04/06/2026: We had dinner two nights in a row, and the food was excellent. The grilled octopus was the best I've ever eaten. Our compliments go to Santino, who was extremely kind, courteous, and available for anything.

30/05/2026: A museum-like restaurant for football fans, with a good menu featuring a variety of appetizers, first courses, and second courses, both fish-based and otherwise. You'll find the first jersey of a Juventus player and AC Milan's first international cup, along with a wealth of other memorabilia. Good food and average value.

We were there for lunch and managed to get a table. Because the restaurant was quite busy, the service was a little slow.

02/06/2026: Perfect hotel, very spacious, beautiful pool, with individual apartments rather than rooms as usual, impeccable housekeeping (they even folded my clothes), and courteous and helpful reception staff. The location is just steps from the port where hydrofoils arrive and where they rent dinghies and scooters.

07/05/2026: Bar, Pastry Shop, and Rotisserie with fresh homemade products. The desserts are delicious, and there's a wide variety of gelato and granita.
Beautiful terrace with sea views. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Upon request, they make the best Messina black and white wine in all of Sicily.
16/04/2026: The service is absolutely horrible. The price of €11 for an Aperol Spritz is totally exaggerated. Don't go there you will be ripped off

07/11/2025: The owner of the place was incredibly rude. I tried to take a chair to sit at a reserved table, and he started yelling at me to leave it, saying the table was reserved. I told him I'd give him the chair when he needed it, but he continued yelling at me for no reason, saying I wouldn't get up afterward. So I left with my group of friends. This man really needs a customer service and etiquette course. If you can, avoid this place.

The Hotel da Franco is a beautiful property: panoramic, clean, quiet, but above all "authentic"! We were greeted by the owner Paolo, who accompanied us from the pier to the hotel...
Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and a splendid veranda overlooking the sea!
Paolo is the real plus of the property: heart, passion, and so much kindness for his guests...a truly wonderful person, as is his staff...congratulations!

28/10/2025: We were on a sailing holiday and arrived in Salina marina for the night. We chose this restaurant because it was small but busy. We now know why it was busy even for off season. The food was fabulous. The yellowtail was especially good. Although a limited selection the wine was local and good. Highly recommended.
28/10/2025: A fantastic experience for simple, classic with a twist Aeolian cuisine! We had a wonderful dinner while in Salina and would highly recommend the restaurant. Chef Fillipo is a genius when it comes to taking the most humble of local ingredients and turning them into absolute delicacies. Starting with the broad bean soup with herbed ricotta and anchovies a classic Sicilian soup taken to the next level with fresh herbed ricotta and salty anchovies. We both wanted meat for so we chose the black pork sausages and the house made beef spiedini both absolutely delicious and so simple and we both had the purslane salad, foraged from the local mountains and just delicious. The salted mandarin sorbet with Lemon jam was a perfect finish. We loved everything and would highly recommended you visit.

27/07/2025: Il VERO pane cunzato è molto diverso!! Basta cercare una foto su Internet e si capisce subito che ciò che è servito in quel ristorante e che loro chiamano "pane cunzato" non è in realtà Pane Cunzato! Oltretutto è stata chiesta anche una verifica ad una cuoca siciliana esperta tramite foto scattata sul momento in cui è stato portato il piatto quando sono andat* a pranzare in questo ristorante e la risposta è stata che quello "non era assolutamente un VERO pane cunzato"!!!
Perciò non consiglio assolutamente di mangiare in questo ristorante.

31/08/2024: Se volete una granita stratosferica accompagnata da gentilezza cortesia e affabilità assolutamente dovete venire a trovare Tano, non è scontato che le granite e brioches classica colazione siciliana siano buonissime ovunque ,quindi avendo sperimentato altri posti deludenti mi sento di consigliarvi dove con certezza una colazione buona e felice vi farà iniziare la vostra giornata al top.
