The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and cared for in the smallest details. You can feel the attention from the dishes always served hot, to the flannel under the tablecloth that makes the setting even more refined.
An experience that we highly recommend to those looking not only for excellent cuisine, but also for a pleasant and well-kept environment. We will definitely be back!

02/03/2025: Non è la prima volta che pranziamo a LE RONCACCE, è uno di quei posti dove ti metti seduto e non ordini niente, pensano tutto loro dall' antipasto all' ammazzacaffè e quando ti Rizzi da tavola sei sazio giusto e soddisfatto, poi quando vai a pagare credi di non aver capito bene. Certo è un po' sperduto, ma ne vale realmente la pena.
12/02/2025: Zero hospitality. Unfortunately we came on a Tuesday and after a 1.5 hour journey from Pistoia and as advised to leave the car in Melo, we walked for 1 hour to the place to discover that they are only open on Saturday and Sunday. We came here because they were recommended for the cuisine and to buy their products, but when we arrived at 1.30pm they told us that they were closed and dismissed with a goodbye, even though I had told them that we had gone there only for them and to buy their products. Given how much we had done to reach them and the time, they didn't even offer us a sandwich or a glass of water and made us leave. Hospitality is something that is probably not at home here.
We were careless not to call first, but neither on the website nor on any sign indicating the farmhouse was there any indication of the opening hours, something perhaps that we in Bolzano are not used to, because in our country any mountain hut will tell you whether it is open or closed before you set out to reach it. Big disappointment

09/02/2025: Really pleasant experience. We were guests of the structure, seven of us staying in the farmhouse apartment (grandparents, children and parents). We had a great time. A few km from the Doganaccia slopes, pampered by Mrs. Luana who in the evening prepared a dinner just for us with local products. Breakfast was also excellent.
14/01/2025: perfect farmhouse for a relaxing holiday in the mountains, excellent location (15 minutes from the Doganaccia slopes and 30 from the Abetone slopes); very clean and well equipped apartments, excellent restaurant and very welcoming staff

26/04/2025: I have already done a review or perhaps more than one for this historic restaurant, today I would like to try to explain the "behind the scenes"
I was there helping for 11 days because one of the pillars of the restaurant, Vasco, fell ill and is now recovering from the onset of pneumonia. When you are a customer you don't understand the difficulty of managing such a place, but as a helper you open your eyes and say how is it possible to do something like this for decades? Let's start from the kitchen, the kingdom of the cook and owner, Lidia, with those who follow her and support her at every step Carla, every day you have an à la carte menu where you can choose what is prepared early in the morning, the various sauces, the vegetables, the meats, the game, the desserts (even the desserts because here they are always made fresh) the hours it takes to prepare this and more are many, to give an example think of washing the vegetables and fruit, and the appetizers? The first ones? Second courses and side dishes? From rabbit to game, including fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar, croutons, truffles, cheeses... everything you want is here. But then the time comes to serve at the table and it's not like they are served in canteen style, they are served and presented very well, the two rooms are served by Claudia, the waitress, by Andrea the owner... you have to organize yourself, set the table, serve, clear the table and prepare again for those who will come to eat, around 40/45 seats, a whole succession of arrivals and departures, it may seem easy but it isn't, just the fact of satisfying all the customers/tables with the orders placed which, once taken, must then be passed to the kitchen, which in turn will have to manage them in the order dictated by those serving the tables and send them back to the dining room based on reservations so that everything runs smoothly... Another thing is that here is a step higher than other places it's wine, here there would be a world apart and to write for two days and I can't, this is Andrea's KINGDOM, he knows wines from all over Italy, a great connoisseur, each wine is produced with particular grapes and vines for have the best results, those who make you say I like this wine rather than that one, this aroma, this flavour... Andrea knows his stuff about these things, my partner and I always take advice from him as customers, we ask him what we would like to drink at depending on what you like (fruity, scent of wood, dry, more or less full-bodied, etc...) and magically Andrea doesn't miss a beat. The wine list here is unparalleled, the truth must be told, you can't find commercial wine... a clarification: red, white, rosé prosecco have no secrets with Andrea and I personally really like to have him explain the where, how and when of the wine I'm about to make. drink... in summary Lidia and Andrea, the owners, form a great team together with Carla, Claudia and Vasco, there must be a reason if it is a historic place (it is also found in the Michelin guide) so I invite you to try this cuisine linked to traditions and more, lunch or dinner doesn't matter, you just have to relax and taste... just say "I read Massimo's review" if you are curious to try...
25/04/2025: An old-fashioned place for refined palates.
A welcoming and familiar atmosphere, top-notch service and honorable mention to the owner.
The ingredients, quality, fresh and seasonal, are cooked and combined with care.
You must try the tasting of the day, always different and composed of 3/4 appetizers and 4 first courses.
Honorable mention for the tagliata sui dormienti, a seasonal mushroom with a delicate flavor, very difficult to find.
Spending just over €30 per person.
At La storia a tavola the quality of the past has remained but inflation has not arrived.

Starter, trio of first courses, sliced rocket, sliced artichokes, roast potatoes, dessert, coffee and coffee killer _30.00 very honest 😉
23/02/2025: I must point out that I put one star because there is no possibility of putting zero! Terrible experience!! From our arrival the staff was rude, it seemed like we were doing them a displeasure by staying there! Poorly informed and unprepared on the attractions and typical experiences of the place. Chaotic dinner, they didn't get a single dish of those we ordered right from their menu and inflexible timetables but the worst part was the room! Old, cold, with an unusable bathroom and very dirty! The next day we changed rooms since in the one they had assigned to us there was no possibility of even taking a shower because it was broken and also dirty.. in the new one there was a shower but the room was still dirty! At the time of payment the prices of the extras were not in line with those on the menu and they didn't even give us a discount for the inconvenience suffered, in fact the owner confirmed himself as arrogant and insolent when we pointed it out to him, a behavior he had maintained from the beginning and with every one of our normal requests! We spent €280 for two nights even though they didn't deserve half of it. Absolutely negative experience not to be repeated! I strongly advise against this place!

22/04/2025: Il ristorante si trova all'interno di un campeggio, facilmente raggiungibile dalla strada principale, appena fuori dal paese di Pian di Novello. Un posto davvero molto carino, accogliente e curato nei dettagli, sembra di stare a casa. Ci sono stato per la prima volta su consiglio di amici per il pranzo di Pasqua, avevano organizzato un menù a prezzo fisso comprensivo di un antipasto, due primi molto buoni perché la pasta era fatta in casa, due secondi con relativi contorni, dolce, acqua, vino, caffè a 40€. Direi che per la qualità e per come sono state trattate le materie prime sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Anche il servizio è stato soddisfacente. Lo consiglio vivamente e ci tornerò sicuramente.
29/03/2025: Siamo finiti in questo ristorante spulciando su internet, senza grandi pretese.
Location molto carina e curata nei dettagli. Personale accogliente e gentilissimo.
Menù molto vario, con indicazione della provenienza dei prodotti locali.
Come primi abbiamo preso una zuppa di funghi e dei tortellacci fatti in casa con un ragù tagliato a mano...incredibili entrambi, ottima qualità e preparazione.
Come secondi abbiamo preso un peposo di selvaggina con polenta e due tagliate..un burro entrambe le carni, cottura perfetta!
Anche il fritto misto all'italiana preso come contorno era davvero buono.
Raramente ci alziamo dopo una cena al ristorante così soddisfatti....Bravi Bravi!

26/08/2024: Rifugio non ristorante. Si scende al piano seminterrato (senza fineste dove ho mangiato). Servizio un po' rustico (da rifugio). In compenso si mangia bene, buoni sia i primi che i secondi. Ottima la polenta fritta portata in omaggio a inizio pasto. Conto economico. tranne i funghi fritti

Come spesso capita, quando andiamo qualche giorno in montagna, anche stavolta siamo andati a cena dalla Betty, cuoca e titolare "tutto fare" del campeggio.
In 4 abbiamo preso:
3 primi - tagliatelle ai funghi porcini, fusilli ( a me sembravano trofie) con pomodorini secchi e pistacchi; tortelloni alle ortiche con salsiccia e funghi;
4 secondi - tagliata di manzo rucola e parmigiano, 2 filetti di manzo al pepe verde, roastbeef;
Contorni 4 porzioni su 2 vassoi - 3 patate al forno e 1 verdure miste;
4 dolci - 3 gelati con mirtilli freschi, torta alla ricotta;
Piatti tutti buoni e abbondanti.
Mezzo litro di vino della casa, acqua in brocca gratis, 1 decaffeinato.
Totale 109 euro
