo di maiale in bianco (ottimo equilibrio dei sapori e del finocchietto selvatico): molto buoni. Cinghiale in umido (rigorosamente senza pomodoro!): 10! Tiramisu' "scomposto": 10. Vino della casa: piu' che decoroso. Cucina rigorosamente di territorio con materia prima a km 0, cucinata con grande maestria. Servizio cordiale e veloce. Rapporto qualita'/prezzo: ottimo! Ritorneremo!

03/01/2025: I hadn't been to this place for a long time, but the rumors about the pizza made me think again, very good pizza, simply top-notch, something has changed, the dough doesn't remain heavy but at the same time releases a balance of positive notes on the palate, this pizza is among the best in the area or the best, compliments to the staff.

21/10/2024: ¿Quieres tener una experiencia italiana REAL? - Lo Sfizio Italia no solo es acogedor y de diseño - Italia es como Lo Sfizio, también. El restaurante en sí no es acogedor en absoluto, PERO las pizzas son muy muy buenos y los otros platos de la cocina son muy buenos también. Auténtico, buen precio - los lugareños van allí. Para un restaurante romántico - no. Para la comida, buena comida real, vaya allí! son amables y las pizzas y pasta es como debe ser - precio y calidad sabia. Conozco gente local que va allí con frecuencia. ¿Tiene niños pequeños ruidosos - son bienvenidos, también. No hay ambiente - excepto realmente italiano - comida muy buena y precios reales adecuados. Me encanta este lugar. No se lo digas a demasiada gente...
