27/12/2025: We had a wonderful three hour lunch at Il Grottone. The fresh seafood platter and the prawn tartare were superb. We ordered two type of seafood pasta, both amazing. Followed by a seabream with grilled vegetables. We couldn't stop eating, so we also ordered a grilled octopus. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!!

The pizza is undoubtedly the highlight: the dough is light and easy to digest, topped with top-quality ingredients that are clearly distinguishable from the first bite. You can sense a careful selection of ingredients, never banal and extremely fresh. The location immediately strikes you with its impeccable order and cleanliness, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere. Special mention goes to the pizza chef: his ability to interact with customers made the difference; he was friendly, passionate, and eager to explain his culinary choices. The service was quick and efficient, managed by attentive but never intrusive staff. Finally, the quality-price ratio is excellent: rarely do you find such high quality at such fair prices.

Always top-notch, constantly evolving without compromising the quality and elegance that have always distinguished it. Top-quality ingredients, exquisite food, and impeccable service. 14/04/2026: We had a snack here at midday and the place was perfect. Loved the salmon sandwich and the chocolate icecream. I hear the coffee was great, too. The dubai icecream was trying too hard per my taste.

13/04/2026: Nice caffè, but very unpleasant service. We obviously bothered them with our presence. We were not offered any menu, after asking the lady brought it to us with a very annoyed look on her face. I got something completely different than what I ordered. Anyway, I have to praise the coffee, it was excellent and the dessert, which I did not order, but received, was also very tasty.

08/01/2026: I've been to Fcazz e Birr in Polignano several times, and I always stop by every time I'm in town because it's the perfect place to grab a quick bite without wasting time. The place is casual, very lively, and typical of Apulian street food. There are only a few tables outside, so it can be difficult to find a seat, especially during busy periods like summer, but the atmosphere remains pleasant and lively. The real highlight is undoubtedly the focaccia barese: the dough is soft, slightly crunchy on the outside, and soft and fragrant on the inside, with that authentic flavor of Apulian extra virgin olive oil that instantly makes your mouth water. It's filled with fresh, simple yet flavorful ingredients, and every bite gives you that typical local specialty experience, perfect with a cold beer or while strolling through Polignano's alleys. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready to serve you quickly and with a smile. Waiting times are never long, even when the place is crowded, and the service manages the high influx of customers well, without making anyone feel neglected. The prices are reasonable, fair for the quality offered, and absolutely affordable: you can enjoy an excellent panzerotto or focaccia and a beer without spending too much. In short, Fcazz e Birr is the ideal place for those who want to enjoy authentic focaccia from Bari in a casual, quick, and friendly way, perfect for a snack, a break during a stroll, or a summer evening in Polignano. I will definitely return every time I pass by and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Apulian street food experience.

18/04/2026: Thanks to Map, I found a place near the sea. We were immediately transported to an atmosphere of times gone by. The terrace was simple but had a traditional feel, with wooden pergolas and reeds providing shade and a sea breeze. The food was excellent, with seafood in every dish, recommended by the owner, a kind-hearted man who enjoys life by hosting guests in this corner of the Apulian coast. I'd return 10,000 times over!

08/04/2026: I wouldn't have thought you could eat bad pizza in Italy, but you can :( I wanted to try the orecchiette pasta - it was awful, the spinach was tasteless, and the plate was full of water. My husband ordered carbonara - it's more like pasta with scrambled eggs. Cool name, nice place, but I don't recommend the food.

05/04/2026: I read the reviews and thought this place would be terrible, but it turned out to be really tasty. The lasagna was good, but there was no taste of béchamel sauce, and the seafood pasta was average because there wasn't much fruit, but it was tasty. The service was very polite and friendly, and we managed to communicate in English. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our meals, but unfortunately, the toilet was... she went into the restroom, but after a while, I decided not to use it because the door wouldn't close, there was a large gap, and there was no toilet seat. Overall, I highly recommend it for a quick dinner in Italy.
