27/01/2026: This is our second time eating here. Tonight we stopped for dinner, and I have to say that, besides everyone being very friendly, the place is very cute, and the food is excellent. Tonight, in addition to the obligatory charcuterie board, which is spectacular and a must-have, we wanted to try the pizza. We had the daily special, with fiordilatte, crispy bacon, leek cream, and caramelized onion, and the other with finocchiona and pecorino cheese, both truly excellent. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, the crispiness of the pizza. Highly recommended. They also do takeout, which is super convenient. So if you come to Rapolano, go eat here. The price is average.

20/04/2026: terrible experience and service. I ordered a decaf coffee because I cannot have any caffeine. I asked the waitress two time specifically if it was decaf, he said it was…. and it was not decaf! I had a terrible reaction throwing up and ruined the rest of my day, just because they were careless… imagine if i were allergic… go to any of the other bars.

04/06/2026: The food was excellent, but unfortunately the service timing let the experience down. For the starters, all dishes arrived together as expected. However, when it came to the main course, the steaks were served well before the side dishes. In fact, two of us had finished our steaks before the sides even arrived. I hoped this was just a one-off mistake, but the same issue happened with dessert. The three of us ordered two tiramisus and one coffee with biscuits. The coffee and biscuits arrived 7–10 minutes before the tiramisus, meaning one person had effectively finished their dessert before the rest of the table had even been served. These kinds of service delays disrupt the flow of a meal and take away from the shared dining experience. The staff were very apologetic, which was appreciated, but consistently poor timing between dishes is what prevents this restaurant from being a 5-star experience. The food itself was excellent, but the kitchen and service coordination needs improvement.

08/02/2026: Magnificent! It's a 1861 villa, very tastefully refurbished in c. 2023 into a chic hotel. We were 2 adults and 2 small children. Loved our stay there, and the cons noted below are very minor. Beautiful place! PROS + Location. It's only 20min away from Alagna, and there are circa 15 parking spaces at the entrance to the Villa. + Standard of finishes and the interior decor. This place just looks amazing. It's superbly renovated and very tastefully decorated. + Well equipped. Couldn't really ask for more. (Maybe bigger mugs would be nice to have some tea) + Warm inside. We were here in the winter, it was -5 outside, and 22 inside. + The children playroom - great feature. Most of toys are for children aged 1 to 5, which suited us perfectly. + The library / reading room. Two standing shelves full of books, an eclectic selection of everything. 90% of books in Italian, with some 5 volumes in English and the rest in German. + Quiet. Even though our room was facing the main road, there wasn't any traffic during the night that might bring any noise. + Gigantic super-king size bed, double-sized sleeping sofa, and a sitting sofa in the kitchen. + Lift providing access to all floors. + Amazing panoramic view from our apartment, overlooking the road below, and the mountains all around. CONS - We couldn't give our kids a bath, as the shower didn't have a hand-held shower head, only the high level one. We were there only for 3 nights so it wasn't the end of the world though. - Just barely enough supplies, with no kitchen paper towels, just one washing machine tablet. - Not entirely child-proof. Historical chest of drawers beneath the windows are surely gorgeous, but our kids kept on crawling onto them and tried to open the windows. - Difficult and steep entrance road from the main road.

17/09/2025: I stayed in this villa in the early 1960s, during the summer when it was a summer camp for children from the Biella area. I only have a few very pleasant memories, both of the structure and of the walks in the surrounding area. And also of the delicious baked stuffed onions they sometimes served with meals.

28/05/2026: Simple atmosphere with an equally simple menu, but well-prepared dishes, including delicious meat and wild boar ragù. Fair prices. P.S.: The perfect location is Via Bonci, parallel to Via S. Gervasio.

02/06/2026: A beautiful place where we can eat pizza, fish, and meat. It's suitable for all tastes. We dined on the terrace veranda, which is very welcoming. Fast and impeccable service, attentive and friendly staff. We had very good gluten-free pizzas, with a soft dough, including the crust. I personally prefer a thin pizza, but it's still good. Excellent gluten-free draft beer. The restaurant is located on the first floor but accessible to all with an elevator. Dogs are welcome, and there's plenty of parking. Congratulations! Next time I want to try the fish because the aroma was amazing.

03/05/2026: Terrible experience overall, both in terms of quality and service, with an ignorant and rude owner. Frozen, almost mummified croissants were displayed for €1.40 each. We ordered two, plus a cappuccino and a coffee. I'm attaching a receipt to prove the price increase at the register, justified by the "table service." The insult? We brought everything to our table ourselves, and eating at the counter is impossible. They deserve to close down, for the "service" they provide to their unfortunate customers and for the damage they've done to Italian restaurants. P.S. In a REAL pastry shop just a few steps away, excellent breakfast at a fair price!
