I migliori ristoranti di cucina pizza e pasta in Pisa

22/06/2026: I went on a Friday evening. Il Moreccio is a pizzeria with a wood-fired oven for takeout. They also have a few tables in a small side room and a couple at the entrance. At first glance, it's a typical local place, in a hamlet of Cascina (San Giorgio) right on the Toscoromagnola highway. Parking is easy: there's always space along the road in that area. The initial impression is positive: a small and well-kept place, yet genuine and authentic. You're truly surprised when you realize that the owner does his job with passion and curiosity. This is evident from many signs: a wide selection of pizzas, including classics and many others resulting from research and experimentation, with attention to the quality of the dough, the flours, and the raw materials. There were two of us. I ordered a pizza with zucchini flowers, burrata, and anchovies. A white pizza. They recommended a bottle of Guinness, which I'd never tried before, but which was actually good and went very well with it. In addition to a basic selection of regular beers, they also have a selection of specialty and craft beers. My companion had a Moreccio with sausage and an unfiltered Ichnusa beer. Before we started, we tried the cecina. Excellent. Soft on the inside, slightly crunchy on the outside, flavorful and tasty. I wasn't expecting it, and I have to say it's easily a contender for the best cecina in Pisa. I'm not kidding. Then came the pizzas. The style is thin-crust, well-topped, with a light (and very digestible) dough. Remarkable! The photo taken with my old phone speaks for itself: you wouldn't expect a pizza like this in San Giorgio di Cascina. And yet, there it is, as beautiful as it is delicious. Applause! PS: I went back recently and they renovated the dining room (I must say, it's a nice and comfortable place for a quick bite). I also saw that they've introduced some interesting menus (children up to 12, small margherita pizza - but it's practically normal - and a canned drink = 6 euros! Very good!)

21/06/2026: Prices listed on the website are long underpriced. Update them, otherwise you'll look bad!

11/06/2026: Good Italian restaurant, good value for money and fast service. Friendly staff.

09/06/2026: The service is okay but the food was completely tasteless we got 5 different dishes and everything was tasteless even the pizzas

08/07/2026: I ordered pizza on Delivero. Want a good pizza? Change locations; the dough is heavy and hard to digest. The photos on the menu aren't theirs.

20/06/2026: The pizza was burnt and had very few ingredients. Delivery was not respected, even though it was a Thursday evening (I don't imagine it was Saturday).
