01/05/2026: The best restaurant to never go to again. The pizzas we had were really not good. The first pizza we had was somewhat okay, but it was very hard and dry and didn't have much flavor. The knife could barely cut through it. The second pizza was a kind of grilled cheese sandwich that was also very dry. With the third pizza, the ingredients were not distributed, there were pieces of luncheon meat on it, large chunks of onion, and the taste wasn't good either. We also had a calzone where 5 cm of the edge had nothing on it, just dry dough, and the rest was crammed into 10 cm in the middle. With this, I ate 80% ham and the rest a bit of dough and cheese, but that was it. The pizzas were also burnt around the edges. At the end, extra money was charged for something we don't even know what it was. A plus point is that the person who served us was nice and polite. I have never looked forward so much to the moment the food was finished and we could leave.

28/03/2026: I'm still at the table. Unfortunately, people these days take everything for granted. I ate with a colleague; we're coach drivers. The spaghetti or garlic and oil was good, the Milanese and fries were classic, but what really took me back was the lemon veal cutlet. Simply perfect, just like my grandmother and mother used to make. With a side of a masterpiece of mixed salad, a carefully balanced mix of vegetables, peppers, celery, and fennel... In short, everything was perfect. And then there was him. Odilio. Simple and friendly, just like a host should be. If you're in the area, come visit him. Thanks. Marco

02/07/2026: Pizza was soft and boring. Ingredients without taste, they write parmesan is 24 months, but it is nowhere near 24 months. We started off with the wrong food. You would think that as Italians they could make a pizza, but unfortunately this is not the case. A frozen pizza from the supermarket would be more exciting. Don't be fooled by their pictures like we did.

02/07/2026: The place is very welcoming and unique. The service is excellent. I must say, however, that for an award-winning pizza, I expected a "wow" effect, both in taste and appearance. In reality, it's a regular pizza, certainly good, but I expected something more, especially given how they're described on the menu (the composition of the ingredients). The final price would have been justified if this were true, although it's a bit steep. Finally, for the price paid, the dessert shouldn't have been served with cream that wasn't made on site (it was perfectly palatable). Please note that the pizza in the photo is a "married" pizza, so it's not included on the menu.

28/03/2026: It's the pizza I ate during my summer vacations in Viareggio. It's incredible how the tomato and mozzarella flavors still match, and how good it is!!! There's no pizza like it!!!!

06/04/2026: I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this time I couldn't help it. It was Easter Monday, the restaurant was packed, and there was a power outage along the entire waterfront: an unfortunate situation, certainly, and not attributable to the restaurant. The problem, however, was how it was handled. The entire outdoor dining area was manned by just two waitresses, and we were, in fact, completely neglected throughout the entire lunch, without any explanation or update. We had ordered a mixed appetizer consisting of four courses: after an hour and a half, only three of them arrived, all cold dishes that didn't even require electricity. After about an hour, we were asked for second courses; I asked for something quick, and after a few minutes, a single plate of paccheri arrived for two to share. The most disappointing thing was the bill: we paid full price for everything, including the incomplete appetizer. It's not so much the emergency itself, which can happen, but the complete lack of attention and care towards customers who, despite everything, pay in full. I left feeling truly disappointed and bitter.

06/04/2026: I never leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, this place gave me one. Easter Monday, lots of tables, and an emergency power outage along the entire promenade. So far, bad luck, but not the restaurant's fault. The problem arises when the entire dining room, manned by just two waitresses, was abandoned for the entire meal, with no apologies or updates. We had ordered a mixed four-course appetizer, and three arrived after an hour and a half (since the food was cold and ready, it didn't require electricity). An hour later, they came asking for second courses. I asked for the quickest option available, and after five minutes, a plate of paccheri arrived for two. Dissatisfied with the emergency management, we went to pay full price for everything, even the appetizer, for which we only received three of the four courses. I'm sorry, but I've never left a place feeling so disappointed and angry. It's not the emergency, but the lack of attention shown by those who pay full price for no attention.

25/03/2026: A surreal and deeply irritating experience. Everything was going well until I asked for cheese to add to the risotto (which was already frozen). As soon as I added it, it gave off an extremely acidic smell and taste. I politely pointed out the problem to the waiter, hoping for a quick resolution. Instead of an apology, I received an irritated response: "It's just been opened." The worst, however, came with the owner. Instead of apologizing or checking the quality of the product, she approached the table visibly upset, verbally attacking me, accusing me of saying the cheese was "rotten" (a word she never used), arrogantly reiterating that the product was good and that the problem was my palate. Despite my attempts to calmly explain that even a freshly opened package can be tainted, the owner continued to yell at me, raising her voice in front of the other customers. An aggressive, rude, and totally unprofessional attitude. Final result: • No offer to remake the dish. • No discount or chargeback. • A gratuitous public humiliation for daring to report a poor service. If you're looking for a place where the customer is always wrong and treated with hostility, go ahead. As far as I'm concerned, harmony and respect for those who pay are something else entirely. Highly discouraged.

14/06/2026: This is a really fantastic spot for great food,very laid back and relaxed,the couple that own it are very friendly and helpful with the menu ,pasta and pizzas were delicious but I must say I had a whole chicken on one of the many nights we ate there and it was amazing,very reasonable prices

23/12/2025: I went for a drink that evening with my friends. There were 20 of us when we arrived, and 13 of us ordered drinks. The others were forced to have something (other than water) because the place (after accepting the reservation, given the large number of people) was open only for us. €6 for a Coke and €2.50 for a half-liter of water, with no platters or anything. Very disappointed; it was a place I really liked. I understand that staying open on a Monday in winter is difficult to recoup, but it can't be passed on to the customers, since the reservation had been confirmed.

23/12/2025: LEGALIZED THEFT. Paying €6 for a Coke in December seems excessive to me. A table of several people forced to order because they were the only ones in the cafeteria. Impossible to order just a bottle of water because it's too cheap for the shopkeeper. BUT €2.50 for 0.5L of water is theft.

07/03/2026: Disaster. Everything was frozen, including the cutlet.

17/02/2026: It's lovely to sit outside. The cappuccino is good. The price is also reasonable.

30/05/2026: My mom and I had a great experience here; we always stop by this little place with an adjoining veranda when we're passing through Viareggio. The decor is simple yet functional, the veranda large enough to seat at least twenty people (I saw they also do takeout and delivery), the paper tablecloths, and the menu can be accessed via QR code. From the outside, the place immediately evokes seafood; there's something charming and inviting about it, with reassuring colors. So why not stop by? It's great for lunch, but also for snacks and, if you prefer, aperitifs. Even though the veranda was quite full with people who still needed to be served, the staff were exceptional and quick. We ordered an excellent tuna sandwich and an equally excellent fried fish sandwich. Excellent service, as I said, competitive prices, cleanliness, quality, and the staff are professional. They're very friendly and you can tell they enjoy their work. For us, and certainly for others, it's a must-visit on the Viareggio promenade. We recommend it without hesitation! ;)

19/07/2026: Beautiful location, especially the outdoor tables, and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow and disorganized: bread and salt arrived only after repeated reminders, when they were no longer needed. Furthermore, two main courses were completely forgotten, and after an hour and a half of waiting, we had to cancel dinner. The appetizers were very limited in quantity and quite expensive. The food was good, but the evening was inevitably ruined.

11/05/2026: I went into the bar to have breakfast and work for half an hour since my train was delayed, a very bad decision because (I presume) the owner at a certain point blurted out, "You're not at home" and "I need permission." I was left speechless and very embarrassed by these comments. I was just working in a corner of the bar, as I always do in these situations. I've never been treated so rudely and impolitely. Apparently, in this bar, putting a laptop on the table is considered the equivalent of shouting and throwing firecrackers. Stay away if you're looking for a quiet place to hang out.

19/08/2025: After an afternoon at the beach, we stopped for dinner. It was a lovely surprise; we dined by the sea. The service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the seafood risotto was truly excellent. I'm giving it 5 stars and looking forward to another dinner to try other dishes.

15/08/2025: What a shame. The staff was kind, but the kitchen was out of order on August 15th. The menu had a choice of three appetizers, three first courses, and three second courses, and it was unbearable. Arriving at 12:30, we ate the last course at 3:00 PM. The ingredients were frozen. The staff, though very embarrassed, were kind. With those ingredients and that service (meaning the kitchen) it was expensive even at half the price. What do I know? I eat at restaurants for lunch and dinner every day and have even worked in the industry. 2 out of 3 diners reluctantly gave up their second course. I had to apologize to my guests. #SHAME

05/06/2026: Looks like a snack bar, but it's amazing. We had fantastic fritto misto, insalata de mare, and pizza. The house Vino Frizzante is very good. Perfect value for money. The staff/owner were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back here on our next visit to Viareggio 👍
