Ristorante Impero In Castel del piano

We had dinner for our anniversary. I asked if I could leave a little surprise for my fiancé, and we were completely satisfied. Not to mention the welcome and the quality of the food. They immediately offered us a welcome glass of prosecco: delicious. Next, they brought us two first courses (tagliatelle with wild boar and pici with white Cinta Senese ragù), two second courses (peposo with creamed potatoes), and last but not least: the ricciolina. The portions were adequate, the second course was perhaps a little on the small side, but the quality was evident, and every bite was a delight. We had a great time, and if we were to return to the area, we'd definitely return!

Being there in autumn gave us the opportunity to eat fresh porcini mushrooms and local chestnuts.

The waiters were professional and friendly. The gentleman, who I believe was the head waiter, was attentive and professional. The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and tasted great.
