06/10/2025: We went to Osteria Rossini one weekend in Pisa and it was a wonderful experience. Delicious food, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and incredibly friendly staff. A special thanks to the always smiling and attentive waitress, who recommended what to order and made us feel instantly at ease.
She also recommended the baby pasta for our daughters.
Exquisite food.
We recommend making a reservation.

12/10/2025: After many years, I returned to this osteria in the historic center of Pisa, located on a side street in Borgo Stretto. The menu is Tuscan, featuring traditional recipes. The food was excellent, and we were completely satisfied. The menu changes frequently, and I highly recommend it.
11/10/2025: A very, very nice tavern!!! The lady is fantastic, friendly, and welcoming. The traditional dishes are very good, especially the testaroli and the peposo...wow!

10/10/2025: Almost nothing puts me in a good mood like eating fainá or cecina. The variety to choose from when making a sandwich is endless! I chose one filled with cecina alone.
Delicious. And she recommended I try "Spuma," a delicious non-alcoholic fizzy drink. Prices vary depending on what you want to add. A regular sandwich with just cecina is around €5.
A small place with high tables outside and a small bar inside. I highly recommend it.

21/10/2025: The pizza was very good. The dough was fantastic, springy and well-baked. Pressing the edges returned it to its original shape. The toppings were fresh and perfectly combined. As far as pizza goes, this is the only one out there.
21/10/2025: Simply the BEST carbonara I've ever had! The sauce was creamy and flavorful, and the bacon was crispy even though it was mixed in. The servers were all very friendly and good-natured. My only complaint is the couvert, which I didn't realize was included and cost us an unexpected 7 euros.

25/10/2025: I think I stopped here every night for dinner or just a snack while in Pisa. Loved the Medievale (salami, mushroom sauce OMG SO GOOD!) and the Lounge (chicken, tomato, lettuce, some kind of magic sauce the name of which I've forgotten). The fries were great (c'mon, Italy, you even do French fries well?), and the tiramisu was worth every penny.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and even helped my poor Italian language skills. Very welcoming, and great for eat in or take away.
15/10/2025: The piadina is barely adequate. The traditional one, there's no way to make it with stracchino. The cooked ham is flavorless. The atmosphere is characterless. The service is poor, they don't even recommend their specials; I saw them while I was eating... What a shame!

30/09/2025: We walked past this lovely wine shop. We decided to stop and enjoy a couple of delicious glasses of wine. The owner was very helpful and selected the perfect wines, which we really enjoyed! As the cherry on top, he also gave us great advice on a local restaurant known for its Tuscan specialties! Highly recommended!

22/10/2025: I'd been to Scaccomalto at its previous location and really liked the burger/sandwich. Last time, I found the sandwich good, but not as good as it used to be, and perhaps even smaller/less filling. The desserts were nothing special. I find the beers they offer very good, so it's still a recommended place. The service is also excellent. The acoustics, however, aren't great; it gets really loud and you have to raise your voice to converse.
Overall, as already mentioned, recommended.

If we lived in Pisa, this is where we would buy our bread and dolci.

20/05/2025: Cute little shop on your way to the Torre from the train station, selling fresh bread, focaccia, pizzette and a good selection of sweets. I liked the canestrini and the chocolate salami. The owner is a warm & friendly man.
