29/12/2025: We had a wonderful time at this Osteria. The service is excellent, with various thoughtful touches that are always appreciated: complimentary bruschetta, a smile, and attentive service. The food is generally good, although it's a shame the grilled vegetables were frozen. Prices are quite low, even very low when you look at the wine list. There's a large parking lot next to the restaurant.

28/01/2026: It was a surprise to find this pizzeria in San Giovanni Rotondo. It preserves both the traditional and the modern. Chef Orazio is an excellent host. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. The menu is dedicated to pizza and includes some appetizers. We tried the potato croquette (which was delicious). For the main course, my husband ordered the traditional Margherita, and I tried something new… Giallo Parma. I was very surprised by the pizza I ordered… It was something new that I haven't tried anywhere else, but the combination was PERFECT. The sauce was completely different; visually, it's not a traditional pizza, but everything goes very well with the cheese and the ham (Parma ham). The Margherita pizza was very good; the flavor, the sauce, and the fresh mozzarella cheese were all perfectly combined. As Chef Orazio says, what is made with love and dedication turns out well. I want to congratulate him through this medium. Molto bene! 🙌🏻

But staying in the "La Solaria" apartment, just steps from the Padre Pio Shrine, with every comfort, complete with everything you need and a warm welcome, and right in the heart of the wonders of San Giovanni Rotondo, felt like we were living for three days, in the warmth of our own home. The kindness, professionalism, humility, and so much more of Mr. Matteo, his children, his father, his brother, his sister, and all the staff—I'd say we felt like family.
