22/11/2023: The swordfish was cooked perfectly, as was the tuna. Simple, refined and tasty dishes. The little musical atmosphere creates a romantic atmosphere, especially since the restaurant is located on the beach. I recommend.

28/10/2023: Oveja Negra è un ristorante/pizzeria situato sul lungomare di Porto Empedocle con i tavoli praticamente sulla spiaggia. Ci siamo andati perché consigliati dalla proprietaria della casa che avevamo preso in affitto, ubicata a poche centinaia di metri dal locale e dico subito che ci siamo trovati talmente bene che siamo ritornati anche la sera successiva e lo avremmo fatto anche una terza volta se il mercoledì non fosse stato giorno di chiusura. Vista la collocazione del ristorante è ovvio che la cucina sia basata quasi totalmente su piatti di pesce che da queste parti è praticamente sempre freschissimo. Buona la “mise en place” che giustifica pienamente i 2 euro di coperto e molto simpatici e cordiali i camerieri che ci hanno servito. La prima sera, in quattro abbiamo preso 2 ottime grigliate di pesce, 1 antipasto di mare freddo (piuttosto classico), una impepata di cozze nella versione “rossa” con pomodoro, una porzione di crocchette di patate e un’insalata mista. ¾ di un discreto vino bianco fermo “della casa”, 2 litri di acqua minerale e un paio di caffè di cui non c’è traccia sul conto. Il tutto, molto buono, per la modica cifra di 94 euro, praticamente meno di 24 euro a testa, praticamente, alla mia latitudine, l’equivalente di una pizza, birra e caffè. La seconda sera, consigliato dal cameriere ho preso un antipasto “Golden”, praticamente il “riassunto” di quasi tutti i piatti proposti dal locale. Una cosuccia composta da più o meno 18 “assaggi” diversi che avrebbe tranquillamente sfamato due persone “normali”, davvero eccellente ma non “leggerissimo” al quale ho avuto il coraggio di abbinare anche un “fritto misto di verdure” (non fatelo!). Gli altri commensali hanno ordinato un antipasto di affumicati misti (salmone, spada, tonno) su un letto di insalata mista, una “paglia e fieno alla cardinale” (una specie di “scoglio” con l’aggiunta di gamberoni e pistacchi) e, inspegabilmente, una bistecca di Angus alla griglia con patatine fritte che, c’era da aspettarselo in quel contesto, non ha per nulla incontrato il favore di chi l’ha ordinata (parrebbe sia risultata piuttosto coriacea). Un litro del buon vino bianco della casa, tre litri di acqua minerale e, ancora una volta, due “deca” offerti. Una particolare menzione all’ottimo pane “casereccio”. Spesa totale (in quattro) 108 euro. Cinque stelle meritatissime per il rapporto qualità/prezzo in generale ma anche per la simpatia e l’efficienza del personale. Consiglatissimo.

14/10/2023: I don't recommend it, we ordered 3 beers and 1 water and it was €20! Not friendly towards immigrants, hot place and staff are slow to serve.

20/03/2024: Food was great, service as well. I highly recommend the Caponata, altough it's an apetizer (comes with fresh crunchy bread), if you are after a smaller portion, you won't leave hungry. Stopping here is likely not a decision you will regret.

01/04/2024: Very good everything. I took just one pizza and just one caponata for two people and couldn't finish it all. (But we took it home). Really good, plentiful and excellent.

30/03/2024: Quiet little place, welcoming on the side of the fireplace... If lit, the rest of the room is a little chilly, good food, excellent pizza, I highly recommend!!!

04/09/2023: Huge beach, with beautiful sand. Very long, clean water, shallow for several metres. A couple of factories but 90% are free. Practically empty Monday in September. Spectacular sunset.

03/09/2023: Wide beach in Porto Empedocle. It is a free beach among the beaches from which you can stock up on drinks and more. Behind there are a couple of long streets with numerous parking spaces (for a fee). The sea is crystal clear and the water tends to get deeper quite far away.

30/10/2023: Abbiamo mangiato bene, ma questa volta non all’altezza della fama del locale che frequentiamo da anni. Il proprietario Sig. Rino è stato comunque gentilissimo e cordiale.

26/02/2024: Tasty food, the most delicious spaghetti alle vongole I've tried in Italy so far. The waiter doesn't make you feel completely comfortable, but he is friendly.
