12/02/2026: February 8, 2026 I ordered home delivery from the Ospedaletto with Just Eat. They were on time, and the panzerotti were very large and filling. The prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food served. I'd also try them on-site. February 12, 2026 I ordered with the Just Eat app for delivery, again at the Ospedaletto, at 7:25 PM, and they even delivered it 6 minutes early. The food is always hot, generous in size, and with plenty of toppings. I ordered fries and fried and baked panzerotti. It's definitely an excellent place.
28/12/2025: I ordered pizzas and panzerotti on Just Eat at 6:00 PM on Saturday for delivery at 9:10 PM. The order was accepted by the pizzeria, and at 9:35 PM I called to ask how it was progressing, and they told me the delivery driver had already left. I pointed out that the distance from my home pizzeria was 10 minutes. At 10:00 PM I called back, and when I insisted, the woman justified herself by saying it was Saturday night and that the delivery driver had two other orders picked up and to be placed before mine. When I asked, "So, will my pizzas arrive cold?" I was told, "If you wanted it hot, you could come here." No, sir, the restaurant business is something else entirely! In my opinion, if you accept orders at a certain time, you should be able to guarantee service, obviously with a minimum tolerance, but not with delays of more than an hour and with completely rude responses! Bari is full of good pizzerias, with people who deserve your money more, so stay away! Response update: I preferred to gloss over it so as not to be too harsh since it was not appropriate for the manager to comment on the panzerotti that arrived cold.

14/10/2025: The food quality was excellent. Excellent service and the choice ranged from an excellent appetizer to an extraordinary pizza; from a superb first course to a special second course. The only flaw (not significant, but could be improved): the acoustics. On a Friday night, the place was packed, and we dined to unpleasant background noise. Overall: perfect! I'll be back 🫂

17/11/2025: Returning to Peppo's on Via Regina Margherita is always a pleasure. This pizzeria has a nostalgic feel that makes me feel at home, and the owner, Peppe, is a real character, friendly and just the right amount of gruff. Let's talk about the basics: the fried foods are delicious and the drinks are always cold. But the real honorable mention goes to the baked panzerotti, simply excellent. As a lover of spicy food, both the panzerotto and the spicy salami pizza are a real treat that never disappoints. I like the pizza because it has a lovely crunchy texture. There's great honesty in the dish: they don't skimp on the quantity of ingredients, and even if we're not talking about "top-quality" raw materials, the result is more than satisfactory. Above all, and this is crucial, I've never had digestive problems the next day. Of course, the dough could be even better, perhaps with a longer leavening time, but that's just a small detail. In short: it might not be the most technically incredible pizza I've ever tasted, but I always go back to Peppo's. For the average in Barletta, the quality-price ratio is simply superb. Highly recommended.
29/08/2025: Takeout pizzeria. The pizzas are generally good. We ordered them a couple of nights because we were nearby. The crust is thin and crispy (I prefer them softer), the ingredients are decent and generously portioned. Prices are good. The atmosphere doesn't convey a great sense of cleanliness (they may be spotless, but that's just how it looks). Some pizzas were overcooked, with burnt edges and bases.

26/01/2026: I'm a regular at this restaurant located in the historic center of Martina Franca, in the town's central and oldest square. This restaurant/pizzeria, with both indoor and outdoor dining, specializes in traditional Martina Franca meat cuisine. Bombette, chicken livers, gnummarielli, and exquisite veal steaks are of the highest quality. The animals, slaughtered in-house to create these fantastic steaks, are Limousin breed, as the owner specified. Therefore, the aging times are rigorous and perfect. The ovens used to cook the meat in Martina Franca are unique: the meat is skewered on long skewers, which are positioned near the embers at an angle. This allows the rendered fat to slide off the skewers without dripping, making the meat very flavorful and avoiding the excess smoke that normally occurs when the fat drips onto the embers below, horizontally, as is usual in traditional ovens. It goes without saying that this is my favorite restaurant, not only because I've known the owner personally for over 30 years, but also because the food is delicious! The pizza, the baked potatoes cooked in ash, the typical cured meats and cheeses, and the traditional Martina Franca bread (usually firm and slightly airy) make this restaurant excellent. Try it and believe it. The prices are below average. Thank you for everything and for your innate kindness!

01/02/2026: A terrible experience! I found it strange to immediately find a table on a Saturday night at 9:20, and indeed there was a reason! It was my first time there, and it was a bit gloomy inside, mostly due to the dark walls and yellow lights. But upon leaving, we were directed to a room at the back, a bit remote from the rest. The waiters were barely visible and were struggling. Just keep in mind that for the condiments, I had to go into the other room to ask for them. That said, the sore point isn't the lack of waiters, but the food! The selection is very limited, mostly simple dishes, especially appetizers, nothing really elaborate, and in any case, gourmet prices. For example, an appetizer plate can range from €6 for three bruschettas to €13-15 for a bresaola appetizer passed off as carpaccio with a couple of strands of stracciatella cheese or 3-4 octopus tentacles with a chopped and sautéed boiled potato! Which already seems like an exaggeration given the lack of preparation, but all in all, it wasn't bad, so it's fine... the problem arises with the first course. We each ask for a first course—I choose seafood, my husband chooses meat, and I choose seafood. Aside from the pumpkin-focused option, which was obviously declined, I opt for a seafood tagliolini and he for the meat option! A disaster!!!!!!! The double tagliolini, cut so thin you can't even roll them up, the pitiful seafood, the mussels so overcooked they're dry and tiny, the rubbery shrimp—the kind frozen and pre-cleaned at discount stores, the kind you can't even remove the guts from—and let's leave the cuttlefish pieces alone! Of course, the red tagliolini, to top it off, is absolutely salty! In short, a dish from a nightmare kitchen! All served in a way that not even your grandmother would dump it on your plate for Sunday lunch! Truly depressing! As for the land-based one, the same thing, but instead of the seafood rubbers, strips of meat, like tagliata, always put in the sauce and topped with stracciatella! I'm not even going to tell you what I think... That said, in addition to these two dishes, we ordered meat for the children. The waiter recommended the tagliata (beef steak) for the kids because it was more tender than the entrecote, and we relied on him, asking for the courtesy of having the fries delivered with the meat, and to have the meat delivered first to them and then to us because they were hungry... Guess when the dishes arrived!? My husband's carpaccio arrived first, then the octopus with potatoes for me, and finally the meat for the kids, after a while the fries, and then our first courses! A sign of gallantry in serving my husband first, which is priceless. Obviously, it's not the waiter's fault, but the kitchen's... In short, after all this, we didn't feel like ordering anything else, so the two appetizers, the two tagliata (beef steak), a plate of fries, and those sub-types of first courses with two colas, a bottle of water, and half a liter of wine—that was good, for a modest total of €100! Since we had 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, and 2 second courses, it's as if we spent €50 each for nothing, and what's more, it was very bad and of terrible quality!!!! Shameful! Moral of the story? We won't be back, obviously!

15/09/2025: Two hours—and I mean two hours—of waiting, and when it finally comes, the insult comes: three out of six items are missing, paid for and forgotten. The food, let's be clear, isn't the problem: good, with a varied and tasty menu. Two hours of waiting can still pass, albeit with difficulty, but discovering that, after so long, what we'd already paid for had been "forgotten" is a far greater affront than the slowness. It's not a matter of distraction, but of disrespect: the customer is not an optional extra to be treated lightly. The sore point, however, isn't limited to the wait or the inefficiency. What makes the experience truly indigestible is the attitude of the ladies at the counter: a lethal cocktail of rudeness, arrogance, and impoliteness that manages to sap even the last vestige of appetite. The feeling isn't of being welcomed, but barely tolerated, as if the customer were an intruder and not the very reason for the business. Bottom line: the food is good, but there's no fried food in the world worth two hours of humiliation and waiting. If patience were edible, I'd leave feeling full.

09/03/2026: We were there yesterday, Sunday, March 8th, arriving at 1:10 PM. You enter this restaurant through the bar, and we waited for the owner to finish serving appetizers, before switching from bartender to waiter mode in the adjacent room to set up the tables. We were seated around 1:40 PM and waited another half hour for appetizers. On a positive note, the appetizers were good and plentiful, and we left for a first course at 4 PM. It's an ideal place for those with time to spare, but overall, the food is quite good and the price is average.
05/03/2026: The quality/price ratio is worth considering. Prices are definitely high for a day trip! I don't think I'll go back.
