There are several errors in this pizza... the taste isn't bad, but it wasn't cooked well (bottom) above (oven temp.), too watery tomato which wetted the dough, plenty of mozzarella (you can see it in the photo) which weighed everything down and didn't let it "breathe". the pizza. the dough is semi-wholemeal according to the lady who serves it, and the flavor denotes it, which you may like or not.
You have to ask for the receipt...
05/08/2024: There is incredibly good pizza here! Due to its location right on the street, the restaurant doesn't seem very inviting. Don't let this fool you! The pizza will make you forget everything! :)

17/08/2024: Finalmente un locale in cui il menu è scritto a chiare lettere sulla carta e non occorre fotografare quel grottesco e volgare quadratino fatto di quadratini.
Ambiente piacevole. Cena semplice ed eccellente a base di pesce. Servizio gentile ed efficiente. Conto onesto.
14/07/2024: Ristorante rilassante , si mangia all’aperto in estate e c’è un piccolo parco giochi molto utile se si hanno bambini . Cucina varia con un tocco di fantasia e molto ben eseguita . Ottime materie prime .. buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo .. così buono che in un mese ci siamo stati già tre volte ..

27/08/2024: Undoubtedly the place has some plus points: the panoramic view and the gazebos in which it is possible to eat, which are adorned with beautiful white curtains. Another strong point is the quality of the raw materials they use in the kitchen. Excellent cured meats, excellent quality of tagliatelle. That said, the service is completely impersonal and not empathetic towards the customer, the sommelier's advice is ephemeral and somewhat limited to obvious pairings, the food is good but lacks that something that allows you to remember it or appreciate its originality . Ultimately the experience was positive but, also considering the prices, the place should improve on some aspects.

06/08/2024: There are two questions at the beginning of a possible visit: Do you want to sit comfortably in a pleasant atmosphere, or do you want to eat a fantastic pizza for little money? If the answer to question one is absolutely positive, you have no business with Scacco Matto. You sit more or less in a backyard on beer benches at long wooden tables. But if that doesn't matter, you will be rewarded with a really delicious pizza from the wood-fired oven. I would almost go so far that you don't have to try any other pizzeria in Viareggio. Since the visit took place at the beginning of our vacation, I may adjust this statement later. I can hardly imagine it though. I didn't pay attention to the individual prices of the pizzas, but with three pizzas (Salciccia, 4 Formagi, Gorgonzola) with water for €32.50, I no longer have any questions. A clear, definitive recommendation.

02/07/2024: Small place but with a nice pergola outside.. cured meats, cheeses and above all excellent quality meat! The pappardelle with wild boar is good but the Lucchesi tordelli with ragù is super good! The portions are generous and the service is fast with young and polite staff.. recommended especially in summer where the location allows you to stay cool! The price is average.

In August I went to order a dessert for my 6 year old son's birthday, since they were all children I asked for a dessert weighing 3kg maximum 3.5kg (also respecified by email) and I was told that the price was €18 per kg! When I went to collect the dessert I found myself with a 6.5kg dessert and was charged €123.50 so €19 per kg! The owner with whom I spoke at the time of payment (where he saw the error) walked away! Plus there was liqueur in the dessert! It was a huge disappointment and rip-off!
07/05/2024: They produce the famous Versilia dessert and it is a specialty.
Not to mention the profitterol cake, delicious, prepared to order.

Siamo stati con 2 amici in questo ristorante consigliato a piano di mommio , essendo venerdì e avendo deciso a l'ultimo ci hanno comunque trovato un tavolo .
Ci fanno accomodare in giardino, iniziamo a ordinare e cominciamo con l'antipasto renzo, buonissimo
E abbondante ,su consiglio della cameriera ordino un primo essendo pasta fatta in casa fresca e punto a un classico toscano i tortelli alla versiliese
Ordiniamo anche le fettuccine fatte sempre a mano saltate con porcini Nostrali e fonduta di parmigiano. Squisite e due Gran plateau Tris di tartarine
-Con stracciatella e pomorini Carpaccio di Manzo con Nocciole e caprino
-Carpaccio di Manzo con stracciatella e rucola.
Vino e acqua .
Qualità prezzo ottimo !
Devo dire che siamo stati benissimo pulizia cordialità e atmosfera sono di casa ,insomma un ristorante completo una scoperta molto piacevole Torneremo per provare i piatti di pesce e la pizza!

16/03/2024: The family box is excellent on Friday evenings and the Sicilian specialties on Saturdays... but every day you can find many types of bread and focaccias and they are all spectacular!!! Over the top for me!!!
22/12/2023: Premesso che sono un gourmet, il forno propone una ottima selezione di pane toscano ,con varianti sciocche e con molte varietà di farine. Tutti di ottima fattura e gusto.
Meravigliosi i panini al latte.
Manca sono il pane a cassetta da sandwich.
I dolci ,sono in parte di tendenza della cultura sicilina.
Meravigliose le brioche, sicuramente le migliori della zona viareggina.
Stupendi gli arancini.
