23/05/2025: I have had the pleasure of going to lunch and dinner at Da Fagiolino since I could hold a fork, in Cutigliano, in the heart of the Pistoia Mountains, and I can say without a doubt that it is always an unforgettable experience. This restaurant is a true gem that encompasses the beauty of Tuscan cuisine, offering typical dishes prepared with passion and authenticity. The Tuscan cuisine here is simply exceptional. Each dish tells a story of tradition, with a modern touch that makes it even more special. From handmade macaroni with hare sauce, to Tuscan crostini, crostone, to cantucci served with vinsanto, each course is an explosion of flavors that celebrates fresh and genuine local products. The dishes are cooked with skill and love for tradition, but also with great attention to the quality of the ingredients. An element that makes this trattoria even more special is the hospitality of the family that runs it. Paola, the mother, and her daughter Diletta, are the true soul of Da Fagiolino. It is clear that they are passionate about their work, and every member of staff I have had the pleasure of interacting with has been incredibly courteous and helpful. I grew up with the traditions of Da Fagiolino, and since I was a child I have been fortunate enough to be able to taste their cuisine. Every time I return, the experience is more and more special. It is a place that never ceases to amaze, where every dish is a memory and a new discovery. The familiarity and authenticity of the place are truly unparalleled. The atmosphere of the restaurant is intimate and welcoming, with a rustic touch that perfectly fits the high Tuscan mountains. All this is accompanied by a selection of fine wines from the area and beyond, which perfectly enhance each dish. I highly recommend visiting Da Fagiolino to anyone who wants to taste true Tuscan cuisine in a familiar and genuine environment. 19/05/2025: Era da parecchio tempo che volevo tornare in questo ristorante ed oggi mi sono deciso a farlo. Accoglienza ed ambiente: molto buoni Servizio:molto buono Menu : molto buono, in particolare evidenza i piatti storici di “Fagiolino” Rapporto qualità/prezzo : nella media….prezzi un po’ troppo alti rispetto ai piatti che abbiamo scelto Non ho stimoli per ritornarci

02/06/2025: Siamo stati a cena ieri sera per la prima volta con amici e siamo rimasti molto contenti! Cameriere gentilissimo e attento, pizza croccante e molto buona, locale piccolo e accogliente, proprio in piazza a Cutigliano; noi abbiamo cenato nella veranda esterna. Il bimbo piccolo che era con noi ha divorato tutto! Presente anche la mozzarella senza lattosio che per me è una salvezza e non è mai scontata, purtroppo! Abbiamo atteso un pochino ma il posto era veramente pieno, quindi più che comprensibile! Buoni anche i dolci! Ottimo prezzo. Torneremo sicuramente!

01/05/2025: Ristorante speciale! Cucina di qualità con ottime materie prime, personale educato e professionale che sa anche far sentire il cliente 'a casa'. Da fidarsi ciecamente: primi ricercati e del territorio, carne di qualità (daino e capriolo superlativi!!), funghi meravigliosi. Un posto dove stare bene, con una vista mozzafiato, persone genuine e simpaticissime...complimenti ragazzi!!

17/04/2025: Fixed menu, appetizer with local cold cuts and cheese, risotto with mushrooms and tortelli, 2 second courses including excellent wild boar, side dish, wine, water, coffee, grappa, we only asked for 3 second courses for 5 people so as not to overdo it, €24, the full menu will therefore be around €28-30, to be returned soon. Possibility to take away their cow's cheese

15/04/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo in questo posto, ambiente molto semplice con tovaglie di carta, un solo bicchiere e acqua minerale in bottiglia di plastica. Nella norma per una semplice trattoria. Cibo buono e ben cucinato ma niente di particolarmente eccezionale. Il tutto sarebbe anche stato positivo se il conto fosse stato in linea con tutto l'insieme. Invece conto decisamente troppo alto. Non ci tornerei.

09/02/2025: Really pleasant experience. We were guests of the structure, seven of us staying in the farmhouse apartment (grandparents, children and parents). We had a great time. A few km from the Doganaccia slopes, pampered by Mrs. Luana who in the evening prepared a dinner just for us with local products. Breakfast was also excellent.

02/05/2025: I have already done a review or perhaps more than one for this historic restaurant, today I would like to try to explain the "behind the scenes" I was there helping for 11 days because one of the pillars of the restaurant, Vasco, fell ill and is now recovering from the onset of pneumonia. When you are a customer you don't understand the difficulty of managing such a place, but as a helper you open your eyes and say how is it possible to do something like this for decades? Let's start from the kitchen, the kingdom of the cook and owner, Lidia, with those who follow her and support her at every step Carla, every day you have an à la carte menu where you can choose what is prepared early in the morning, the various sauces, the vegetables, the meats, the game, the desserts (even the desserts because here they are always made fresh) the hours it takes to prepare this and more are many, to give an example think of washing the vegetables and fruit, and the appetizers? The first ones? Second courses and side dishes? From rabbit to game, including fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar, croutons, truffles, cheeses... everything you want is here. But then the time comes to serve at the table and it's not like they are served in canteen style, they are served and presented very well, the two rooms are served by Claudia, the waitress, by Andrea the owner... you have to organize yourself, set the table, serve, clear the table and prepare again for those who will come to eat, around 40/45 seats, a whole succession of arrivals and departures, it may seem easy but it isn't, just the fact of satisfying all the customers/tables with the orders placed which, once taken, must then be passed to the kitchen, which in turn will have to manage them in the order dictated by those serving the tables and send them back to the dining room based on reservations so that everything runs smoothly... Another thing is that here is a step higher than other places it's wine, here there would be a world apart and to write for two days and I can't, this is Andrea's KINGDOM, he knows wines from all over Italy, a great connoisseur, each wine is produced with particular grapes and vines for have the best results, those who make you say I like this wine rather than that one, this aroma, this flavour... Andrea knows his stuff about these things, my partner and I always take advice from him as customers, we ask him what we would like to drink at depending on what you like (fruity, scent of wood, dry, more or less full-bodied, etc...) and magically Andrea doesn't miss a beat. The wine list here is unparalleled, the truth must be told, you can't find commercial wine... a clarification: red, white, rosé prosecco have no secrets with Andrea and I personally really like to have him explain the where, how and when of the wine I'm about to make. drink... in summary Lidia and Andrea, the owners, form a great team together with Carla, Claudia and Vasco, there must be a reason if it is a historic place (it is also found in the Michelin guide) so I invite you to try this cuisine linked to traditions and more, lunch or dinner doesn't matter, you just have to relax and taste... just say "I read Massimo's review" if you are curious to try...
