15/03/2026: We had dinner for our anniversary. I asked if I could leave a little surprise for my fiancé, and we were completely satisfied. Not to mention the welcome and the quality of the food.
They immediately offered us a welcome glass of prosecco: delicious. Next, they brought us two first courses (tagliatelle with wild boar and pici with white Cinta Senese ragù), two second courses (peposo with creamed potatoes), and last but not least: the ricciolina.
The portions were adequate, the second course was perhaps a little on the small side, but the quality was evident, and every bite was a delight.
We had a great time, and if we were to
return to the area, we'd definitely return!

04/04/2026: Finding a decent pizza on Amiata is a difficult task: ready-made pizza bases, toasted pizza, poor quality ingredients, raw egg placed on what should be a capricciosa (a hard-boiled egg is used), cooked ham, let alone anything else, but please, you are not even capable of making a pizza in these areas.
30/01/2026: Feeling like a warm welcome and discreet hospitality has become a key factor in allowing me to sit down at a restaurant and then have things to say about the hospitality of a place, its people, and, only then, the quality of the food I've tasted.
"170 grammi," a pizzeria and restaurant in Pian di Ballo/Castel del Piano, was exactly what you'd expect at the end of a day of traveling, to relax and enjoy a good pizza (with a low crust and crispy crust, just the way my wife likes it!) made with decent-to-good-quality ingredients:
eating well, having no digestive regrets, and taking home the fond memory of a place that hosted you with loyalty and warmth.
This happened to my wife and I at the "170 grammi" pizzeria in Pian di Ballo/Castel del Piano.
Thanks to the owners and, in particular, to the kind lady who welcomed us, perfectly representing the hospitality of these places.

23/02/2026: We went to this bar for a drink and weren't happy with the bartender's behavior. He was very rude and inconsiderate. We definitely won't be setting foot in this bar again! A word of advice to the bartender...change jobs!!!

09/07/2025: Bel ristorante e albergo a Castel del Piano.
Sono stato a cena con la famiglia e abbiamo scelto di mangiare il pesce. Ottimi piatti, porzioni abbondanti e servizio efficiente e rapido seppur fosse affollato.
Camerieri gentili e disponibili e soprattutto dei prezzi veramente bassi. Da provare assolutamente.
07/07/2025: Senza prenotazione con a seguito un Pastore Tedesco fuori taglia per grandezza, ci hanno accolti con cordialità e fatti accomodare per nostra scelta nei tavoli all'esterno del ristorante. Come sempre...... come a casa. Ottimo cibo, bravo il personale e cordialissimi i titolari. Rapporto qualità/ prezzo eccellente.

09/11/2024: Salve , sono stata a pranzo visto che lo raccomandava guida Michelin che non sbaglia mai devo dire , questa volta è andata male , il locale bello , in esposizione dei prodotti toscani , ,,una bella vista del terrazzo e basta . Non ne vale la pena andare per il cibo. Servizio pessimo, le pappardelle ai funghi immangiabili, i ravioli con il ragù mediocre , unica cosa buona il piatto dei formaggi. Prezzi onesti .

Abbiamo cercato sul web un ristorante dove mangiare funghi freschi ,dato che siamo in pieno periodo di raccolta
Tipica osteria Toscana con soffitto a vela in mattoni con una vista mozzafiato dalla terrazza sul retro
Insalata di ovuli e porcini che profumavano ancora di bosco .
Tagliatelle artigianali con una perfetta cottura dei porcini al dente.
Un ottimo Montecucco prodotto da loro.
Servizio cordiale e puntuale .
L'unico problema è che dista 2 ore di viaggio da casa nostra.

09/09/2023: Nonostante un menu pretenzioso, si mangia piuttosto male e il servizio è così improvvisato da essere ridicolo. Tortell induriti perché cotti in precedenza e poi riscaldati nel burro. Patate crude, arrivate dopo aver finito la carne che era dura e insapore. Impossibile sapere dalla gentile cameriera che vino ci ha servito: proprio non lo sapeva e nel foglietto strapazzato che aveva in mano non c'era scritto!! Prezzi alti anche per un ristrante dove qualcuno sa cucinare... Non ci tornerò
15/08/2023: Vorrei fare una critica costruttiva per questi due ragazzi che hanno rilevato questo locale. Prima di tutto quando si dà un orario anche se il cliente si presenta cinque minuti prima si dovrebbero fare trovare i tavoli pronti...poi non si può servire l'antipasto con l'insalata avvizzita e maleodorante...capisco che manca l'esperienza e quindi vi invito a migliorare il vostro servizio per dare al vostro locale il giusto valore
