30/07/2025: Absolutely fantastic! There's not much seating, so pizza is mostly taken away. Luckily, we were able to sit at a table.
We were given the menu right away and ultimately decided on a quattro formaggi and della casa. Because pizza like at home in Italy has to be good. And it truly was; what a delicious pizza.
You can see your pizza going into the wood-fired oven, and the crust is so wonderfully thin and crispy. A real experience. Even many Italians come here, so it's not necessarily a tourist trap.
Everyone was super friendly and appreciates it if you make an effort to speak Italian.

The terrace on Via dei Sarti is pleasant and quiet.

27/07/2025: Niente di eccezionale, uno dei soliti ristorantini turistici che si trovano in questi luoghi, una tartare di chianina (spero) un po' troppo asciutta anche se buona, euro diciotto, tre normalissime bruschette euro undici, signori le bruschette sono fatte con una fetta di pane abbrustolito
un po' di aglio e olio e pomodoro o un tantino di lardo, capite che undici euro per tre fette di pane abbrustolito sono assolutamente eccessivi, come secondo una portata di cinghiale che tra l'altro si è fatto desiderare per più di mezz'ora, diciotto euro, buono ma porzione molto " misera" per finire mezzo litro di vino della casa sfuso, un normalissimo Sangiovese, euro nove.
Come riassunto nel titolo, ristorante turistico ma con prezzi non proprio turistici.

12/07/2025: We stopped for lunch in the middle of the afternoon. The manager happily invited us to sit down and we realized that the restaurant was actually going to close, the restaurateur didn't tell us and happily took our order anyway. The buffalo pizza was very very good, and the carbonara pasta too! We ate very well, the manager still took the time to make us a coffee at the end. The place is very clean, and no flies. We really appreciated that they welcomed us like this even though it was supposed to close, in the end it had to close 1 hour later. A big thank you for this good time we had. :-)

04/08/2025: Pessima esperienza!! La scusa della mancata connessione wi-fi non può mettere un tealt una gestione di 4 travoli!! Comande sbagliate, ritardi,... mio marito ha mangiato da solo e io pure...ma ovviamente il servizio lo hanno fatto pagare intero. SCONSIGLIO

02/12/2023: La cecina più buona e digeribile della Toscana! Premetto che amo la cecina ma in tutte le pizzerie Versiliesi mai trovata una cecina così bassa, ben cotta e digeribile! Vale la pena tornare a Volterra per mangiarla! Top! Simpaticissimo il proprietario! Grazie Laura e Alessandro
30/07/2023: Unfriendly and unprepared staff, no foreign language knowledge, avoid at any cost. I ordered two pizzas, and I was told that it will take 10 minutes until they are ready. They asked for upfront payment, of course. After 15 minutes of waiting I was told that it will be another 5 minutes. After 30 minutes I reminded one of the staff members who took my order that the wait takes longer than what was promised. The staff then got angry at me and talked over my head in Italian. I also felt some verbal aggression targeted at me, but as said, I can only assume because they talked in Italian. In the meantime they served pals of theirs instead of taking care of my order. After 40 minutes of waiting I was offered my money back or another 5 minutes waiting. As I lost lots of time already sitting in a their very bad and smelly environment instead of sightseeing with my kids, I said I’m fine with another 5 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting time they started to bake my pizzas. The end result tasted OK, but definitely not worth the money or the time. Shame on the staff, will not return. Such place does not deserve a spot in in such a beautiful city centre.
