13/06/2026: Shhh, don't tell anyone, but the food is really top-notch. The service does its best, though it's a bit typically Italian. No, that's not possible, they arrive sooner than, no way, fine, just turn your chair a bit for the view.
In the end, it worked out fine though; they were even allowed to put Parmesan on the pasta with prawns and mussels. 😜
Pasta al olio (not on the menu) with the steak was also possible.
Be sure to order the recommended local wine with the dishes; they are absolutely fine.
A lovely stopover on our journey 'off the highway'. The drive there from the south is a treat in itself.
02/06/2026: Today we visited the San Nicolò restaurant in Buggerru for the first time! The service was attentive, kind, and always present without ever being intrusive.
The cuisine deserves special praise. Every dish was meticulously crafted, with balanced and surprising flavors. The grilled calamari accompanied by a simply spectacular pepper cream sauce was unforgettable, perfectly enhancing the dish. The tiramisu 2.0: a true marvel for the palate, original, refined, and delicious.
Congratulations to the entire staff for the passion and quality they convey. A special thanks to Simone, who, from the kitchen, has created authentic masterpieces. Talent, research, and a love for good food are evident in every course. 🤍
