17/05/2026: Excellent location on the seafront, with a beautiful and elegant hotel entrance. The room is a bit dated and cramped for three people, but the staff is very friendly. The pool is beautiful, and especially the breakfast room with its sea view. The buffet is excellent, with a wide selection of sweet and savory options. Parking is available in the garage.

05/06/2026: Looks like a snack bar, but it's amazing. We had fantastic fritto misto, insalata de mare, and pizza. The house Vino Frizzante is very good. Perfect value for money. The staff/owner were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back here on our next visit to Viareggio 👍

25/07/2026: Excellent pizzeria with takeout available. Reservations are recommended. Prices are average for the area (a takeout Margherita costs nine euros). Restrooms and table service are available. Outdoor seating is also available. Street parking is available via a meter.

17/07/2026: We arrived at 8:30 PM with two elderly people and a reservation for an event we'd been told we could attend after 8 PM. The lady who greeted us was very rude and seated us at a table far from the event because, in her opinion, we were late, and she took our order in an equally rude and arrogant manner. At 10 PM, we still didn't have our pizza, and after we complained, we were told that if we wanted it, that was it; otherwise, we could do whatever we wanted. After ten minutes, the pizza finally arrived, and I have to say, it was excellent. The staff were rude (and I believe it was the owners), the wait was extremely long, but the pizza was very good.

16/08/2026: The dish didn't live up to the expectations set by the menu. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The evening began with a truly biblical wait and a significant problem: we were constantly attacked by mosquitoes, and there were no mosquito coils or other solutions to allow guests to dine outdoors. The worst part was the main course: I ordered sea bream with vegetables, but my portion consisted mainly of the head and two small pieces of fish. At €30, I expected a whole sea bream, as I've always experienced in Viareggio restaurants, being a local. When I asked for clarification, I was told that "it was the right size" and that I could change the dish. In my opinion, it would have been more appropriate to clearly indicate the quantity or size of the fish on the menu, to avoid different expectations. Unfortunately, my companion, with his trabaccolara, didn't eat enough because he only had 5 pieces of pasta. I also asked to speak to a manager or the owner, but was told he wasn't there and that only the waiters were in the room. I would have liked to have had a direct conversation and receive a more thorough explanation. It's a shame, because in the past I frequented this place for lunch and dinner when I was in the bathroom, and I always had a good experience: I remember very attentive management and a family atmosphere. I don't know if the management has changed, but this time I found the experience very different from what I remembered. Update: I came back and it was much better, thank you! I hope you keep it up! 🙏

23/12/2025: I went for a drink that evening with my friends. There were 20 of us when we arrived, and 13 of us ordered drinks. The others were forced to have something (other than water) because the place (after accepting the reservation, given the large number of people) was open only for us. €6 for a Coke and €2.50 for a half-liter of water, with no platters or anything. Very disappointed; it was a place I really liked. I understand that staying open on a Monday in winter is difficult to recoup, but it can't be passed on to the customers, since the reservation had been confirmed.

23/12/2025: LEGALIZED THEFT. Paying €6 for a Coke in December seems excessive to me. A table of several people forced to order because they were the only ones in the cafeteria. Impossible to order just a bottle of water because it's too cheap for the shopkeeper. BUT €2.50 for 0.5L of water is theft.

25/03/2026: A surreal and deeply irritating experience. Everything was going well until I asked for cheese to add to the risotto (which was already frozen). As soon as I added it, it gave off an extremely acidic smell and taste. I politely pointed out the problem to the waiter, hoping for a quick resolution. Instead of an apology, I received an irritated response: "It's just been opened." The worst, however, came with the owner. Instead of apologizing or checking the quality of the product, she approached the table visibly upset, verbally attacking me, accusing me of saying the cheese was "rotten" (a word she never used), arrogantly reiterating that the product was good and that the problem was my palate. Despite my attempts to calmly explain that even a freshly opened package can be tainted, the owner continued to yell at me, raising her voice in front of the other customers. An aggressive, rude, and totally unprofessional attitude. Final result: • No offer to remake the dish. • No discount or chargeback. • A gratuitous public humiliation for daring to report a poor service. If you're looking for a place where the customer is always wrong and treated with hostility, go ahead. As far as I'm concerned, harmony and respect for those who pay are something else entirely. Highly discouraged.

14/08/2026: Beautiful little restaurant with a warm atmosphere and service, and delicious food. The starter was delicious: antipasti di mare (cod with fennel, shrimp flakes, swordfish carpaccio, vongole, and mussels). Afterwards, a wonderful pizza frutti di mare with a lovely thin crust, lots of frutti di mare; simply divine. Dessert was tiramisu; the one with strawberries was heavenly.

05/08/2026: Wet and delicious spaghetti with clams. Very friendly service. It doesn't look that great from the street, but the restaurant is tucked away in the back...

06/04/2026: I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this time I couldn't help it. It was Easter Monday, the restaurant was packed, and there was a power outage along the entire waterfront: an unfortunate situation, certainly, and not attributable to the restaurant. The problem, however, was how it was handled. The entire outdoor dining area was manned by just two waitresses, and we were, in fact, completely neglected throughout the entire lunch, without any explanation or update. We had ordered a mixed appetizer consisting of four courses: after an hour and a half, only three of them arrived, all cold dishes that didn't even require electricity. After about an hour, we were asked for second courses; I asked for something quick, and after a few minutes, a single plate of paccheri arrived for two to share. The most disappointing thing was the bill: we paid full price for everything, including the incomplete appetizer. It's not so much the emergency itself, which can happen, but the complete lack of attention and care towards customers who, despite everything, pay in full. I left feeling truly disappointed and bitter.

We had ordered a mixed four-course appetizer, and three arrived after an hour and a half (since the food was cold and ready, it didn't require electricity). An hour later, they came asking for second courses. I asked for the quickest option available, and after five minutes, a plate of paccheri arrived for two. Dissatisfied with the emergency management, we went to pay full price for everything, even the appetizer, for which we only received three of the four courses. I'm sorry, but I've never left a place feeling so disappointed and angry. It's not the emergency, but the lack of attention shown by those who pay full price for no attention.

16/08/2026: It's a shame. We came to the MC Drive at 3 a.m. on August 15th and they refused our offers, saying they weren't available at that hour. Strangely, this happened on the night of a holiday. When we asked the girl serving us for an explanation, she replied, "Because there's an update (?)" with a mocking tone. There's no need to add anything else, because this is clearly a scam to take advantage of, knowing that many more people would be coming that night. All this as if the MC Drive didn't already make enough money. Never again.

02/07/2026: Pizza was soft and boring. Ingredients without taste, they write parmesan is 24 months, but it is nowhere near 24 months. We started off with the wrong food. You would think that as Italians they could make a pizza, but unfortunately this is not the case. A frozen pizza from the supermarket would be more exciting. Don't be fooled by their pictures like we did.

02/07/2026: The place is very welcoming and unique. The service is excellent. I must say, however, that for an award-winning pizza, I expected a "wow" effect, both in taste and appearance. In reality, it's a regular pizza, certainly good, but I expected something more, especially given how they're described on the menu (the composition of the ingredients). The final price would have been justified if this were true, although it's a bit steep. Finally, for the price paid, the dessert shouldn't have been served with cream that wasn't made on site (it was perfectly palatable). Please note that the pizza in the photo is a "married" pizza, so it's not included on the menu.
