The next morning at breakfast even worse, the most beautiful tables in the sun are strictly prohibited because they are already prepared for lunch service. Among other things, those round American-style placemats are unhygienic. The world of hospitality is different.

26/02/2024: Siamo nel Chianti. In un casolare di pietra color miele...con una terrazza bellissima. Siamo all'Osteria di Fonterutoli.. Un posto incantevole, romantico e molto discreto. Vini di alto livello. Cucina gourmet. Servizio impeccabile. Ma partiamo dalla posizione della location. Bellissima, tra vigneti e olivi tutta illuminata con un comodo parcheggio sul retro. Davanti l'enoteca dov è possibile fare acquisti dei loro prodotti. La prima sala arredata country chic con pareti bianco latte davanti alla cucina aperta con vetrate. Sulla sinistra la piccola cantina allestita per le degustazioni. Camminando si entra nella sala coperta e riscaldata con tavoli apparecchiati perfettamente. Molto intimi ma adatti anche a gruppi ai quali vengono dati spazi più appartati. I piatti sono di un livello altissimo di qualità ,creatività, sapori e contrasti che lasciano veramente senza parole. Personale molto professionale ma soprattutto preparato e molto disponibile. Molto simpatici i ragazzi in sala che ci hanno accolti sorridenti con qualche battuta Toscana che di questi tempi ci vuole. Consiglio chi vuole fare bella figura di fermarsi a mangiare in questo posto meraviglioso. Ambiente molto adatto ad una cena di coppia. Specialmente all'esterno nel periodo estivo. Sono stato a mangiare in locali stellati dove non si mangia così bene.

24/08/2023: This is a superb Tuscan restaurant situated atop a hillside within the Fizzano resort in the Chianti region. This summer there were 2 menus, the original gastronomic menu, very high-end, and a more traditional Tuscan specialty menu. We ate here several times while staying at the resort, mostly from the Tuscan menu. Everything was exceptional, especially the homemade pastas and the desserts. For the quality, service and views, the prices were reasonable.

We only had dinner there because we were staying at the owner's B&B, and we had to remind him at the cash register of the "discount" he had promised us. 20/11/2023: We had a really good and comfortable time. The Zingarelli family's Riserva di Fizzano relais is immersed in a quiet, silence and tranquility that reconcile you with life and the world. The relais is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves as far as the eye can see and offers suggestive views and breathtaking sunsets and can be easily reached by car. Its position is strategic because it is possible to reach, by car and in a short time, places such as San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni and Castellina in Chianti. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the gourmet restaurant and the buffet breakfast (we still found in the two-room apartment: bagged croissants, rusks, jams, coffee, biscuits, milk, juice, etc.), as the restaurant was closed during the period of our stay. The two-room apartment with garden where we were guests is spacious, refined, rustic, clean and equipped with every comfort. We recommend that you find out carefully and in detail about how breakfast is offered, especially when the bar and restaurant are not available. Finally, a special thanks to the girls at the reception Ilaria, Sonia & Ana who supported us in all our needs, from the morning coffee/cappuccino, to booking the restaurants in the area and the visit to the Rocca della Macie winery. We strongly recommend the guided tour and related wine tasting at the Rocca della Macie winery, founded in 1973 by Italo Zingarelli and a paradise for classic Chianti. Discounts are reserved for guests of the Riserva di Fizzano relais, both for the guided tour (congratulations for Sofia's preparation!) and for the purchase of wine at the Wine-Shop.
