18/08/2025: Prices are higher than stated in other reviews. Service was friendly and fast, location was very good, and the view of the entire square was beautiful. Pizza was good, but too much cheese. Actually, only a 3-star rating because the prices are too high and they automatically charge a 10% "service fee." Too bad, once, never again.

17/08/2025: Il Bandierino is the ideal place for an aperitivo in Piazza del Campo: a great location, discreet service, and affordable prices. The aperitivo option is truly inviting, starting at €8 and including a pizza of your choice. And for dinner, in addition to the Tuscan menu, you can also enjoy a pizza and a drink for around €20 per person. Highly recommended!

11/09/2025: We were a part of 11 and we all enjoyed this restaurant that much we went twice. Staff were very friendly and nothing was any trouble . Food was bello and it all came out at the same time 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 I would highly recommend

09/09/2025: DELICIOUS LUNCH INSIDE A CASTLE ! My wife and I arrived in Florence by Bullet Train from Rome on Sunday, March 23rd. A well appointed king suite on the 5th floor of the luxurious Hotel Berchielli would be HOME for the next 4 days. Hard to beat that view of the picturesque River Arno ! We had a couple of day tours planned while in Florence and had engaged the services of our fav limo tour driver Martin who knew the ropes around here better than most. And more than that Martin had become our good friend since we first used his services 18 months before when he drove us from Florence to Bologna via the scenic route. On Monday Martin picked us up out front to begin our road tour of Tuscany. AMAZING SCENERY EVERYWHERE ! We stopped at Piazza del Campo for a look around...Siena Cathedral was beautiful ! In the distance I could see a large structure that looked like a castle. I said to Martin that I had never seen a castle....then we will go there Michael was his reply. Martin let us out at the front entrance while he parked the limo...and then he joined us within a few minutes. WOW ! What we could see out front sure looked majestic. NOTE ! San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, north-central Italy. Known as the Town of Five Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses which with its hilltop setting and encircling walls, form "an unforgettable skyline". In the 3rd century BC a small Etruscan village stood on the site of San Gimignano. Shortly after we entered through the front gate my wife bought a beautiful Italian wide brimmed straw hat to replace the one left behind on the Bullet Train. We walked along the pristine paved paths looking at the wide variety of small businesses designed to please the hordes of tourists who visit here. At around 1pm we decided it was time to have some lunch and Martin knew the perfect spot...La Biscondola. We found a level table on the sloping outdoor patio and a smiling server named Giusy brought us menus. FIRST UP ! I ordered a bottle of Vale Blonde Ale to come out with our glasses of iced waters. I also asked Guisy to bring me a tall stem glass. FOOD ! I wasn't really sure what I wanted so I thought ordering a Bruschetta would be a good start. My wife and Martin both went with serves of Zuppa Toscana di Farro ( Tuscan spelled soup ). My ice cold blonde ale in a tall stem glass tasted very good. SUPER FAST SERVICE ! Before we knew it our server Giusy brought everything out to our table. My wife and our friend Martin commented how satisfying their soups tasted....it was a chilly day. OMG ! When I ordered my bruschetta I figured it would be a small serve and then I would order something else. BIGGEST BRUSCHETTA EVER ! But I tell you what....it was totally delicious. DESSERT ! We had plans to buy gelatos at a very famous gelateria up the street but some sort of cake sounded nice. When I was checking out inside a bit earlier I saw this interesting looking cake on the bar counter. Giusy told me it was called Panforte Fichi e Noci ( figs, nuts, honey ). Everyone agreed we should have some. Soon after Giusy brought out 6 thin slices on a platter...it tasted dense, rich and very flavorsome. We loved it. I had a lovely chat with Stefania the owner before we headed off on our merry way. A VERY ENJOYABLE LUNCH !

18/06/2025: terrible service, slow, they brought the food with different waiting times, some were starting to eat and some were finished. not very good food. tried to call the waiters several times with poor results since they don't even look at you and some only speak English. terrible value for money.

01/09/2025: Hello to all of you dear readers, I propose a truly exquisite delicacy where you really want to eat together with your family, friends and relatives, even alone. I seriously guarantee you will taste all the specialties of this welcoming place. Friendly to say the least, but all the owners and staff are sociable. You eat well and very little, super good. You eat everything you want. The cooking is super special, cheap, but listen, you eat really, very good. Hygiene is TOP OF THE TOP. I was there for a week and you already say that I ate very well both in the restaurant and on the takeaway. Leccio Asciano pizzeria restaurant. Well, I tell you that the dish at the table is cooked at the moment, it is not junk food and the best of the TOP, drinks flow freely. 07/07/2025: We ate tartare and donzelle with cold cuts as an appetizer (the raw meat was excellent), as a first course the pici with white Chianina ragù and those creamed in pecorino. What can I say... excellent! Excellent value for money. Generous portions, kind and friendly staff. Informal and quiet atmosphere. To return!

26/08/2025: I love this kind of place, which gives even super-powered guys and girls the opportunity to work. I had a focaccia with porchetta that was top-notch, both in terms of planning and filling. The caramelized onions were truly excellent. Then, tempted by the woman who ordered them, I asked for a taste of the stewed carrots, which were excellent. The location is truly first-rate, and parking is convenient. If you're passing through Crema and want to stop in for a special breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend it.

28/07/2025: Excellent value for money, and the service makes the difference. The welcome was magnificent, polite and cheerful, never intrusive. Fatima and the other staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure to eat in a place where kindness is spontaneous, a quality that, unfortunately, is increasingly rare. Highly recommended.
