21/02/2026: Disclaimer: I've never been their guest, and I couldn't.
I called, they rejected my call and told me to message them on Facebook.
I asked to make a reservation and they told me they'd let me know the next day. Meanwhile, they asked me if I was already a customer and told me they offer a set menu. I replied verbatim: "No problem."
The next day, they sent me the confirmation, which, unfortunately, I didn't see right away due to work. As soon as I read it, I replied and asked for confirmation of the reservation, but they told me that, unfortunately, they'd already booked the table a few hours earlier. Total disappointment, and the contact was cancelled!

10/05/2026: A very nice place in the historic center of Gioia.
The staff was really friendly, both in welcoming us and in offering recommendations.
We chose two different platters, which were generous, and both tigelle and gnocchi fritti were plentiful. They also offer five different sauces.
Everything was really good!
09/04/2026: We went to Cabó and had a truly positive experience. The cured meats were delicious and fresh, of excellent quality, and the tigelle were simply wonderful, soft and flavorful, perfect with the cured meats.
You can taste the attention to the ingredients and the passion in carefully preparing everything.
The only small flaw is the price, slightly higher than we expected, but overall, it's a place I absolutely recommend.

05/11/2025: What better place to celebrate an anniversary than Piano-Sushi Italiano, a perfect blend of Japanese and Italian cuisine. The stone structure pairs perfectly with the romantic atmosphere created by soft lighting and Italian music in the background. The service is excellent; the waiters are very kind and attentive; the idea of offering a delicious welcome drink, which is alcoholic but very light, made in-house, is excellent. The menu offers a wide selection of Japanese-Italian dishes made with excellent ingredients and perfect pairings, which can be paired with unique cocktails served in an equally unique way. The price is slightly high, but the excellent ingredients justify it. I recommend trying this experience, though.

12/10/2025: A huge disappointment. We've been going to this place for years, but last Saturday's experience left us very disappointed...
Starting with the service, where once the fries arrived, we had to ask for our dishes much later because there was no one in the dining room looking out.
When we ordered, when we asked if there were any other beers, we were told they only had the ones on the board. However, only at the end, when we went to pay, did we notice there was a fridge full of beers we also wanted to try...
In short, unfortunately, my complaint is simply about the service. The sandwiches are still good, but perhaps a little more attention would have been better.

26/04/2026: We called on a Saturday evening, there were 20 of us, and they still found seats for us. We had to wait a bit when we arrived, but that's okay.
The service was very quick, and the pizzas arrived quickly.
They let you choose whether you wanted the Neapolitan or Bari-style pizza, and I have to say it was pretty good anyway.
The menu pairings were perhaps a little odd, but the ingredients were good.
I had the pizza with finocchiona, which, with the yellow cherry tomatoes, completely covered the flavor. I also tried the one with sage, and unfortunately, the burrata covered everything underneath.
25/04/2026: Customer service needs improvement. Waiters quickly clear dishes so they can finish the next reservation. Total confusion in the dining room, with people having to shout to talk to other diners at their table.

09/06/2026: I've been here a few times and always love coming back. The atmosphere is lovely, and the menu is rich and tasty. You can choose from multi-grain doughs and even pizza without mozzarella, which is useful for those who prefer to avoid it. It's very tasty. The staff is very friendly, as is the management, who takes great care in ensuring the service and enjoyment of the meals.
19/05/2026: I went to Castello with my family and friends three times while we were in Gioia. Every time we were well received, with the waitress patiently allowing us to wait while we chose our food. The pizzas were wonderful, quick, and very well made. Dinner was also great the next day. Nothing to complain about. A great addition to the city of Gioia del Colle. I recommend a visit to anyone who has the opportunity!

01/02/2026: The atmosphere is a bit spartan, but you're eating in a typical Apulian farmhouse, after all everything is good and locally sourced. I recommend you stop by to eat locally sourced food and taste typical Apulian products.

03/05/2026: It appears to be a self-service canteen equipped for takeout, with a wide selection of food on display and ready-to-eat dishes. However, if you decide to dine in, they have very nice internal dining rooms where you can order from the restaurant menu, and everything is served with table service, including plates, cutlery, and glasses. I enjoyed a draft beer in a mug for lunch. It seems undecided about a high-impact canteen-style diner, but it has all the makings of a good-quality restaurant.
I think for those who, like us, are passing through to visit the beautiful castle museum, this is an ideal place for an excellent value lunch.
13/04/2026: Really good pizza, I even ate the crispy crust, excellent service and nice atmosphere.
