06/09/2025: Recommended by a regular, we were amazed by the quality and unique beauty of this place, right in the center of Volterra. We had lunch in the beautiful dining room downstairs, next to the charming medieval cellar. The food was excellent, with a wide selection; the pici were delicious, and the pizza was also excellent. Service was prompt and friendly.

The waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable in suggesting and explaining the various dishes... we'll definitely be back because everything was excellent!!! See you next time in Tuscany!

Just steps from the center, you'll be greeted by the friendly and professional waiter who will graciously guide you on an authentic journey of flavors...providing delicious dishes prepared with passion and care. 12/09/2025: Highly not recommended... I sent back the first two pizzas because they were too salty, probably the dough. I reordered two more pizzas: they were equally salty. To avoid a pointless argument, I left paying €53 for four pizzas and two drinks. The chef was very rude.

25/09/2025: The food was quite tasty. Pizza and stuffed foccacia. Everything was served quickly. A carafe of red wine added to the Tuscan atmosphere. A fun way to flush the toilet ;-).

03/10/2025: Fantastic pizza! Worth a visit. I went back yesterday after six years. The pizza is still delicious. We also tried the carbonara, which was amazing. The house white wine was perfect. Very friendly service. When in Volterra, be sure to stop by for a bite to eat :)
03/09/2025: From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once inside, it more than makes up for it. The pizza was very tasty, but the seafood spaghetti was worth a solid 10 stars. "Grandma" is a very good and flavorful cook. So, I'll go there again to try out the rest. I'm already looking forward to it.

28/08/2025: The worst carbonara we've ever had was simply pasta with scrambled eggs. All the dishes were bland, completely unseasoned, and tasteless. Only the pizza was good, the only dish worth recommending. The service was very average; I wouldn't recommend it.

We had the risotto with porcini mushrooms and the beef with black truffle sauce. Absolutely great value for the quality!!!
It's a shame we were only here for a day trip.

28/09/2025: Honestly, I've never tasted such a bad pizza. The dough was still frozen, there was a lot of oil and it tasted of nothing, but at least they gave us a The Fork discount.
19/09/2025: Watch the bill!!
2 pizzas for €10.50 plus a €3 water = €38!! A real rip-off!! After arguing and checking the prices on the menu, the bill came to €28. €5 for the cover charge wasn't written anywhere, as is customary in Italy. The owner was very unpleasant! Stay away! The pizzas were hard to swallow, both literally and figuratively!!!

02/12/2023: La cecina più buona e digeribile della Toscana! Premetto che amo la cecina ma in tutte le pizzerie Versiliesi mai trovata una cecina così bassa, ben cotta e digeribile! Vale la pena tornare a Volterra per mangiarla! Top! Simpaticissimo il proprietario! Grazie Laura e Alessandro
30/07/2023: Unfriendly and unprepared staff, no foreign language knowledge, avoid at any cost. I ordered two pizzas, and I was told that it will take 10 minutes until they are ready. They asked for upfront payment, of course. After 15 minutes of waiting I was told that it will be another 5 minutes. After 30 minutes I reminded one of the staff members who took my order that the wait takes longer than what was promised. The staff then got angry at me and talked over my head in Italian. I also felt some verbal aggression targeted at me, but as said, I can only assume because they talked in Italian. In the meantime they served pals of theirs instead of taking care of my order. After 40 minutes of waiting I was offered my money back or another 5 minutes waiting. As I lost lots of time already sitting in a their very bad and smelly environment instead of sightseeing with my kids, I said I’m fine with another 5 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting time they started to bake my pizzas. The end result tasted OK, but definitely not worth the money or the time. Shame on the staff, will not return. Such place does not deserve a spot in in such a beautiful city centre.
