20/11/2025: A hidden gem, but worth a visit for the delicacies they prepare and the stunning location overlooking the sea. The owner, Mr. Onofrio, is very friendly, as is all his staff, but the best and most important thing is enjoying what he offers, such as the fish chops, which I've never had before but are exceptional, part of the appetizer, and the carefully prepared first courses, all made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it and suggest you let Mr. Onofrio help you choose what to order, as we did. Congratulations to everyone, and see you next time.

01/11/2025: Elegant and clean restaurant with a seafront terrace. We ordered Catalan-style shrimp appetizer, a trio of raw fish, spaghetti with clams and bottarga, and paccheri with scampi and stracciata. Dessert was a coffee treat, reasonably priced. The fish was incredibly fresh.

27/12/2025: We had a wonderful three hour lunch at Il Grottone. The fresh seafood platter and the prawn tartare were superb. We ordered two type of seafood pasta, both amazing. Followed by a seabream with grilled vegetables. We couldn't stop eating, so we also ordered a grilled octopus. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!!

08/01/2026: I've been to Fcazz e Birr in Polignano several times, and I always stop by every time I'm in town because it's the perfect place to grab a quick bite without wasting time. The place is casual, very lively, and typical of Apulian street food. There are only a few tables outside, so it can be difficult to find a seat, especially during busy periods like summer, but the atmosphere remains pleasant and lively. The real highlight is undoubtedly the focaccia barese: the dough is soft, slightly crunchy on the outside, and soft and fragrant on the inside, with that authentic flavor of Apulian extra virgin olive oil that instantly makes your mouth water. It's filled with fresh, simple yet flavorful ingredients, and every bite gives you that typical local specialty experience, perfect with a cold beer or while strolling through Polignano's alleys. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready to serve you quickly and with a smile. Waiting times are never long, even when the place is crowded, and the service manages the high influx of customers well, without making anyone feel neglected. The prices are reasonable, fair for the quality offered, and absolutely affordable: you can enjoy an excellent panzerotto or focaccia and a beer without spending too much. In short, Fcazz e Birr is the ideal place for those who want to enjoy authentic focaccia from Bari in a casual, quick, and friendly way, perfect for a snack, a break during a stroll, or a summer evening in Polignano. I will definitely return every time I pass by and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Apulian street food experience.

09/03/2026: Hands down the best gelato I had so far during my trip down the South of Italy. Nice owner, insanely delicious gelato, creamy, thick and packed with a strong flavour. You definitely have to try it when you’re in Polignano!

08/02/2026: Undoubtedly quality ice cream... I bought a simple cup with 2 flavors... pistachio and chocolate... 4 euros!!!... smiles not even when paid, Star's happiness behind the counter is practically a utopia..!!!... however, at the same time, at least he warned us that the "Pistachio" is more expensive... I sincerely hope that the finance company drops by and that he doesn't have heirs willing to pass on the business... retro troglodytes!!!!

Always top-notch, constantly evolving without compromising the quality and elegance that have always distinguished it. Top-quality ingredients, exquisite food, and impeccable service. Highly recommended, also for the superb panoramic view.

01/03/2026: The starter was fine, but that’s where it ended. The main course was completely bland and tasteless, and there was even a hair in my food. On top of that, people who came after us got their meals before we did. For the price they’re charging, this was absolutely not worth it. Totally disappointing.
