Truly excellent platters and authentic, flavorful, and well-prepared Tuscan cuisine.
The added bonus? Gino, the unexpected host: a bit of a pirate in style, but incredibly knowledgeable and capable of putting you at ease right away.
An absolutely worthwhile experience!

03/05/2026: I hadn't been back for years, it's changed management. I hadn't been back because they'd expanded too much and it felt more like a festival than a restaurant.
We made the mistake of going on a Saturday night, and despite having a reservation, there was a frustrating line for a table and a strange "table-hopping" system where a table for three became available and they were looking for a group of three in the line. Sorry, but did I book or not?
It's nonsense, something I've never seen anywhere else.
Otherwise, once we managed to get a table, the service was courteous and fast, the food was good, and the price was okay.
I'd go back, but not on a Saturday night.

14/05/2026: Seafood restaurant located near the Florence Sud highway exit. Very pleasant atmosphere, with informal yet elegant decor. Interesting dishes, including a good variety of raw seafood. The quality of the ingredients and dishes is decidedly high. Prices are a bit high, but reasonable. Service isn't the fastest, but always very friendly. Overall, a place definitely worth trying.

10/05/2026: I go to buy lunch for my boyfriend every now and then. But I try not to go because then my diet goes haywire. Everything is great. Excellent!
All the people who work there are very kind. Clean place.

The bathroom could use a little more attention, both in terms of cleanliness and maintenance: it's a shame, because the place deserves it and the food is truly delicious.

05/03/2026: A pleasant Sunday lunch with excellent service and hospitality. The food was truly delicious, and I indulged in a sinful indulgence during Lent, because after fried fish, you can't say no to pastiera! Highly recommended! (I chose to do penance the next day 😆)

02/05/2026: Our first visit to this wonderful restaurant was ten years ago. We've known chef Andrea Perini since before he even arrived at 588. We celebrated our first child's baptism here, and we'll be back for my partner's fortieth birthday. We returned for dinner this evening, after several years, and found the service to be very attentive and professional, with special mention to sommelier Lorenzo. The food pairings were perfect, and we were very friendly. We obviously chose the chef's tasting menu, and were amazed, as always. You're not just tasting the excellent ingredients, but the thought and research that goes into every single dish. Congratulations!! See you soon!
08/12/2025: A charming place nestled in the greenery of Florence. We came in November. The attentive service and the excellent quality of the ingredients were almost perfect. We'll definitely be back.

You can eat on-site...they also have a small room available for dinners and birthday parties (reservations required, of course).
Friendly and helpful staff!!!!

25/05/2026: A small but well-prepared ice cream shop in Gavinana! Very interesting flavors, delicious gelato 😄 You can also enjoy your gelato at the tables right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which is always a plus!
13/04/2026: We stopped by for some gelato, and it was excellent. Lots of flavors, friendly staff, and above all, excellent gelato. Creamy and flavorful to perfection.
Winning combination? Coffee and Baileys.
