25/03/2026: It's been a while since I've eaten pizza at this pizzeria, but I can safely say it ranks among the top worst in Grosseto. I had the queen of pizzas, the Margherita: dry, without any toppings, and to top it off, even cold. Sorry, we're not quite there yet.

15/03/2026: If I enter a restaurant and ask if there's anything vegan on the menu, there are usually two possibilities: 1) the restaurant owner makes themselves available to accommodate the customer as much as possible (which generally happens), perhaps by saying, "We don't have much vegan on the menu, but we can adapt a few dishes, don't worry." 2) the restaurant owner (in this case, an elderly, not-at-all-friendly lady) responds to the question with a curt, "No, nothing." Well, the lady responded with that curt, "No, nothing," despite later discovering that the menu includes pickled vegetables, mushroom gnocchi, etc. For the rest of the meal, she was consistently rude and blatantly hostile to vegans, so much so that she even attacked the other (non-vegan) people at my table. The world is progressing; adapt.

04/03/2026: If there's truly a gastronomic cultural heritage worth preserving, it's that of the trattorias on provincial roads, in small villages, at crossroads, in hamlets now forgotten by the mass tourism. And very often, you'll find a much more attentive level of service here than in restaurants that pretend—or want to pretend—to be superior. Here, in particular, it was the service that struck us as above average: a very young woman—twenty years old—who was so bright, fast, courteous, and above all professional, yet this isn't her profession: she'll soon be leaving for Spain to study. Thus, she'll be learning a fourth language. Having said the service, with the dining rooms almost full on a Sunday lunch, let's move on to the menu. You have to be careful here, especially if you're not in your twenties anymore, as the portions are generous. Typical dishes, well-prepared, with an excellent selection on a menu that focuses on local produce, traditional pastas, and meat. Express cooking, so some dishes require a long wait, and our suckling pig took about ten minutes, just enough time to get lost in the croutons. The side potatoes were excellent, not only for their preparation but also for their quality. Bulk wine, as is usual, was more than reasonable. The price was reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

08/04/2026: Wow! I wasn't expecting a place with this quality. Visited on Easter Sunday 2026. The quality of the ingredients was incredible, and the recipes were truly delicious. We ate a lot, trying various dishes to please our palate. Fantastic location, very intimate. Thank you, chef!

05/01/2026: In the small square of Fonteblanda, this bar-trattoria offers authentic cuisine in a simple setting with very friendly staff. The menu isn't extensive, but what's on offer is prepared with passion and the portions are generous. If I ever return to this area, it would be a pleasure to dine here again.

10/04/2026: This was one of the best meals we had in Tuscany. It was prepared with passion, the menu is a work of art an the service was professional yet personable. The two things that puzzled us where how this place does not have a Michelin star and why it was not packed with people. The reason for the latter is probaly that it is located in a very nice, but sleepy village and people simply do not know about it. Which in a way made it even more special.

07/02/2026: The best thing is the ambiance; the meat used to be good, but today many of the pizzas were too dry. The tomatoes and Parmesan were supermarket quality. The house wine was too warm and too acidic. Prices are now much higher than on the website; even the €3 cover charge is steep. A family with two children ends up paying €12 for a seat. The pricing is a rip-off.

08/02/2026: Feel at home! We stumbled upon this trattoria by chance, but we left full, happy, and satisfied. Authentic, family-run cuisine, generous and tasty dishes, friendly service, and moderate to low prices. The owners go out of their way to make their guests feel at home and are also very attentive to special needs (my partner, who is celiac, had a wide variety of gluten-free options and homemade products on the menu). Definitely a place to try again!

10/01/2026: A typical bar in the city center, near the station. A classic, family-friendly atmosphere. The pastries are well-stocked and delicious. Breakfast is recommended. Attentive and friendly service.

01/10/2025: There's a wide selection on the menu, but as a customer who mostly orders pizza, I have to say that over time, the pizzas have gotten smaller and less topped, and the waits have gotten longer, especially for takeout: the hours can be up to 30 minutes later!!! And if you work a night shift, you might have to make do with leftovers from the fridge.
