29/03/2026: The restaurant is truly beautiful, clean, and spacious. We tried some of the traditional dishes, like the cotoletta, and we loved them. The portions are generous, and the staff is attentive and helpful. We'll be back again.

14/05/2026: Dinner on April 30, 2026, 2 adults and 2 children Very positive experience We arrived at 7:00 PM, ahead of schedule. Not all the staff were present yet, but the person I believe to be the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. The pizzas were delicious, well-topped and made with a remarkable dough, especially easy to digest. 4 pizzas, 2 portions of fries, 2 waters, 1 bottled beer, 3 desserts: €80 Highly recommended!

19/04/2026: Very nice and friendly place... Excellent food, both the pizza and the cuisine are good, and prices are average. The staff is helpful; perhaps a little slow in service, if I had to find a flaw. But I have to say we always have a great time and return often. It's also great for families with children, as they have an outdoor space with a large playground that's visible from the outside tables. Everything is very well-maintained and cared for. I definitely recommend it.

03/06/2026: UPDATE MARCH 2026: Change of management and a new identity for the historic Zum BrillenBar, which becomes PIT GRILL & RESTAURANT. Good, plentiful food at fair prices. Poor service, and a seemingly endless wait (45 minutes) between the first and second courses. What a shame...

28/06/2026: Excellent pizza, as for the food side one thing to say, about the service a little less, the waiters a little awkward, the rustic and characteristic environment unfortunately has no air conditioning and since there are not many seats outside we had to make do with the inside and in these times with the temperatures that are there we suffered a bit.

04/07/2025: It's safe to say!!! When the pan is left dirty with used or fried oil, the environment suffers, especially the guests...etc... I strongly do not recommend it.

17/05/2026: A beautiful, well-kept restaurant. Despite the crowds, the seating capacity is enormous, and the service is quite good, although there are some issues with timing. The main courses arrived slowly, and we were forced to eat separately (me and the four people with me). The steamed seafood salad was very good. I recommend it.

08/12/2025: I'll start by saying I've always been a loyal customer of this place since the owner, Max, was there. He was super friendly and nice, and his wife in the kitchen was the best... I'm returning after years under new management. When I walk in, I no longer feel the warm welcome (in every sense of the word). There's very little people (three tables occupied). I open the menu 😱 Not even a third of the menu they used to have. Okay, I opt for the cutlet with deep-fried potatoes. First, I call the waitress and tell her it's cold. Can she turn on the heating? It was freezing! She turned it on, but before it started heating, we finished eating. Conclusion??? Today I'm in bed because I had a congestion!! That said, the food was well cooked, nothing to complain about, but you can't keep a place in the cold in December with customers eating. I definitely won't be returning, and I miss the days when Max was there.

10/08/2025: After a long time I returned to have lunch at this place and I must say that the dishes are always super excellent and super abundant. If you have no idea what to eat, well here you have no problem, you will find something for all tastes and palates: appetizers, first courses, second courses, pizzas, hot sandwiches, piadinas and desserts. The biggest difficulty is choosing because unfortunately they are all good. What can I say if you go there, have a good meal! Ps if you want they also do take-away.

23/06/2026: I'll start by saying that I don't like to write negative reviews, but it's annoying when faced with blatant cases of negligence. Let's start with the positives: good breakfast, the lady in charge was very helpful and friendly. We ate well. Let's get to the rooms. At least mine (103). The rooms are dated, with some new features (sockets, flooring). I stayed here one night in June 2026, and it was very hot. The plumbing probably runs directly under the floor, or there was a furnace under the room, because some areas were 40 degrees Celsius despite the heat. No ventilation system. No air conditioning. Unlivable. The shutters jammed the first time they were opened. Let's get to the gem: the bathroom was redone, but here's the extremely annoying thing: the windowless bathroom—without any fan—is completely full of mold. The ceiling is a sky with a Kantian constellation of mold. What astounds me is how well-maintained the rest of the hotel is, partially renovated, relatively modern, with a decent sink, all tiled, and a pseudo-walk-in shower. I would have guessed this from a punk-ass cousin, but not from a paid establishment that takes care of all other aspects of cleanliness and service. An incomprehensible neglect. The room is right on the main road, and there's even a fair amount of traffic noise, so as not to detract from anything.

18/05/2026: Rooms are a little dated, but the price is reasonable for the service. The restaurant serves excellent German specialties. Breakfast is also good. A top location for visiting the city center.
