25/08/2024: Finally, after many years of coming to this island, we made a reservation. A couple of people found out about our reservation and dissuaded us from going. The place is an outdoor area on the promenade, very nice and well looked after. The staff were kind and attentive. The tuna tartare wasn't bad, very delicate, it was really a taste. I must say that the fried food was the worst I have ever eaten in my life, including fried foods from village festivals. Fried in batter which took away the flavor of the fish, especially very greasy, when you pressed it with a fork oil came out. Fried food which was immediately difficult to digest was repeated throughout the night. From such a renowned restaurant, with higher prices than others, I expected much more. Last evening of holidays thought to end with a bang, instead with huge disappointment. After a few days, out of curiosity I decide to read the reviews of the restaurant (something I hadn't done before, otherwise...) and I notice that the owner always reiterates the negative reviews (different) in an annoyed tone. Many reiterate that the review tells about the customer and not about the restaurant. Mr A. Pomata, I believe that you should make virtue of these reviews, from the negative reviews you can take inspiration to improve.

17/08/2024: Small and poorly maintained place. After ordering half a pig (2 kilos with head included, cooked in an electric oven) and two portions of tuna and onions we paid 139 euros. In Carloforte, 4 people pay the same amount at a restaurant served and revered. I would like to know if a resident would ever pay the same amount. I have doubts, be careful and ask the price before ordering.

16/06/2024: Delicious food and more....The owner Veronica is a special, delightful, attentive and helpful person who goes out of her way to please you. For us it made the visit to Carloforte even more pleasant. I am writing this review after having enjoyed the following delicacies with my wife: octopus with cherry tomatoes, vegetable couscous, tuna meatballs, parmigiana and tuna caponata. Excellent quality-price relation.

20/08/2024: Chosen more out of desperation and tiredness than anything else, the only one available, he did not disappoint. Tasty and fresh dishes, pleasantly different from the usual ones we are used to in Sardinia. Definitely familiar environment, "Ligurian" kindness 😄. Adequate or perhaps even low bill for the fish standards of the rest of Sardinia.

06/08/2024: The raw fish is absolutely not up to the price expectations, for €35 we are served an oyster, two prawns and 10 raw limpets. Once we complained about the price and what we were served, apart from nods of agreement, we were given no explanation or incentive to return to do better. After a splendid day at the beach, a terrible end to the day leaves a serious shame on the island. Choose something less expensive and more commercial and perhaps you will do better.

16/11/2023: The restaurant is run by a real crook. A first-rate bullshitter. Honestly the food is quite good, but the portion for a primo piatto of pasta at 18€ is ridiculous. The big blow was a medium-sized fish without accompaniment which I estimate at 400-500g max was supposedly weighed at 600g and charged €48. We got out at €98 for 2 people, the most expensive restaurant we had in Sardinia and we were still hungry afterwards. The chef and manager came to see us a few times during the meal, but at the end of the meal his waiter came to bring us the extremely high bill and immediately entered the amount on the card machine to put pressure on us. Didn't see the manager again who hid in his kitchen. I strongly advise against it. At this price, go to a real gastronomic restaurant like the Ristorante da Andrea al Cavallera or the Sandolo.

18/10/2023: I'm sorry I wasn't able to try the dishes as they are in the photo, unfortunately the only one I wanted to eat a few evenings ago (the fregola) was small in quantity, too soupy for the paltry content of fregola and fish and not very tasty. 22 euros for a dish plus 3 euros cover charge each (without even a paper placemat) little bread and two miserable triangles of carasau bread left us hungry... It's It was an expensive expense for a disappointing dinner. g.z.

06/08/2024: Mandatory stop in the heart of Carloforte. Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable room with outdoor tables for a pleasant stop. Absolutely recommended

13/08/2024: Die Eiscreme war sehr gut und super schön zubereitet, zwar mussten wir eine Weile lang warten, aber es lohnte sich. Der Service war auch äusserst freundlich zu uns, obwohl es eine Sprachbarrieren gab.

04/08/2024: Recommended ice cream bar. Attentive and kind staff, always with a smile (which is not easy given the attitude of some customers). Customer care is essential in a business located in a marina. Kudos to the management!

22/08/2024: I buoni cocktail sono stati rovinati dalla completa incapacità di gestione dei tavoli da parte dei camerieri! In particolare è la maleducazione e l’incapacità di ricevere gli ospiti! I cameriere capo in particolare ha dimostrato di essere totalmente incapace. Mi spiace per la proprietà!

20/08/2024: Ieri 19 agosto, ci siamo seduti in tre per un aperitivo alle 18. Abbiamo aspettato almeno 15 minuti perché il cameriere prendesse la nostra ordinazione. Un altro quarto d’ora prima che arrivasse il bere e poi altrettanta attesa prima che arrivasse il MISERO tagliere ma solo dopo varie sollecitazioni. Alla mia richiesta di un piattino per togliere il ghiaccio dal mio cocktail, mi viene in prima battuta rifiutato e, solo dopo insistenza, mi viene poi portato in modo abbastanza scortese. Tavoli di metallo verniciati in buona parte scrostati, peraltro non puliti. Pessima esperienza da non ripetere!

08/02/2024: Leggendo le tante recensioni negative è la prima cosa che mi viene di pensare.Siamo arrivati in questo locale per puro caso, prendendo un caffè, buonissimo peraltro, una mattina prima di recarsi al mare.L'ultima sera prima della partenza in cerca di un locale, dopo aver preso un paio di fregature in zona ,ci ricordiamo del caffè e della buona impressione avuta conversando.Prenotiamo, ci riceve il figlio della signora, vino un buon vermentino, antipasti misti, primi linguine e paccheri, secondo fritto e grigliata, abbiamo cancellato una portata ordinata perche' eravamo strapieni, non succede spesso ultimamente, senza problemi è stata tolta dal conto.Tutto buono, ottimi i primi ,asciutto il fritto,gli antipasti abbondanti da guardarsi negli occhi stupiti.Conto 135 euro in quattro,abbiamo lasciato dieci euro di mancia alla ragazza ,il proprietario ha offerto due mirto.esci col sorriso.Sarà fortuna ma è pura verità.Sottolineo che a Carloforte in due ristoranti su quattro sere , senza fare il nome, hanno sbagliato il conto o le classiche cose che ti propongono fuori menù raddoppiate .

19/08/2024: Terrible food. Chips taken from the bag and refried accompanied by a microscopic hamburger that tasted like something dead. Poor and unfriendly service. Not recommended.
