Pici with a little too much oil
23/02/2025: We were in Volterra and we decided to eat here a bit by chance, we really liked the "mixed" platter. I then had the pici with white Cinta Senese ragù, very good! The garlic ones were also appreciated.
We also liked the desserts, we had the strawberry panna cotta and the tiramisu.
Prices a little high, but understandable given that the area is touristy.

29/01/2025: Pasamos por una pizza a la hora del almuerzo en esta acogedora pizzería familiar. Las pizzas eran deliciosas - encantadora base crujiente e ingredientes frescos. Las pizzas están hechas con amor y orgullo. El servicio era genuino y los precios súper razonables!

15/01/2025: Cozy place, we stopped for lunch after a visit to Volterra. Friendly and welcoming staff. The menu ranges between meat and fish, carefully prepared and very good dishes, with average prices.

18/03/2025: Abbiamo visto questo posto in gita con la scuola e abbiamo deciso di entrare per fare un pranzo tipico toscano. Il locale è molto accogliente, il personale è gentilissimo e anche simpatico e ottimi sono i piatti. Molto consigliato è il tagliere di salumi! Se ne avremo l’occasione, ritorneremo sicuramente!!

18/01/2025: The best pizza I've ever eaten!
31/10/2024: Last year, in the same place, we ate the best pizza in Italy and drank many liters of the house red super wine... this year, a big disappointment, and we came to Voltera just for the pizza. The wine tasted very bad, almost not drinkable, and the pizza was a severe disappointment, not even close to last year's gastronomic pleasure.
All in all, we don't come anymore!

07/01/2025: I primi molto molto buoni, il vino della casa anche. Baccalà molto buono, so che forse esagero, ma io dò 5/5, anche per la simpatia del locale, ed il prezzo adeguato. Ho visto antipasti niente male sul piatto dei vicini (salumi).

30/01/2025: An elderly gentleman who makes pizzas in a wood-fired oven and makes them in the pan that any grandmother at home uses, you can't call me pizza for 2 reasons: 1 you can't taste the flavor and crunchiness of the stone heated by the embers, it's 2 because they make the pizzas so small that in real pizzerias they're baby and in the end they cost too much for their quality, I completely screwed up.
28/09/2024: A charming and recommendable place in Saline. Delicious pizza, yum :-)

24/01/2025: Andata per una cena con amica, per fare due chiacchere... Il locale era quasi vuoto, subito una chiara sensazione che fossero "poco felici" di vederci entrare. Pizza buona, anche se una aveva le zucchine acide (dovute togliere). Alle 22.00 ci é stato chiesto di andare perché volevano chiudere. Conto "importante"... 2 pizze, 2 coca cole, 2 caffè.... 43€. Io sceglierò altri locali per il futuro! Mai più....
Peccato, perché avevo già mangiato in questa pizzeria più di un anno fa e l'accoglienza e i prezzi erano nettamente diversi
12/01/2025: The place is pleasant, historic, in the center of the wonderful Volterra. We ate appetizers, tagliatelle with wild boar, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. A real goodness. Well-groomed service. Great prices

13/11/2024: Terrible experience; Non -existent value for money. I took a fried seafood dish for 18 euros and it was very little fish, with very small prawns, scanty and limp, as well as cold! the mushroom meatballs were raw inside and my husband's soup was very poor for its 12 euro cost. The only positive thing is the location. Service not bad. However, a 68 euro lunch that wasn't worth it at all. A big disappointment.

02/12/2023: La cecina più buona e digeribile della Toscana! Premetto che amo la cecina ma in tutte le pizzerie Versiliesi mai trovata una cecina così bassa, ben cotta e digeribile! Vale la pena tornare a Volterra per mangiarla! Top! Simpaticissimo il proprietario! Grazie Laura e Alessandro
30/07/2023: Unfriendly and unprepared staff, no foreign language knowledge, avoid at any cost. I ordered two pizzas, and I was told that it will take 10 minutes until they are ready. They asked for upfront payment, of course. After 15 minutes of waiting I was told that it will be another 5 minutes. After 30 minutes I reminded one of the staff members who took my order that the wait takes longer than what was promised. The staff then got angry at me and talked over my head in Italian. I also felt some verbal aggression targeted at me, but as said, I can only assume because they talked in Italian. In the meantime they served pals of theirs instead of taking care of my order. After 40 minutes of waiting I was offered my money back or another 5 minutes waiting. As I lost lots of time already sitting in a their very bad and smelly environment instead of sightseeing with my kids, I said I’m fine with another 5 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting time they started to bake my pizzas. The end result tasted OK, but definitely not worth the money or the time. Shame on the staff, will not return. Such place does not deserve a spot in in such a beautiful city centre.
