07/04/2024: The food was decent, though nothing particularly remarkable. Unfortunately we waited 40 minutes to place our order and another 40 minutes for a starter. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, people who arrived after us received their food before us. Maybe it was a matter of holidays and reduced staffing, but it should have been better planned out. I've never had to wait this long even for just an order before.

02/04/2024: This business has been open for 40 years and makes artisanal granitas. I'm from Naples and the owner recommended excellent mulberry granita. I also tried the amazing almond granita!! Don't just eat lemons and oranges but also listen to what the owners of the place recommend, thank you, we will definitely be back! PALERMO IN THE HEART!

The cassatelle (horse meatballs with pistachio) are a must try. When other places change, in prices, quality and products, Mantellina remains the same: Excellent!

23/03/2024: The two nights me and my mother were in Catania we had dinner here and it was a great choice! We tried pizza, salad, focaccia and desserts and liked everything. Personally, I like the idea with the chopping boards a lot, with a small pizza, cheese, olives and fries or different meats. The chef was especially friendly and welcoming. The "cherry on top" were the really affordable prices. If we ever come back to Catania we will come back here, too. Thank you to the P&W team for the good experience :)

01/04/2024: There's a lot of talk around town about their dedication and expertise in craft beers. I had, at the table, 2 medium black beers and 12 bruschettas with artichoke olive paté and dried tomatoes. Satisfied with both the food and the beers I consumed. Price €17.

21/02/2024: My boyfriend and I were eating a four course here. The food was delicious, everything tasted very unique. I love Sicilian food, yet often it's a bit too greasy and hard to digest. Here I didn't had this "heavy feeling" after. The waiter was very kind and asking us about allergies and intolerances, which I think is amazing. The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere with lots of pretty artwork. It's located in the beautiful old town of Caltagirone, very near to the big scales. I highly recommend it!

20/01/2024: We went to this restaurant for lunch today.... They welcomed us very well and also welcomed our 2 slightly bulky dogs.... Excellent and particular food, impeccable service, the waiter was very kind and very knowledgeable. .. Thank you

06/04/2024: Place located next to Villa Bellini in Catania, the room inside looks good visually but unfortunately if you look at the details you can see some flaws such as the tables which appear to be a little bare, dirty and with paper napkins, midges that buzzed around the room, the soap dispenser that hung in the bathroom (unacceptable given the cover prices), the menu offers quite varied meat and fish options as well as the wine list which appears to be well stocked. As soon as we were seated they brought us some very soft warm bread, I had lunch taking a starter from the chef which includes both cold and hot dishes, a generous portion and very good raw dishes especially the tuna which melted in the mouth, as a first course tagliolini with lobster (pasta portion a little poor), the pasta was cooked well but unfortunately it was very oily, almost watered down in the oil, on a positive note, the lobster which was abundant (half to be precise even if frozen in my opinion), as a second sfincione of fish sword, the swordfish was a little dry, a seasoning which in my opinion did not give flavor but made it a mush, all accompanied by a glass of white wine which was quite good and delicate. Everything could be there but at the right level and unfortunately everything didn't have the right price, 86.50 euros with 1.50 discount for a total of 85, too high a price for the quality of the food and the service in general, unacceptable to pay so much for having dirty tablecloths, disposable paper napkins, a knife with a bent tip (which was changed once I asked the waitress), unfortunately I wouldn't go back at this price, paying something less and increasing the quality of the products it would be competitive. Rejected.

05/04/2024: I was there with the guys from Swim Revolution before crossing the Strait. I had a very good time! Delicious dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and impeccable presentation. The always courteous staff and the welcoming atmosphere make it a great choice!

27/04/2024: I only give 5 stars because there are no more, we were welcomed as if we were friends, the dishes were explained to us one by one, with even a hint of the recipe, in practice they made us "live" the real traditional Sicilian cuisine, the dishes were simply amazing, we rediscovered flavors from childhood, tastes and aromas that our grandmothers made us try on Sundays, the bill more than commensurate with what we ate. And at the end, as a treat, a splendid and engaging tour of the Randazzo districts, with absolutely non-didactic explanations of the history of the city, thanks to you and in particular to Davide

17/03/2024: Infinite choice of wines, renowned labels and you can find everything and the quality is excellent. Platters of cured meats and various delicious local delicacies accompany the wine in an impeccable way. Very nice owner. Honest prices.
