Every time we head to Abetone, we stop there for dinner along the way.

28/01/2026: Excellent place, after the bad news of its closure at the end of the year, the good news is that it's reopening with a truly talented chef from Casoli, apparently, along with the help of Rita and, I hope, the old staff, who are truly brilliant. It would have been a shame if it hadn't happened.

24/11/2025: This refuge is strategically located, easily accessible even for those not accustomed to extensive hiking, yet completely immersed in nature. From the refuge, you can quickly reach the Apennine ridge, where trails suitable for all levels begin. The service is friendly and welcoming, the food excellent, and barbecues are available in good weather. It's an ideal place for children. Check opening times or book through the Lucca CAI (also on their Facebook page).

25/09/2025: This bar is in an excellent location with a large outdoor area, where it's pleasant to stop and chat in peace. We can't comment on the food because we only had coffee, but the welcome was warm and very helpful. Finally, the restrooms were very clean, which is always a nice touch. Well done!

05/12/2025: LOVE this Restaurant!!! Ate there my first time in town a while back and couldn’t quite time it right my other visits but the food is outstanding!!! The ambience super and the service just as friendly as can be!!!
We wanted to try every single item but we both ordered the steak with truffle sauce and we’re glad we did because we would never have been able to share it!!! Can not wait to go back so we can try their mushrooms 🍄🟫 🍄 heaven menu!!!

14/09/2025: We were on our way to our accommodation and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We didn't want to stop on a main road, so we decided on this pizzeria on the spur of the moment.
And it was a great decision.
The food was excellent.
We had two antipasti (bruschetta and fried porcini mushrooms) and two primi.
The porcini mushrooms were amazing, and the bruschetta was also very tasty.
It's true, the menu is handwritten. It's kind of quaint.
And in a place like this, you can really taste the freshly prepared home-style cooking. The main courses were also great.
I had the macceroni with duck ragu. Truly excellent.
We received very friendly service and were able to communicate well despite our lack of Italian.
I highly recommend this pizzeria. You can't go wrong here.
