28/05/2025: Some evenings have the taste of truth. Yesterday, in Nardò, I found it again. Antica Macelleria Fai is not just a restaurant. It is a place where time slows down and with it the heart. A place that does not shout its excellence, but whispers it, as authentic things do. Here the flavors are not reinvented, they are remembered. And they remind us who we are. I come from Bergamo and every time I return to the family home, this place is a must. A return. A hug. The beginning is light, almost deceptive: mozzarella fresh like summer mornings, a savory breakfast — signed Franci — with stuffed croissants and a cap of parmesan fondue that seems more like a poetic than culinary invention, the inevitable parmigiana, stuffed paccheri suggested by the owner that were out of this world. We got lost in the menu, as one does on the best trips. And we leave only to give in, without regret, to three desserts. There should have been two, but gluttony knows no numbers when the soul is happy. Francesca — the hostess — is a feline presence. She observes you, scrutinizes you, weighs you. Then she surprises you. She remembers us, and the wine we had loved: Primitivo Cubardi Schola Sarmenti, a rough caress, warm like the red earth under the sun. Suddenly a cuddle: A slice of fig and almond tart — dry and sweet flavor at the same time, like childhood. But the real masterstroke comes at the end: a bitter. But not a digestive. A ritual. A memory poured into the glass. A liquid emotion that took the voice and left it elsewhere, for a moment. I will say no more. The truest experiences are not told in full. They are lived. It's a mortal sin not to pass by here, if you're in the area. It's unforgivable not to return, if you've already been there.

10/05/2025: My wife and I had dinner in this fantastic butcher's shop if it can be defined as such as we found research into the creativity of the dishes and the quality of the raw materials which favorably and undoubtedly amazed us. The owner is fantastic as she created wonderful unique dishes…….we will absolutely return

31/05/2025: Place not suitable for vegetarians/vegans. Entered with enthusiasm, left with disappointment. I read "100% vegan line" and then I discover that the vegan burgers are cooked on the same plate as the meat. No, it's not a joke. I think it's right to point out that offering a vegan line also implies avoiding contamination, otherwise we can't talk about truly vegan dishes. It's a question of respect for those who have chosen a vegan lifestyle for ethical, environmental or health reasons.

01/05/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante la nostra prima sera a Nardò. Il nostro nucleo è composto da 6 adulti e 4 bambini. Parto dal locale dicendo che è un ambiente che mette sin da subito a proprio agio tra il bianco della pietra risaltano colori forti e fantasie di suppellettili e complementi di arredo che trasmettono allegria. Passo alle pietanze. Noi abbiamo preso tutto, dagli antipasti ai secondi, a base di pesce ed un antipasto misto. È stato veramente tutto eccezionale dalla freschezza della materia prima alla trasformazione.. buonissimo davvero! Il vino consigliatoci molto buono. Il personale è celere e disponibile. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Credo che chi decide di visitare Nardò e le zone limitrofe almeno una volta deve provare questa cucina. Noi abbiamo veramente passato una serata distensiva e soddisfacente. Grazie per come svolgete il vostro lavoro e lo dico con la massima riconoscenza onorando proprio la giornata di oggi 1 maggio.. 01/05/2025: Cena in famiglia, prenotato così spassionatamente, senza molte aspettative, ed ecco la sorpresa. Premetto che eravamo in 10, di cui 4 bambini. Cena eccellente, abbiamo preso diversi tipi di antipasti tutti prodotti freschi e sfiziosi (tartare di gamberi, cozze gratinate, fritto della tradizione, polpettine di polpo). Abbiamo assaggiato poi due primi, gnocchi con crema di zucchine, cozze gamberi e un pasta fresca con i ceci, e anche qui nessuna delusione buonissimi entrambi anzi con la voglia di rimangiarli. Come secondo due fritti di calamari e gamberi vermanete ben fatti, un fritto non pesante e prodotti freschissimi. Ovviamente non è mancato il vino. La gentilezza della proprietaria ha fatto da ciliegina. Il locale è carinissimo, un po nascosto, ma vale la pena andarci.

27/05/2025: We went to this pizzeria during the pizza tour and all in all it was a good experience. I gave it four stars and not five for two reasons that can be used as suggestions: some pizzas had the edge partly burnt with the presence of blackened parts so I preferred them slightly less cooked while at the time of payment it would be better to make separate bills instead of all one bill divided between the participants. Apart from these suggestions the service is fine.

22/04/2025: We went to this place for Easter Monday and immediately felt welcome, even with our dog in tow. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, making the experience even more pleasant. The food was really excellent, the portions generous and the atmosphere welcoming. A simple, authentic place, where we will gladly return.

11/05/2025: Food is super great it was fresh ingredients . The service was very friendly and fast. The atmosphere is breathtaking the beach view and it’s clean sorrounding! Highly recommended for a chilling afternoon lunch.

28/03/2025: Poor service to say the least: women's party in chaos, seats all next to each other; pizza below expectations: cold chips on top, an hour and a half of waiting, fried chips, also cold for the modest sum of €7. Never again.
