24/03/2026: Highly recommended. Welcoming, tidy, and clean atmosphere. Impeccable restrooms. Ample outdoor parking. Very good food. Polite and cheerful staff. Just steps from the sanctuary. This is the second time I've had lunch there, and I'd gladly return.

04/04/2026: It was on our list of places to visit, to try, and we finally went. In my opinion, it's a wine bar with a kitchen, serving good, high-quality osteria-style cuisine. They have a large selection of wines at fair prices. The simple dishes are traditional from Puglia and Gargano. We didn't try the meat, but they did try the cod in five different versions, all excellent. The traditional country appetizers were good. The EVO oil is locally produced, and you can taste it. A very welcoming place in the historic part of town; you can't access it by car, only on foot. A very good experience, definitely worth trying again. I personally found the chickpea and turnip hummus dish very good. Very well balanced.
22/02/2026: If you're looking for the perfect combination of rustic atmosphere and gastronomic excellence, Opuswine is a must-visit. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the warmth of the exposed stone walls and the kindness of the owner. The dishes are delicious, crafted with excellent quality ingredients and respect for tradition, an explosion of authentic flavors. For lovers of fine wine, the selection is very interesting.
A place where time seems to stand still, the wine flows generously, and the food warms the heart. Attentive service, smiling and never intrusive.

02/05/2026: Elegant and welcoming. Extremely courteous and attentive staff. Selected ingredients and dishes presented with understated elegance. Good wine selection. Good value. Worth a visit. I'll be returning in May 2026: I can only confirm the excellent experience I mentioned previously. I'd also like to add that the chef constantly offers new dishes, all of which are top-notch. Congratulations!
01/05/2026: A pleasant discovery in San Giovanni Rotondo. Quality cuisine, impeccable service, especially the banter between me and the Juventus fan at the tables. Grandma's tiramisu was incredibly delicious. Highly recommended restaurant, see you next time.

The first courses are good, but neither praise nor infamy.

11/05/2026: Sale e Pepe Restaurant is one of those quiet restaurants where service is warm and friendly; it's definitely a good choice for those seeking a quiet meal. The menu balances traditional and innovative, offering traditional dishes adapted to the concept of a fine-dining restaurant. The restaurant also offers a daily menu (with two dishes) to offer regulars a bit of novelty and variety. The service is meticulously maintained by the waiters, especially the Maître d', who resolves any issues with extreme professionalism and speed.
09/05/2026: I had an appetizer of 6 mozzarella balls with eggplant and shrimp tartare: microscopic, frozen mozzarella balls, no discernible flavor. The first course was bavette with mullet bottarga: the pasta was very good, but the sauce was undetectable. The dessert was: cream puffs with dark chocolate ganache; on the plate, a ball of shortcrust pastry covered in icing... this too was tasteless.
In short, a pretentious, expensive place, with food far below the price and expectations!

Located 50 meters from the new Padre Pio Church, you can park your car in the restaurant parking lot. Recommended.
29/12/2025: I have been to this restaurant twice already and this was the third, I have to say that the food was good, the only thing was the cold pork, the place was really beautiful with the backdrop of the new church of Padre Pio, overall it was a good experience
