07/11/2025: I celebrated my 18th birthday at Villa Mirador, and I'd like to share my experience. I chose Sala Roberta for my special day, a room that was impeccable to say the least. The decor, by Orazio Patanè, was also impeccable, and the dishes were perfect and delicious. Special mention goes to one of the owners, Mr. Michele was very helpful throughout the entire preparations, yet the evening was almost completely ruined by terrible entertainment. In fact, the evening could have easily ended at 11:00 if it hadn't been for me, who had planned everything down to the smallest detail. There wasn't even time to clear one dish before another arrived immediately afterward. When I asked both the maître d' and the entertainment staff to slow down, they completely ignored me. In fact, dinner started at 9:40 and ended at 11:00 (a dinner consisting of a buffet, appetizer, two first courses, and one second course). By 11:00, we had already reached or was close to the cake. I would like to point out that even before the birthday party began, I had told the entertainment staff and a gentleman in the dining room that I didn't want the birthday party to go by quickly, yet my request was not granted. I'd like to focus on the entertainment, which, as far as I'm concerned, is a total waste of money. In fact, the first complaint came as soon as I entered the room. A dear friend of mine gave the USB stick with the video to the DJ and the entertainer, and they immediately started systematically complaining about the length of the latter (25 minutes). Subsequently, the discontent continued. In fact, when I asked to slow down, they replied, "Oh, we can't stay here all night," at 10:30. Furthermore, the entertainer wasn't at all involved. I asked for dances from groups of their choice, and the entertainer didn't even bother to show us the dances, assuming we knew them. I don't think this is professional entertainment, or at least at no other 18th birthday party I've been to has it ever been done as ineffectively as at mine. I believe that customers deserve better treatment, since these are all events that I, like all of us, have been waiting for for years or months and the fact that the latter should be ruined by unprofessional people is certainly not ideal, in fact, for the whole evening I felt as if they wanted to send me away, I am sorry to write this review because, as already said, Mr. Michele, the room, the chef etc. were excellent and impeccable in everything, I hope that they can soon improve this aspect as all the others are taken care of down to the smallest details.

16/11/2025: Disappointing experience. We came in at 1:30 PM with my family, my wife, and my daughter, and left at 4:30 PM. Two set menus and a main course for my daughter, and an interminable wait. It was Sunday lunchtime and there weren't even any crowds. The food was nothing special and the price was steep.

13/11/2025: A little corner of paradise for lovers of home-cooked food! The location is welcoming and the owners are super friendly, always ready to make you feel at home. They served us dreamy mushroom pappardelle, the platter and marinated vegetables were perfect, and the bread… well, you could eat tons of it! Not to be missed.

06/11/2025: Trattoria N'Da Calata Zafferana is a great find—a local restaurant that offers good local food at excellent value near the Etna area. It's a bit hidden, but definitely worth seeking out for an authentic meal. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient, making for a pleasant dining experience. The main dishes we ordered (pasta and salad) were standard and good, but the real star of the show was the Fried Ricotta! As a ricotta lover, I was blown away by this specialty. They were perfectly prepared: crunchy and golden brown on the outside, with a wonderfully soft and rich ricotta filling inside. The portion is huge—you get six large pieces in one dish! It's ideal for sharing as an appetizer or could easily serve as a very satisfying main course. If you are dining here, you absolutely must order the fried ricotta. It’s a unique, delicious dish that elevates the entire meal and offers fantastic value.

09/11/2025: We were at this inn. The food was average, with very small portions. A ridiculous plate of mushrooms was overpriced. For the same quality, the price was truly outrageous. I don't recommend it at all.

09/11/2025: We wanted a porcini-based lunch, and before leaving the province of Ragusa, we searched online and found Osteria Il Porcino. We arrived and after a few minutes of waiting, accompanied by a good glass of wine with my wife, they accompanied us to the table. We ordered some fresh porcini-based appetizers, first courses, and second courses. The girls in the dining room are very kind and the food is a delicacy. If they were to ask us how you feel after this experience? Our answer would be: We feel like PORCHIni!!

26/10/2025: Maximum disorganization, to be avoided at all costs. We arrived and, in complete confusion, the waiters told us to line up for a table, without maintaining order. In fact, people arrived and took their own tables, without respecting the queue, a total mess. Before leaving, we asked the waiters, and perhaps they got annoyed and rudely told us that we were properly in line.

12/11/2025: I ordered two pizzas, and one of them was burnt underneath. Nothing special; it wasn't the best I had in Sicily. I was misled by the reviews.

11/10/2025: A welcoming pizzeria. I chose the whole-wheat pizza with vegetables and a stuffed crust. I have to say it's quite good, with excellent toppings. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there's street parking near the pizzeria.

25/10/2025: Fantastic Sicilian fried pizza! The tiramisu was also delicious! Highly recommended!

16/10/2025: my husband and I had the BEST dinner here!! The pasta is as fresh as it gets, cooked perfectly, and the flavors in the sauces are unbelievable. Truly the best Carbonara either of us have ever had. This is a truly authentic trattoria owned by a wonderful family whose pride in their recipes shine through in the final product. We can’t wait to visit Bruno and Georgia again soon 💕

16/10/2025: We visited this trattoria for lunch and found the service courteous, friendly, and delicious. The first course, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, was superb, but perhaps lacked a little more salt. Obviously, this is my personal opinion, as the food was quite tasty, but the dish was definitely worth it. The rich and varied appetizer, accompanied by excellent local honey, added an extra touch. The kindness of Bruno, the owner, and Bruno, the waiter, truly made us very happy. We will definitely be back.

12/10/2025: Il Palmento is a very traditional and characteristic old building. In addition to a restaurant area, the pizzeria also offers rooms. The pizza is truly excellent, and the service and kindness of the owners were impeccable. My only complaint is about the rooms; the room we stayed in was spacious and very clean, comfortable, but the bathroom, while clean, was a bit dated and the shower was narrow. I would recommend updating the bathrooms, although I only saw the one in the room we were assigned, so I don't know if the others are different. Otherwise, the staff is truly hospitable and very friendly. There is ample free, reserved parking. We had a great stay. ☺️

18/10/2025: A nice stop for the production of honey and cosmetic products based on honey. I bought 2 soaps and some candies. There are different aromas of honey (I don't know if it was the natural taste).

19/10/2025: The service was excellent, the staff were friendly but not including coffee or liqueur in the price is ridiculous and miserable, even asking for the euro is ridiculous to say the least, so just to not have this kindness I personally won't return.

23/07/2025: This place is a stunning vinyard farm with beautiful architecture. The food in the restaurant truly deserves the Michelin star. BUT there are odd issue like the cushions on the pool lounge chairs all slide off (easy fix just add friction tape) and they don’t offer free water at the pool. Little things like they seem to try and charge for EVERYTHING make the value and beauty of this place decrease…

19/10/2025: It was my first time...and I will return...I found all the staff kind...the hotel was very clean...the food was good...and the view was wonderful...
